I used to love antiques, though I skip most places nowadays as I already just have too much stuff, but if I lived in Ormand this place would be dangerous. They truly had so much cool stuff. Luckily there was a sale for the end of the year, as I walked in and bought the first thing I saw...and it was half price. It was a beautiful small sled decked out for Xmas. Decided to stop by here while antiquing in the Daytona area this past weekend. We were greeted upon entry and informed of the sales going on, which was 50% on everything, except those marked no discount, which were 20%. Normally, this would worry a person before looking around, but I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. This place is awesome! They have antiques from almost every Country and period you could imagine and furniture pieces I would not have hesitated in buying as a starter piece to building a theme around for your home. The prices were extremely reasonable and I could not find any broken or damaged items being passed off and as in excellent condition. The temperature in the place was kept at a very comfortable setting to peruse at your leisure. My only issue is they have a cafe taking up part of their available space. Now, I cannot say whether the cafe is worth the visit, but they should definitely consider expanding, as we enjoyed every nook and cranny of this place and a larger store would add to the experience. Either way, I have added them to our yearly stops and recommend you give them a chance. read more

Talk about a step back in time,,, it was great to visit this store. A little bit of everything here. I remember the Dunn Hardware and Toy store on Beach Street growing up as a child. I loved it. Dunns attic was super cool and had some amazing finds. Everything was fairly priced and well organized. The sheer amount of items was slightly overwhelming, however added to the experience. The service was nice as you weren't hounded while being there just one lady came by to remind us about a sale going on and that was that. Definitely will be returning. read more

What a wonderful place to spend an hour on a rainy afternoon! A real treasure trove of nostalgia and interesting & unique items. From gorgeous furniture pieces and artwork to memories. My Mother had that tabletop food grinder and crank butter churn when I was a kid. Every turn was a surprise and delight. Quite a bit of various Christmas items from tiny elves to large displays. One small area appeared to be centered around African culture and animals. Another area theme was Chinese culture and vases. It seemed to go on and on and finally ended up at a comfortable little cafe. Oh they did offer a special $1.00 Mimosa while shopping. But I was nervous enough sliding between displays, feeling a bit like a bull in a crystal shop. A little more on the higher end of consignment shops, a bit pricey. I have been working with Wes for over 4 years. He is knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Mostly I have been downsizing. And I've done very well by Dunn's Attic. I've even bought a few things. They have amazing and unique items. And I enjoy a Mimosa or Sangria when I'm there. The restaurant has amazing food. And I enjoy feeding the fish in the pond. Though they are not neglected and probably don't need my help. Any negative comments are just negative people that probably didn't get their way. Which is just a shame. If nothing else, have a drink while you wonder and shop. They encourage it. Love this place. read more

Very expensive and cramped. The best way I can describe it is that it's an overpriced garage sale.

I was very intrigued by this place at first. A friend and I met at Rosie's for breakfast then wandered around the emporium. While there are some magnificent treasures, many are way overpriced. The amount of racist memorabilia and the sections dedicated to MAGA confirmed I would not spend any money here. I think the idea is a great concept, but the owners need to make this a safe place for everyone to shop without perpetuating racism and hate. read more

Way overpriced even with their "50% off sales." I was "followed around constantly" by a younger female under the guise of "helping" me. I would walk around a corner...every corner... and "bam" there she was... It made me very uncomfortable and was not necessary. The absolute worst part of my experience was I was told one price for an item and then when I went to pay, I was told a higher price. That my friends is a sign of an unscrupulous dealer and completely illegal. I also want to reinforce a couple of other feedback comments regarding wheelchair/scooter/rolling walker usage. The walkways are narrow with items sticking out into pathways making it challenging for those with disabilities. Be careful! read more

There are antique stores and there are consignment stores but this is the best of both. You can find so many incredible antique items at good prices in this store. There's also a very nice restaurant you can sit eat and have sodas from. They also serve mimosas if you wish to have one while walking around. If you're looking for unique items this is also a great place to shop for gifts. read more

Love this place! Lots of beautiful antiques and furniture. I wish it was open later. We don't even get up until 2:00 pm on the weekends lol and they close at 4pm. By the time the family is dressed and ready it's already closing. We work all week until 5:30 pm and after work we need to eat dinner so we can hardly ever make it here. The restaurant is good if you can make it in time before they close which is even earlier most days than the consignment store. If your a person of leisure who doesn't work all day or own a business then I'm sure you can make it here on time & find some treasures. When you find your treasure jump on it because it won't be there tomorrow. This is the kind of place you need time to look around every nook and see everything especially if your into designing and remodeling or simply want to freshen up your home or vacation home. The prices are in line with the treasures you find. I've always been able to find what I need when I have time to go here. I recommend this place take your time and the sales people are awesome. What a cool place. Daughter and I loved this eclectic estate sale shop. We spent quite a while browsing though each and every nook. Some items were just silly and others real finds. They have just about anything and everything you could possibly need for a home. We were very happy with our purchases. Daughter got a small little upholstered bucket chair for her living room. It was just what she had been looking for. She also found a really beautiful Tiffany style lamp. It is really stunning. I found a china Royal Dalton lady to add to my collection. I am always looking for these and was so happy to find one! I am sure that their inventory turns over frequently so it would be worth it to check in here often. read more

