I was one of Ethan's first customers. As the matter of fact when he gave me my original quote, I…read moretold him I needed to pay him more for his efforts. Well, fast forward 3 years and countless referrals....They get a large job and Ethan wants to charge me 7 times my normal rate. I objected and asked for my old rates for 2 reasons. 1. It was just plain unfair 2. I couldn't afford to pay the HUGE increase. And then all heck broke loose. He brought down all of my sites because he handled the hosting (with Godaddy but charged 2 times their rate), hid my files inside in sub files (3 programmers couldn't find them) and gave me 3 days to pay him or he would erase my files. Basically holding me hostage. So I had to play by his rules and his rules only, pay him 10 times what anyone else would charge to have my files transferred. When I objected he accused me of threatening him. He really caused my business great harm. A really wacky company in my opinion. Ethan may come off as nice but when you question him, things turn around in a hurry. If you plan to do business with them, make sure you are in possession of YOUR files because as soon as you tell him that you may have to take your business elsewhere, things could get ugly fast.

I connected with World Zoo thinking I would get the best web design work possible. So I tested…read moretheir work by having them create a splash page. I payed $1200 for a coming soon page. I also payed for the flash media and picture that was used for the page. An additional $300. I liked that this business responded fast but their work represented on their responses. I got a crapy template that you can download off google. I could draw something (literally) on the coming soon page. They said they took 10 hours to do when really when I showed other graphic and web designers they said it took 2 hours. I felt like I was ripped off and realize why you have to pay with a check. Because they will not refund your money. I wish I could show you guys what I payed for $1500 vs $500... Oh and the company owner said that they usually get 3k to 10 k.. Really? For a Splash cover page? Not even XS nightclub in Vegas pays this much per page. I expected the best and got the worst... They have great work but make sure that they know you know what they are doing. Total loss!!!

I met with Tony & Omar to go over the scope of work to build 2 sites - one for my business and one for my husbands. Now that my site is up and running I have complete access and control but they are close by to quickly address any issues and have been very easy to work with and responsive to all my needs. I had never thought about what paying for a professional website would be like; I quickly learned it can be outrageous. I talked to several people who were charging me upwards of 4 thousand dollars, I couldn't believe it, but I had no frame of reference. Looking through Craigslist I came across Kingdom Webdesign. I gave them a call and spoke with Ariel, he runs the company I think. He was really great at explaining to me the types of things I might want in a website and why they would be helpful while still listening to what I wanted. He was able to meet at times that were convenient to me, his prices were so much more reasonable, and he had my page up and running really quickly. The best part was that he gave me a tutorial and showed me how I can upkeep my own page if things change in the future. He was super clear and I have never had such an easy time understanding anything tech related. I am extremely happy with the work he did for me and appreciate how pleasant he has been to work with. I have already recommended him to other people.

I have not seen any changes to my web site at all. Since then, I have not been able to get a commitment from Jason or his team. Jason has sent me messages saying he was out of town, medical emergencies, etc which I can totally understand and was willing to wait for him. I had called his office and Tom had responded to look into it, but I have now been ignored by Tom as well. As of 2/1/2024 (one year later!!), I have sent an email to Jason and Tom to just close the project. They can refund me some portion of my 100% paid job, but they have not responded. I have changed the password to my web hosting as a precaution. I am willing to call this a loss and mark it as a lesson learned working with design companies.
