First, I specifically asked whether the amount of food we ordered would be enough for three people. Your employee should have advised us to order more or be nice about it, but instead, my question was ignored and we were rushed through the order. I understand that you had many customers waiting, but being busy does not excuse poor customer service or rushing customers out. The person working at the front counter should have explained the menu, answered our questions, and warned us that the amount of food would not be enough especially after I directly asked. I would not recommend this restaurant when the staff cannot properly explain the menu or make basic suggestions regarding portions. Also, not providing bowls at a food establishment is wild and extremely inconvenient. We were also told that the restaurant was takeout only, even though there were tables available. More importantly, the large sign outside clearly advertises "DINE-IN, TAKE OUT, DELIVERY." There was nothing posted stating that dine-in was unavailable. Telling customers it is takeout only directly contradicts your own sign and is misleading. We trusted your employee's judgment, paid for our order, and left without receiving the assistance we requested. The lack of communication, misleading dine-in information, and overall customer service was extremely disappointing and unacceptable...... ? "This was supposed to be a review of the food, but the experience ended up being so bad that the poor customer service became the main issue." - updated At approximately 1:46 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, the business owner responded only with, "Sorry about that." Unfortunately, that response did not address any of the specific concerns I raised. A meaningful response would have acknowledged what happened, clarified the dine-in policy, and explained how the restaurant plans to improve communication and customer service moving forward. The lack of detail in that reply also gives the impression that the concerns raised are not being taken seriously or that the business does not really care about the customer experience. I am not a local customer. I travel, read reviews, and rely on the experiences shared by others when deciding where to spend my money. I visited this establishment because of the positive things people had written about it. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect those reviews. I am not asking anyone to be punished, nor am I trying to unfairly damage the business. I am sharing my honest experience because customers deserve clear information, respectful service, and accurate expectations before placing and paying for an order. Should I say "sorry about that as well"? Do better!

I've drove by this spot a few times and it seems like one of those neighborly spots. I finally had the chance to check it out. Here was my experience. AMBIANCE Parking: Located in a small plaza with limited parking. If not street parking not too far away. Seating: Casual dining with enough room for couples, families, and small groups. Comfortable without feeling crowded. Vibes: Welcome to Linda Vista. Not too much of a flashy place but lot of history that helped make San Diego what it is today. Tid Din has that welcoming neighborhood restaurant feel. Nothing flashy or over-the-top--just a clean, comfortable space where the focus stays on the food. It's the kind of place you could easily make part of your regular dinner rotation. DESSERT Mango Sticky Rice (Recommend) A simple dessert done well. The sticky rice was warm, soft, and perfectly chewy, soaking up the rich coconut cream without becoming overly sweet. The fresh mango added a bright and natural sweet flavor that helped balance the richness of the rice. A comforting dish to end you meal. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and welcoming. Got more order in a very quick and timely manner. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Good choices, fair prices, and a casual welcoming atmosphere. Tid Din isn't trying to reinvent Thai cuisine, itt's simply serving comforting, well-executed dishes that keep people coming back. Sometimes that's exactly what you're looking for. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. #RepresentAZN TIPS * Great spot for a casual lunch or dinner. * Tin Din means connected to the Earth.

Just okay. I got drunken noodle mild spice (specifically selected mild and not no spice), and it absolutely had no spice and was a bit bland overall. The positive stars come from the mango sticky rice. Ordered delivery so I can't speak to the ambiance or service.

First time ordering from here and OMG! That first bite I took made my taste buds dance. Food was full of flavor and great level of spice. The food portions were great and affordable prices. I will definitely be ordering again!

I've been eyeing this place. My friend recommended after I smelled his food from the other side of the office. It smelled so good; like authentic Thai/lao food. That smell made my decision to finally give them a try. Oh boy!!!! I can't believe I haven't tried it any sooner! I had the beef larb with rice, spiciest level and the chicken Panang curry (spiciest level). I can def handle my spices. Everything was cooked perfectly, delicious, so flavorful! Great portions and packed with care! I like my Thai tea about 50-70% sweetness; Tin Din was perfectly made. I can wait to try their other dishes in the future.

