My husband and I have been receiving physical and occupational therapy at NPR for several months,…read moreand the experience has been exceptional. I began treatment for mobility issues, and my husband--who has Parkinson's disease--started occupational therapy shortly after. We've worked with Will M. and Izzy S. for physical therapy, and Andrea P. for occupational therapy. All three therapists are truly outstanding--skilled, compassionate, and deeply attentive to our individual needs. They tailor each session with the perfect balance of challenge and encouragement, which has made a real difference in our progress. Thanks to their expert care, both of us have seen significant improvements. If you're looking for personalized, effective physical or occupational therapy, I wholeheartedly recommend NPR. p.s. The front desk staff are great. They're very accommodating on scheduling and always welcome us by name when arriving and departing.

I have a couple of major abdominal surgeries with few months apart which lead my core muscles to…read morebecome weaker and disconnected. After that, I could barely feel my lower abdomen. Until I met Shweta Girdhar, the Pelvic Therapist, at Northville Rehab who helped me regain the connection with my pelvic floor, lower abdominal, and core muscles. Until then I never realized that the pelvic floor plays a key role in our body and that with proper guidance & training, we can have a healthy core & body. With recovery and joy, I want to write this review so other people who are in my situation regain their core back. I highly recommend getting treated by Northville pelvic floor physical therapist Shweta Girdhar for the below reasons: 1. The personal interest and the special care she provides in healing are beyond my expectations. She targets treating patients at the core level and not at the surface level. 2. The knowledge she possesses and explain's how muscles work, how to feel them, what to avoid, and how to strengthen and train them is definitely an advantage for the patient. 3. Healing the Patient's condition is the top priority for her than making money as she is passionate about her profession in treating patients. 4. She constantly gauge's the improvements you noticed after the treatment. Then take this seriously and make changes in the treatment and improvements if needed. 5. She keeps up to date with the latest breakthroughs in the Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy field and tries to bring innovative techniques and equipment to help heal the patients.

I just wanted to give some love to the physical therapy clinic here. I have seen them previously…read moreand am back again due to chronic issues, and both times, they have been so amazing and friendly and validating (and also great around me being a fat, queer, nonbinary person). Particular shout out to the team of Mike Houze, Tom, and Sara, who have and continue to take great care of me both on land and in the pool with Tom. As someone who has had over a dozen surgeries, and had physical therapy for over two decades in four states, this has been by far my more affirming and supportive experience. Would highly recommend in a heartbeat!

A few months ago my mom had foot surgery to repair a break in her heel. About 3 weeks ago she was…read morefinally given the all-clear to start weight bearing and physical therapy. We had heard good things about Medsport so she decided to start going there. It was definitely the right call. They've been great to her! I stopped in yesterday during one of her appointments and observed the exercises they were doing with her and I was really impressed. You could tell they were really working on strengthening not just her foot but the whole leg which had been underutilized since she's been off that side since August. The physical therapists were warm and encouraging. They pushed her without being overly agressive. After some stretches and exercises they also took some time to manipulate and massage her foot to really work the muscles deeply. The facility is clean and spacious. When I was there there weren't a ton of patients so it wasn't crowded or overwhelming. The machines very from stuff you'll see at your local gym to some state of the art equipment. They also offer aquatherapy which allows the patient to do work without a lot of the pressure on the injuries that normal workouts might put on them. I've been really impressed with how fast my mom's gotten back on her feet. She's already walking without crutches around the house. A lot of it is her own determination to get back to normal by diligently working on her exercises at home but I also have to credit MedSport for their fantastic work as well. I have back problems and I'm already planning on asking my doctor for a referral to go do some PT there as well.
