Loved that Three Tree Coffee was right next to our hotel in Statesboro. I had to visit as soon as we checked in and dropped off our bags. Simply Done Donuts in Duluth, GA proudly serves Three Tree Coffee, and I've had it a handful of times from there and really enjoyed it. They have a great mission: empower their farmers, end human trafficking, and engage the community. The coffee shop is really big. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I think they even have second floor seating, but I didn't explore. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I ordered an iced oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon, pimento cheese sandwich, and GATA (an ode to Georgia Southern University), their housemade energy bar. The latte was smooth as always. The pimento cheese was a delicious savory treat. I wanted to eat the entire sandwich, but had to stop myself since we were having dinner soon. I saved the GATA for the next day, which was the perfect on-the-go snack! I recommend checking out Three Tree Coffee if you're ever in Statesboro! read more

I was in Statesborough for a few days, and this was close to my hotel. It's a really friendly place where people seem to enjoy working there (which is rare these days)! Also their coffee is good - I got cortado and cappuccino. Their espresso roast is not too dark or acidic. I liked my cappuccino more with an extra shot. Nice amount of tables inside and outside. They have kolatches, muffins, and breakfast (biscuit bowls and other egg, sausage, biscuit options), but I didn't try them. Breakfast dishes looked good! read more

I'll start with the good the coffee I did receive was great as was the food however I went with my sister and she ordered a black coffee and a chocolate muffin. She was asked 3-4 questions about if she wanted flavor, cream, sugar etc. yet somehow her drink wasn't rang up? The owners KNOW coffee and go to great lengths, and travely widely to discover these most-special beans. They also serve a wide variety of special teas from the world's best tea-producing areas. Hands down best fresh coffee I've had in my short life! By chance I had a sample of the blended caramel vanilla latte at the state fair and was 100% wooed, I had to find the hard site of where that deliciousness came from. From the outside of the building you can't tell it's a two story loft style coffee house, with a nice outside patio section as well! The staff was patient and explained the different coffees to me which I loved. Great way to start our day! Arrived to easily accessible plentiful parking followed by a no nonsense clean coffee shop. We were greeted by a bright smile greeting from the cashier. For a small city out in the country, Statesboro is fortunate to have a cafe as sophisticated as Three Tree Coffee Roasters in town. I'm no coffee connoisseur, but it doesn't take one to recognize this place is legit. Three Tree got its name from its three mission objectives: 1. Empowering farmers through the sale of fair trade coffee and other means. 2. Ending human trafficking through partnerships with organizations bringing awareness and raising funds. 3. Engaging the community by donating to local non-profits and operating this coffee shop just south of downtown Statesboro. The drink menu is simple and affordable with no espresso or coffee-based drink costing more than $3.99 each. It's less expensive and higher quality than Starbucks. Drinks come in two sizes: 12 oz and 16 oz. The coffees are single-origin, specialty, and gourmet. In addition to prepared drinks at the cafe, you can also buy or order bags in various grinds (whole bean or ground for a coffee pot, French press, or manual drip) to take home. Their roasts run from light to dark and hail from countries such as Burundi, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Peru (decaf). Along with this cafe, you can find Three Tree Coffee at the Statesboro Main Street Farmers Market, Food World, and online at their website: https://threetreecoffee.com/. I love pecan pie and lattes so this seemed like a pretty magical combination (and it was). It tasted exactly how it sounds -- sweet and nutty pecan pie with a hint of cinnamon and maple-flavored syrup. The drink was so good; smooth, somewhat rich, creamy, and a little bit fluffy. If you like pecan pie, I recommend it. I also tried an iced cold brew coffee made with Irish cream and soy milk ($3). It was also really good; nice and smooth and not acidic. My girlfriend, who is a Statesboro native and appreciates good coffee, thinks that a lot of coffee roasters' small batch coffee is too acidic these days, but not this one. The space where Three Tree currently resides used to be a cafe/diner called Mr. Omelette. Before that, it was Midtown Coffee House. The space is naturally well lit and in good condition. It's popular with students who like to bring their books and laptops to study. There's a breezy, partially covered patio and a cute upstairs area called the "treehouse." The treehouse accommodates 20-30 people and can be rented out for small events for $30/hour. Service is terrific. The baristas are cool and friendly. If you're ever in Statesboro, this cafe is not to be missed. read more