My wife found this place on DoorDash and we were enticed by the prices as they are still soft opening. We placed our orders online and proceeded to the store and arrived at 11:45. Unfortunately, we did not get our order until 12:30 because the cook did not show up to work on time. I understand life happens, but it was still disappointing nonetheless. You can order at the counter and pick up your food when called. The dining area only has a few 4 person tables on the inside and 2 tables outside. The parking lot only has a few spots, so this place is very small. When the food finally came out, it was so worth the wait. The flavors were on point, the noodles were chewy, and the meat was tender. The portion size was big as well. On our second visit, our order was ready to go with no issues. This place is not only delicious, but affordable as well. Definitely recommend this place.

A former taco shop in Linda Vista has turned into a casual Thai street food eatery, Tid Din. The structure looked like it used to be the home of a diner with its strange roof angles. There was an on-site parking lot that could hold about half a dozen vehicles. The inside only had three four-top tables for seating while a few tables were set up outside in front of the building. The menu screen was mounted right behind the service counter when you walked in. Appetizers, grilled proteins, larb salads, tom yum soups, Thai coconut curries, and rice bowls were the categories. My meal consisted of the Fried Tofu and a Grilled Pork Rice Bowl. Eight pieces of tofu made up the appetizer that was served with a sweet chili dipping sauce. They came fresh out of the fryer so I had to be careful with the hot temperature before taking a bite. Thai jasmine rice, cilantro, cucumber, carrot, and cherry tomato were the ingredients that came with the grilled pork in the bowl. Even though I was dining in, both items were served in separate round cardboard bowls which was awkward. The meat was cooked just right while the cup of Thai chili fish sauce provided additional moisture to the mix. My dining experience at Tid Din was at a three star level.

This is a great spot if you want Thai. Food comes out extremely hot. You really can't eat it or serve children until it cools. I asked for an extra bowl and plate to separate and let a smaller portion cool quickly for my kids. They give huge portions. It was definitely enough food to share and have lunch the following day. The food doesn't come out together and wait was about 30 minutes. It wasn't the best choice for us with two kids and running behind schedule for dinner but we made it work. There are about 4 tables inside and a few outside with a standing eating area. Two bathrooms are available. The parking lot is small. Maybe 6 cars... it was pretty tight and you back out directly onto the street. You'll need to ensure you look carefully for traffic.

Soft opening. Decent parking, easy on your wallet. Chicken, Beef, and Veg offerings accompanied by your choice of rice. Friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Had a training nearby and saw this spot was relatively new and I can go for Thai almost any day. I asked the cashier what he recommended and he told me try the grilled pork rice bowl so I had that with a few of their sauces on the side. The pork was incredibly tender and overall , the flavor was great, not salty and the portion lasted me 2 meals. Can't wait to come back and try their curry next!

First time ordering from here and the food was delicious, but I found a piece of wirey metal in my pad Thai. So sad since I wanted to make this a regular spot to order from. :(

Tid Din is a new thai restaurant where Taco Bomb used to be. It is right next to my apartment so I had to check it out. There are parking spots on the property which is a plus. They recently added in a mango with sweet rice dish that I saw on social media and I was craving a sweet treat one night and I decided to try it here. I was impressed for the quality and the price. which I thought was decent and hit the spot! Im happy there is a restaurant so close by that I can walk to if I don't feel like cooking. I definitely need to try the food dishes in the future!

Saw their sign and decide to try this new Thai food restaurant in Linda vista. Probably the best kept secret for Thai food in San Diego, and I know Thai, because I'm married to one. We ordered the grilled pork laarb, and the chicken panang curry. Absolutely outstanding and the portions are very generous. Don't let the paper plates and plastic fork and spoon scare you. They are extra thick and heavy duty. The food more than makes up for it. They just opened, so the menu is still a work in process, and they are constantly adding new items weekly. The food is a five star - first rate and FABULOUS experience...

This was definitely enough food for all of us with some leftovers to go. We all thought the Crab Fried Rice was the star, definitely very flavorful and the dish that stood out for us. There was actually a lot of crab in it which was great! We had asked for all dishes to be mild because one of my friends has a sensitive stomach, but I think the peppers in the Pad See Ew were actual spicy peppers and not just green bell peppers so that dish still had a kick to it. Overall delicious meal, my only gripe is that they packaged everything to go even though we said we were eating there, so with the small tables it was hard to find enough space for all of our food/tops and such. I guess that's an easy way for us to pack the leftover food to go though, so I understand why they do that. I did see that they're renovating a couple doors down and it looks like there's going to be actual dine-in seating!! It looked super IG friendly so I'm excited to visit when their bigger location opens!

For an appetizer, we had the tofu spring rolls! DELISH. Becky, our gracious server, was wonderful and was kind enough to break out our bill.