The staff was very helpful, wearing masks and suggest I sample their $1.00 mimosas while I shopped. This was my first visit to Dunn's and I must say it's quite impressive, the selections here are vast, from very nice estate type furnishings, to some very interesting collectibles. I actually despise "clowns" and often post photos of them to wart off any bad karma but in reality I think I'm anti-clown, but if you're into this absurd type of collecting there may be no better place for you to score what you may consider magical memorabilia. This is a giant shop that is very clean and organized with plenty of friendly staff on hand to assist you. Today's visit of course was filled with lots of Christmas stuff on sale if that's your thing including a few tables and displays outside in front of the store. There's also a café located inside that I looked in to check it out but opted not to partake. This is one of those places I'm sure I'll drop in from time to time, it was busy enough to think the inventory turns over being it's definitely one of the better shop in the area. read more

What a fun adventure! My daughter and I spent a very enjoyable afternoon finding treasures. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, especially the owner and his family. Prices are quite reasonable, items are in fine shape and if you're interested, there may well be information about the origin of the item. Right now there is a wonderful pedal car, shaped as a plane, hanging from the ceiling. It is from the about 1951, so adorable. Also a hand carved dining table that has a direct connection to Ferdinand Marco, who was the president of the Philippines for many years. There are 2 beautiful cash registers that are such gems. One from 1902 in marvelous shape. Treasures abound, so take your time perusing. I am not related to anyone at Dunns's, I am just trying to let people know how great a place it is, so they don't miss it. We spent so much time there, we ate there, very good, and the key lime soda is great. This is my first Internet review, and may be the last, as impressing me is hard to do. read more

I attended Dunn's first auction. I mostly agree with the other reviewer MH and will add some comments. It appeared that the auction house was trying to get retail prices on many of the items and they were not going to sell unless they did. The auctioneer used the terms "high value" and "we know what this is worth" repeatedly as he reviewed papers in front of him. People sat on their hands as item after item was bought out and went unsold. Dunn's should take a look at Berner's auction in Deland if they haven't already. On Oct. 16th Berner's auctioned a diamond ring with a included and documented insurance replacement value of $8000. So not a cheap ring. No reserve as are almost all items at Berner's. The ring finally went for $2900 and there was a ton of bid interest. I was thinking as I watched this ring sell at Berner's, there is no way this would have sold at Dunn's as they would have set a retail value on the ring. Not everything is bad at Dunn's. They have spent a ton of money on their beautiful facility and the staff is great. They had a great crowd for their first auction. I hope that they can make adjustments and be successful. Ormond Beach is one of the most affluent area in Volusia county but it's not West Palm Beach. Businesses/individuals in this area are not going to spend thousands of dollars at retail prices at an auction. They will spend thousands at a "real auction" where the items brought out are going to be sold at "auction prices.". read more

Love Dunn's Attic! I have been there twice and plan on going back to look around this afternoon! I enjoy seeing the layout of the "rooms". Both times that I have been there I was greeted warmly, asked where I was from, and felt comfortable looking all around! I do hope to go to an Auction soon - to support the Dunn Family and enjoy the camaraderie of the evening! Love their color scheme of shirts/signage!!! Place is way to crammed full of overpriced stuff. Can not even see anything, a lot of junk stuffed in, auctions are a joke now they do not even have then they were so bad, food is also BSD, several of us go it sick from chicken salad, over charged, and found mold on several wood item plus several pictures. That is a hazard. Would never go again, too many nice stores and fun REAL auction house in Delasnd to go to. This is not what they claim, And they are not the only auction house in town, that is really stretching it. Dishonest it sounds, like the pricing and auctions seemed to be and I see several others posting the same thing. Not a good place. read more

We were visiting family and came across a brochure in the lobby of our Hotel. What a pleasant surprise! We weren't there for an auction but browsing the show room full of consignment items was a walk back into history. I had to buy several items that were calling my name. Prices are very fair and items are in good condition. The staff are wonderful and helpful. I will be returning there the next time I am visiting in the area. Check it out. I cannot express my disappointment in what I had hoped would be a asset to the local antiques and collecting community. The "Country Style" uncatalogued auction held last Saturday had a (approximate) buyin rate of over 40% for what the house said was an unreserved auction. Really??. The goods offered should have all been sold, or at least offered. i.e., the first lot, a H. Newton signed "Highwayman" painting was brought out, the auctioneer tried to get an opening bid of 2K, no bidders (not suprising), lowered the requested opening bid to $1800. No bidders. The painting was passed within 45 seconds without the auctioneer soliciting another bid. Not exactly a country auction practice. If the "house" determined that the items had "a high value", it was only offered at what the "house" thought was an appropriate price. This was repeated through the first 96 lots, after which this attendee could no longer endure this disrespect to the crowd and auctions in general. I left realizing that I will have to continue to travel beyond the Daytona area to find a reputable auction house at which to buy and sell. SO SAD, SO SAD. read more
