The menu is decent, but definitely different than in the US. I chose the Seven Layer Burrito and ordered it without sour cream. So maybe I made it a Six Layer Burrito. I got it with Mountain Dew (of course). The cashier asked me if I wanted my food with nachos or fries and I had to choose fries because WHAT COULD THAT BE? It turns out, the seasoned fries from Taco Bell NL are delicious. This visit fulfilled my craving for Taco Bell. It wasn't a regular Taco Bell trip but it was still really nice and quite satisfying.

Taco Bell is exactly what I remember -- in fact, it's tastes like the best memories I have of the Bell. Like every other fast food restaurant, a side of sauce is extra, but there are three levels of heat for all meats, so I presume the mild, hot and fire sauces are already in the food. Still - fast service and good food, for less cost than the crummy Taco Mundo knockoff. We had the Nachos Supreme, a Stuft chicken burrito and a crunchwrap. While the chicken was perfectly fine, we both loved the beef nachos and crunchwrap. No steak on the menu, but carnitas - which I think would suit the stuft burrito better. The place has 2 floors of seating, a couple little couch areas and a table up front with plugs, like at schiphol, so you can plug in your laptop and get work done. Hopefully they can expand to outdoor seating. I'll be very happy indeed when they expand to the Randstad.

No complaints though - it's next to the street so I appreciate the privacy as I'm eating. The price for chicken with rice noodles was €6.95 and for chicken with a wrap was €4.25, but both had the same amount of protein so I was pleasantly surprised. If you're craving some Westernized-Chinese, I recommend this place. And if you're not super hungry, I definitely recommend the wrap. Much cheaper, tastes just as good, the only thing is you pick three veggies instead of five. Pros: - Food came quick. It took longer for me to decide what veggies I wanted. - There was a looooot of food for the price. - They have a full English menu. - The servers were patient as we decided on what to order. They even brought the food out to us. - Bathroom is clean. I knocked a star down for the taste, but honestly at this price point it was acceptable. All in all, I'm happy we stopped in here. P.S. If you're having trouble deciding what to order, I wrote down what we got in the photo's descriptions.

There is something ironic about a "fry tent" showing the 24 Kitchen cooking channel on its tv, but…read morethis place embraces that irony. They have won something called the Frietopia award from 2009-2014. No word on what happened in 2015. The fries are really rich and fatty, and have a subtle potato flavor. The croquettes and chicken sticks are extra crispy, and a little longer than the average croquette format. The vanilla milkshake tasted very artificial, it was very sad. They have a limit of 6 small fries per person, so that the line doesn't move any slower than it already does, so keep that in mind if you're ordering for a large group. The line at the counter was crazy. We waited 45 minutes before we could order and another 10-15 minutes for our food at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. I don't think it's worth it just for the fries, but clearly many other people disagree with me, otherwise there wouldn't be such a crowd. The wait was sort of gezellig, with people of all types cramming into the small shop. Some of the older women in line got all judgey at me for having a 2 year old in this establishment, but I guess that's just an old fashioned Dutch mentality. Like I said, you'll see all kinds here.

And down in the South of the Netherlands, we really know our fries. This place is my dirty little secret. So you'd better be grateful I'm letting on! It's not something you'd probably find on your own, it being such a hole-in-the-wall but I promise you, you will not find better fries. This, my friends, is one of the top 3 (!) frieshops in the Netherlands. How do I know? Duh, because we have the National Fries Test, of course. (Yes, we're a funny lot, but we know our priorities). This place has been serving me since I was knee high to a grasshopper, I believe the saying is, and it will serve me until I die. A Dutchie without patat is a dangerous thing indeed. Pop by here on a weekday, between regular meal-hours or you'll find all the locals lining up around the block (I wish I were kidding) for a pointy bag of fries. I once stood in the freezing cold, a thick 2 inches of snow, for 45 minutes just to get my hand on some fries. Believe me, I'd do it again. Probably will actually come December. Those golden brown and crispy thickly cut fries, with proper mayonnaise on them. Oooh there's just nothing that beats it! Right, when you're in town, and in need of some proper fries (with mayo please) this is the spot!
