They said I could use it towards a future class. I have spent the past 2 years rehabbing my arm and finally have it to a place where I could take the course, yet I've tried reaching out to them multiple times to get something set up or even use my credit for a short defense lesson, and have received zero response! It's clear they are only interested in your money, not the attendees, and will take it anyway they can get it.

First, for me, is that training is FUN. KMGL is deadly serious about teaching the skills necessary to defend yourself and others, no doubt. But the sense of community, support and acceptance is unbelievable. I have attended every class they offer and I have NEVER felt intimidated by any of the members or staff. They push me and they correct me, but it is in the spirit of helping me get to the very best I can be. I am 48 years old and in the best condition of my life. But at it's heart, Krav Maga is all about defending yourself and getting home safe. There is no fluff and no coddling. If you want 'it', every member and coach will bend over backwards to help you get 'it'. Real life example: just last night a new member participated in a special fitness challenge. This lady is a school teacher with two kids. Two weeks ago it took her 30 minutes to complete 20 burpees. Last night she did 146 in one hour! She never quit and never lost her positive attitude. And every person in the gym was beaming with pride right along with her. And you know what she said at the end? "I am so proud of myself, I have goosebumps! I never thought I could do that. They have monthly challenges that everyone works on as a team it really is like a community of coaches and people trying to get stronger, healthier, and just better. I've tried all the fad diets just to gain it all back and feel defeated. I only kick myself for waiting so long to dive in. In my opinion, their cardio is great and the weight machines, which were updated last year, are also very good. I like the quiet, non-assuming atmosphere. For the most part, patrons keep to themselves and that is fine. The gym is basically clean and they provide wipes to clean the machines after using them. I like that. The reason for the lower rating is that for all the years I have been a member, there are but a handful of, actual, friendly staff members. A few great ones that go back a long way, but for the most part, the staff is not welcoming or at all personable. So, do not join for the customer service, just come for the good equipment and cleanliness. And one big thing is that during the summer, the ac is never adequate! Adding ceiling fans would be a welcome addition to the workout facility!
