Unprofessional poor care from door entry to leaving at the Great Falls Clinic Emergency…read more Department. I was the only one in the ED at 0400 in the waiting room, vomiting post chemotherapy, no one to my aid, I waited 30 minutes to be called back to a room. The nurse care was kind, but exceedingly slow, and severely lacked efficient professionalism. It required 3 nurses 2.5 hours to obtain an IV site. Unacceptable! My ED doctor completely dismissed my symptoms even with each medication given and simply said he could not give me the relief from my nausea. I repeatedly asked for my EKG results and the nurses said it must be fine or the doctor would say something. I only received 1 of 2 bags of the IV fluids. I was asked to give a urine sample but was unable due to dehydration, left uncollected. The ED doctor dismissed me home of my unrelieved symptoms and ultimately informed my oncologist I was discharged home. I only received 1 of 2 bags of IV Saline. I was not relieved of my nausea symptoms, not given proper care In light of my distress, and developed diarrhea while in the ED. I was never given results of my EKG despite multiple requests. I was discharged and when my and when my ride came to pick me up, the nurse answered my call light with delay and pointed to the door. What happen to giving your patient a ride in the wheel chair to your car for safety? My ED visit was ABSOLUTELY Unaceptable! I ultimately went to my oncologist within 2 hours and received STELLAR CARE! I was treated in her office with more IV fluids and IV medications for nausea/vomiting and an arsenal of others for home. She followed up on the EKG and high blood pressure and abnormal EKG and consulted with the cardiologist. I received another EKG, which was then found to be normal. This was an ultimate fail and I will never go back to the Great Falls Clinic for emergency care again! I am greatly concerned for the care that will and is provided to our community.

Totally bottom of the barrel medical providers. They spent multimillions on a beautiful east campus…read morebut should've spent the same amount retraining their staff. If your loved one needs urgent mental healthcare, don't send them to Benefis. No wonder so many people are addicted and having breakdowns in Great Falls. Their ER and mental health team run a factory farm, get them in there and get them out of there as efficiently as possible. Next. That is if they even allow an evaluation of an individual suffering from a crises. Its symptomatic about the hypocritical hatred of people who have a psychological disorder. That subconscious bias equates to neglect. Especially of the undiagnosed. Other issues is nurses have left gravely ill patients alone in their hospital rooms for extended amounts of time, risking the lives of patients. Some doctors here have been pompous. Be careful, the ER doctor might insinuate you are a hypochondriac even though you have a lifelong immune disorder, and that bad cold happens to be meningitis that you could've died from. Inadequate care has been a longterm problem spanning decades, and even goes back to when the hospital used to be the Deaconess. Great Falls just doesn't attract the best medical talent, except cancer care. The cancer center is top notch and deserves a star, because they will help a loved one stricken with cancer using the latest technologies. A second star goes out to their Native American welcoming center, so they did their cultural sensitivity homework. Both Benefis East and West have nice views of the city and countryside. But if you need the best medical care, Providence and even Community hospital in Missoula are my recommendations. Good luck driving the three hours to Zootown.

I was at the Great Falls hospital. The review shows me as somewhere in CA. UGH…read more I had two heart procedures. One in February and one in March, 2020. My hospital room after the procedures was not sanitized and with the Coronavirus, I do not understand why not. The floors were DIRTY and the room itself looked as if it had not been cleaned in several days. My first visit, the staff was great. My second visit, totally different staff and NOT to great! They talked in the hallway and kept me awake. I was in a room that was a short distance from their "gathering place" and it was very annoying! If I had any other choice, it would not be this hospital! The staff was nice but incompetent. They failed to follow my doctor's orders after the procedure in some of my post operative care. SHAME ON YOU ALL...the floor was not that busy and you all acted like a bunch of lazy asses!
