The communication throughout was great, and they took their time explaining the process and the why behind all the steps they would take. Harrison and the team took fantastic care of our home during the repair and install day. Covering the floor with paper, cleaning up (including mopping) their way out, and thorough documentation of their work. Highly recommend Dr. Energy Savers for any insulation project

I'm seeing what a waste of money it was now because our house is still leaking heat, creating huge icicles all over and water damns that are leaking through the walls, the we're still the first on the street to have all the snow melted off our roof. It's exactly what I was seeing last year that led me to hire them. I feel like we were hoodwinked.

The installers built 2 inch foam boxes to cover each can light, and were very efficient to get our attic and great room covered with the energy barrier. He went out of his way and told me things an hvac company did not tell me (plus they wanted me to spend about $7k). I highly recommend him for at least an inspection if you need it.

Julian, Tre and Mike were prompt, professional, cordial, communicative and efficient. They sealed up all the air leakage points in our attic, rerouted our bath fan vents for efficiency, improved our soffit baffles and raised our blown in insulation from R9 to R60. Our house is two degrees cooler already. They even found and fixed a gap in a flexible air duct we could not find that had been allowing birds to get into our ducts. They took before and after pics and sent them to us for our files, covered everything and left our house with no mess whatsoever.

I have an older ~1910 home, and we have had some serious challenges keeping the 3rd floor properly…read moreheated and cooled. Our third floor had been finished but not insulated, resulting in some very steep energy bills in the summer and winter, not to mention many sweaty/frigid days. Lewis was very patient with me as I explored my options, made some very helpful recommendations for other projects around the house, and provided the most reasonable price. He provided plenty of details about what his team would do without being overwhelming, and answered all questions I had. The team was in and out in less than a day, with very minimal modifications made (just a few access holes cut out), and were very professional in their work. Just with adding insulation on the 3rd floor, the entire house feels much more regulated temperature-wise, and I'm sure the energy bills will reflect the upgrades very soon. I will certainly be reaching out to them again for future insulation and energy-saving projects.

The first time they came out, their truck broke down and leaked oil all over the place, and they…read moredid not finish. So someone else came out a couple of days later, didn't have a truck, so they had to plug into the 30 amp plug for my AC. Two months later,, my AC wasn't working because someone pushed the outside unit away from the house, breaking the coolant pipe. It is possible they didn't break it, but nobody else worked around that. Next year I installed a sensor light by the back door, and found zero insulation in that section. So, I randomly walked around my house drilling 1 inch holes in walls(around 8), in which half had no insulation. I called them to fill those voids, and they sent out a crew. The crew showed up on the wrong day. The lead seemed angry, but filled in the 4 empty sections. Oh yeah, he refused to use the plug by the AC (I wonder why) and shoved the plug into the socket for my stove so hard it pulled the box out of the wall. They did not put the siding back they'd pulled away to fill the wall space. I added an outlet to the front of the house and found that section had no insulation. I remodeled my bathroom and found 2 out of 4 sections had no insulation. I didn't bother asking them to fix it because of the previous bad experiences. I feel like it was a total waste of money and warn homeowners to follow the installers around to make sure you don't get scammed.

I got a quote from them in 2019. My granddaughter was diagnosed with cancer shortly after this,…read morethen Covid hit so insulation priorities weren't so important. I finally requested a new quote this spring. The exact same job I was quoted in 2019 was almost 3X higher! That's 3X in six years! Original quote was $1800 in Feb 2019, new quote was $5300 for the exact same thing. So I did some research to see if I was over reacting. I reached out to ChatGPT to see if labor and material costs had increased enough to justify the new price. It said no way! No, the $5,300 quote is not fair. If: The scope hasn't changed The spray foam type and thickness are the same They never came out to remeasure The original 2019 quote was $1,800 Then jumping to $5,300 (an almost 300% increase of the original cost) is well beyond reasonable, even accounting for: 45% material increases 20-30% labor cost hikes Higher fuel and insurance costs What Would Be Fair? Using the 2019 price as a base: Factor Estimate Increase Adjusted Price Materials (open-cell) ~45% ~$2,610 Labor/overhead/fuel/etc. ~30% ~$3,400 max A reasonable 2025 price: $2,800-$3,400 Not $5,300. So I checked Gemini and Grok AI engines to make sure I covered all bases. They confirmed that the the price increase was unjustified. Grok said: The nearly 300% increase exceeds general inflation (~20-30% from 2019-2025) and construction cost trends (~40-50% per Turner Building Cost Index). Insulation-specific increases (50-100%) suggest a $1,800 job in 2019 should cost $2,700-$3,600 in 2025. Gemini said: a near 300% increase (from $1,800 to $5,300) in 6 years is at the very high end of what might be considered justifiable given the market conditions. Increases of 50-100% (or even up to 150%) for some materials and services over that period have been seen, but 300% is extreme. Given the ridiculous price increase, I would be very leery of using them based on their pricing model.