Amazing coffee! I've tried just about every drink in the book here, and I've never been disappointed! The seasonal drinks are always a hit! Customer service is a 12/10, Megan is exceptionally sweet, along with the other staff members, they take care of you and make the cutest latte art! The atmosphere is really nice, it's a good place for college students, I study there all the time. It's neither too quiet nor too loud, and there's an outdoor area for some fresh air. Love! Move over Starbucks, this our new fave! While driving around we just spontaneously popped in and gave the place a try. And let me say, we were very pleasantly surprised! What a neat little place! It's unpretentious with a chill vibe. My son and I ordered iced vanilla coffees that were simply amazing! Something was different.. the coffee just had an unexplained amazingly unique taste. My husband ordered a hot chai latte or something like that. It smelled delicious! Really nice to find a third wave coffee shop in Statesboro, Georgia. Surprised it's the only one in a college town but very glad it's there. While I love lattes, they use bought syrups which I avoid. The pour over is the only coffee you need here. I had the Ethiopian and it was superb. I'm not sure who made it; a tall guy with a beard, but he made it perfect. I also got a cranberry muffin which was really nice and they will warm it up for you. The service has been very good every time I visited which was about 3 times; I wish it was more. They have plenty of seating, outdoor patio, inside fireplace, and a separate room if you want to work or study. Loved it. Pour over was PERFECT. read more

After about almost a year of wanting to come here I finally made it after seeing them at the Statesboro fair. Can I just say wonderful? Their coffee tastes fantastic not overly sweet not under sweet really just that perfect mix. The service is fantastic even when there's a line you get seen very quickly. It's nice because the barista's like to do foam art. Some are definitely better than others but it's still cool regardless. If you check in on yelp you get 10% off your order which is super awesome. They don't offer a military discount which I suppose makes sense because they aren't by the military base. Espresso is sweet like their gluten-free treats, and the staff is amazing! After my first trip here, I knew I would be an instant regular. They will make your coffee any which way brewed you like, and they have so many syrup flavors to choose from. I typically get a latte. My choice syrups are vanilla, coconut, and hazelnut (though not all at the same time). They also have a honey lavender that is light on the lavender, and I think it tastes more like a toasted marshmallow in a latte. Aside from the stellar espresso drinks and coffee selection, the point that keeps me coming back is their range of gluten-free options. If you look in the case for an * you'll find that several of their in-house made bakery items are gluten-free. Speaking as someone who used to eat gluten, I'll address the skeptics out there: their GF muffins are. amaz. ing. So moist and flavorful! My favorites are the lemon blueberry and carrot cake. They also have a GF-friendly light lunch menu and brunch menu on Saturdays. Atmosphere is chill with quieter seats upstairs, many by the windows downstairs, and a dog-friendly patio with several tables. Next time: I'm trying some coconut milk in my latte. read more

Okay, so all the people I work with told me that this was the best coffee shop and study spot in Statesboro. I finally gave it a try and realized I really have been missing out. I went after work one afternoon and got a vanilla latte. It was delicious!!! I've also had a regular Honduras coffee and it was so smooth and the flavor was unmatched. You'll never want to go to one of those franchise chains after you've had a sip! If you're unsure of what to get, ask one of the baristas. They're all nice and more than willing to offer suggestions! I bragged about this coffee so much, one of my friends I work with gave me a bag of their coffee as a gift before my time in Statesboro was over. Go upstairs to relax on one of their comfy couches with a lemon blueberry muffin (they're delicious!), great book, and an even better cup of coffee! read more

A fun, local coffee shop. The atmosphere is very cozy and makes the perfect place to meet for a chat with an old friend or place to have a chill study session. The coffee is always great and the staff are always happy to recommend if you aren't sure what you want. The selection of seasonal drinks are a plus. They also have a great selection of kolache (my favorite is the sausage), sandwiches, and sweet treats. Not to mention their brunch on the weekends. I was a Hurricane Florence refugee who had to continue working remotely during my stay in Statesboro. Three Tree is about a half mile from our hotel which did not have good Wifi, so I gave Three Tree a shot as a "remote office." I was here from 8 AM - 1 PM for 2 days. The staff both days were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and at no time was I ever rushed, pestered or otherwise made to feel like I was overstaying my welcome. I ordered items every so often which of course helps, but I've been in places where they treated you badly if you stayed too long even if you continued buying. Three Tree did not do that and they were very nice and accommodating. Wifi quality was very good. I only had a couple of periods of intermittent outage but by and large I was able to work the whole time. The food was excellent. I had the Caprese Kolache pastry and a chocolate chip cookie, and my wife had 2 muffins which she loved. I also had their house specialty smoothie called the "Gata Bug" which has cocoa beans, spinach, cinnamon and dates and it was very satisfying. No coffee shop review is complete without talking about the coffee. We tried the Guatemala and house blends and were very pleased with both. As a thank you to Three Tree for letting a refugee camp out I also bought a bag of their medium roast whole beans. Haven't tried them yet but they smell great in the bag. The patio is dog friendly and my 20-month old son had fun running around; he also enjoyed his fruit smoothie. Half the patio is covered and there was a nice breeze the whole time. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is the patio faces east and the morning sun was very bright, but I chose to sit outside and that's not a knock on the cafe. They have plenty of spacious indoor seating. Three Tree made a stressful situation much more tolerable for me. I can't thank them enough and I wish them many years of success serving the Georgia Southern and Statesboro communities! read more

Everything was fresh and service was good 2 out of 3 times I went. Prices are also very reasonable compared to Tampa Bay.
