When it's hot outside, what better thing to do than get ice cream?! San Carlos is hot and humid. Thrifty ice cream is considered a better quality ice cream here so everybody was parked outside waiting for them to open! I just got a scoop of pistachio. 38 pesos or about $2 a scoop. Felt like being a gringo today lol. Their ice cream is always classic and good regardless of what flavor you choose. Cheers! read more

What a great place. Wonderful ice cream and service. Sit in or out. Bring the kids as there is a playground which is very tough to find in San Carlos. A great place to meet new friends or old. read more
