I miss when they did $1 clearance tags and hate that the store is constantly being shifted around (please bring back the plus size section!!) but the deals are good. I go on Mondays since I'm a healthcare worker, Wednesdays when it's 50% off most tags for everyone, and on Thursdays since I'm a student. Tuesday there is a discount for seniors. I've found lululemon and other brand name clothes, home decor, and kitchen items here.

Of particular note are the baby items; lots of baby clothes, crib sheets, blankets, and toys. Great place to shop for your little ones or grand-littles! housewares along one wall are generally well-priced. Lots of casserole dishes and pots and pans, but lids are few and far between. Once I was looking for a very distinctive lid to go with a hard to find vintage cookware set I was getting, and I was told that due to the difficulty of matching lids with the correct pots or casseroles, and the impossibility of keeping them together, since customers rearrange, that they routinely throw away lids. Oh My Goodness - I wish they'd put them in a lid bin or on a lid table! They often get some very nice pieces (some of which are on displays in the middle of the store). On half price day you can really luck out price-wise! They have a large selection of jewelry, not all jumbled together but neatly displayed in several large well lit glass cases. Once there were several rings that I looked high quality, but alas, I lacked a loupe or even the magnifying glass that I usually carry, and the prices, which would have been a steal if the rings had real stones and good metal, were too high to take a chance on them being junk. The other day I got several necklaces which were of course faux, but very nice looking costume jewelry. Good selection of purses and totes, neatly hung up, and lots of shoes and scarves too. In the back ocf the store there is a furniture section; tables, armoires, wooden chairs, AND quite a few couches and upholstered chairs. My family room couch and armchair came from there; clean, good brand, nice quality, possibly brand-new but perhaps gently used. The minute I spotted the couch and its very reasonable price I sat right down on it to check it out AND to claim it, and as I called home to check measurements and arrange pickup, at least another half-dozen people walked up to ask if I was getting it and walked away in disappointment when I said "yes". I did, it fit perfectly, and we are very happy. Most of the staff are very friendly and pleasant, particularly Nancy the cashier, who has been there for years. One woman at a supervisory or managerial level is somewhat of a crab, and speaks harshly to the other staff AND sometimes customers. The rest room and changing table could use some sprucing up and more frequent cleaning. Otherwise, one of my favorite places!

Why have two people standing at the counter for an hour while no one comes in? The man at the counter was very kind and was moving as fast as he could, considering he was using a system that seemed to be very slow. He was very friendly and patient when he spoke to everyone. I found this post office to be very cute and comfortable. There's lots of space in the lobby and there's a selection of envelopes and boxes as well.

This really hurt me. I felt like they did not get to know me as a person and see what a hard worker I was. They even said maybe I would be written up because of this. Workers should not be treated this way. I don't know if the Capital Home Care branch of UCP even exists anymore but if it does then the supervisors need to get to know the workers better and explain to elderly clients that they need to be clear and direct with the home health care workers.

There is so many Cons Costly benefits, lack of training, poor management, too much gossip and drama, to much internal redundant paperwork, Management has favorites, plays mind games. You try to contact appropriate people on the blue business cards but nothing happens, all the higher ups / upper management dont want to be bothered, your concerns are completely ignored . If you seek to report something then be ready for intimidation and retaliation. Alot of things are supposed to be confidential but some how the information that is supposed to be confidential is some how shared with others. For example, your wages you earn are shared. Your disabilities are shared. Your work related accident with your injuries are shared. The last time anyone has checked, that falls under the category of HIPAA. So needless to say, people start rumors and judge you. Then you are asked /told and demanded to resign your position if you can't handle the stress from everything above, including being in pain from your ongoing work related injuries and the medications that you are on that makes you so tired. Then when you reach out to the CEO and HR about finding another position that you qualify for in the company ,because you resigned just your current position by force / demanded. CEO and HR says we will get back to you with some options . 2 days later they say that they accept your "Voluntary" resignation and they have nothing else to offer you. Wow, when I heard about this, I was flabbergasted. Why would a reputable company that deals with individuals with disabilities do this to anyone? I guess its not that reputable , and obviously UCP should know of all people/companies that business should never be run like that. This employee should have never been put through that situation at all. It's not like the employee was causing trouble ever. They are messing with people's lives. That employee has a family . Pros Great Clients, non profit, DSP'S and Supervisors make up the company's backbones.
