For higher end antiques, watches and very unique items this is a great place to browse. The veteran museum upstairs has closed and moved to a new location. I have taken several antique clocks and music boxes in for repair and they have been great. Today is a Christmas music box with moving dancers that are not spinning due to a gear issue. They also replace Watch batteries . Definitely a great place to look for one of a kind items.

    Really cool antique organ

By far one of my favorite antique shops on Beach St., this is mostly due to the amount of older…read moreadvertising pieces. The shop seems to always have a few things that weren't there the time before I stopped and there are always some really unique pieces although the pricing reflects the owners love for these types of antiques. I have negotiated a few times on some neon signs that I really loved but again the owner either has to much invested financially or emotionally to part with those.

Recently had the displeasure of meeting the owner. First of all, he was 'pretending' that he wasn't…read morethe owner as to not talk prices with other customers there but my family with me, who live in FL, knew he was indeed the owner. So I had two items in hand and asked him to take less for the first item, he agreed only after a little back and forth on the price and grilling me why I wanted the item...odd... But he did agree so I thought why not try for the second item my daughter wanted. Neither item was a big ticket item besides. His prices are high and where I come from, you can and most times do negotiate...not with this guy apparently. They're supposed to be going out of business so why not sell?! On the second item, I thought we were negotiating when he flipped out and threw the item (a purse) and refused to sell it to me and he was yelling so everyone could hear. He asked if I would go into Walmart and ask them to take less for a can of peas...apples and oranges (little privately owned store vs. a corporation). I was with two people who stood speechless and horrified at his childish behavior because we seemed to be almost playfully going back and forth about price. Anyone there could tell you (and others did tell me) that I was not confrontational or rude. He even had another customer put his item back and refuse to give him the business because of, as he put it "the way he acted". I actually had to ask him if he was serious when he had his little tantrum because he didn't show any anger, really, while trying to come to some agreement over the price, I was confused and thought he was maybe joking, at first, but he continued insulting me...he was so unprofessional and demeaning. I was completely embarrassed but not him, he asked (almost politely) if I wanted a bag for the first item. Hands down the worst experience there in Florida. Stay away. Let's not encourage that behavior!
