don't usually review gift shops, but Native to Twilight Gift Shop really stood out…read more Forks is such a small, community-driven town, and you can feel that the moment you walk in. The staff was incredibly welcoming and open--one of the women working there took the time to chat with us, recommend places to eat, nature spots to check out, and even pointed out cool bugs to look for (which honestly made the whole experience feel very local in the best way). I ended up having such a great conversation with her--just genuinely kind and sweet energy. Also, if you're a magnet person... this place is dangerous. They have a really great selection--not just Twilight-themed, but also Port Angeles, La Push, Lake Crescent, and the surrounding areas. My family spent way too long deciding. It's one of those spots that feels less like a tourist stop and more like a reflection of the town itself. Definitely worth popping into while you're in Forks.

The clothing assortment is plentiful and featured a lot of great options for Twilight fans, Sasquatch enthusiasts, and for people just passing through for the nature. The only drinks they had was one flavor of a sports drink. No supplies of any kind, either, so don't think you'll stop here to grab something you would need camping. The store is 99% clothes and shoes, nothing in a big/tall size, with some trinkets at the register. The woman working the register seemed to struggle to ring us up (friend grabbed that beverage as he was super thirsty), telling us that the internet is really spotty out there. Parking lot was full of pot holes.

The clients were happy as they picked them up and walked away, not even checking to make sure they were palatable, suggesting that they totally trusted the baristas to make something delicious! I was too chicken, and just ordered a triple espresso macchiato, lol - which was pretty good! Volume wasn't too much, and the amount of foam was perfect. Husband ordered a big ol' black coffee - also tasty . We looked into the market while we waited for our drinks. Looked well stocked and also read that they also had camping and backpacking gear? Husband jokingly wouldn't let me back here, I'd buy something we don't need lol. I'm stoked that we found this place for our morning coffee. Oh, and the employees were personable and quite competent at making espressos - seems obvious that they should be, but 90% of espresso places make horrible espressos!

I was so happy for Sunsets West because I had to make an emergency trip for emergency items such as diapers (I really thought I might be out of luck!), detergent, freezer bags, and eggs. They even have all of the ingredients to make homemade laundry soap, which I will make the next time I am up this direction. The Co-op is divided into two sections: The Market and The Eatery. They are part of the same building and are not separated on the inside. You simply walk past the grocery area into The Eatery and order breakfast or lunch. The coffee is wonderful! They have a medium roast or a dark roast. The dark roast is my favorite. The coffee is made in a French press--my favorite way to make coffee! During my coffee break my daughter drew pictures, Terry painted, and we all talked about art. Neither Jane or Terry minded that my children played their piano and actively encouraged both to play because "It's here to be used." After that day they remembered my children's names and would ask about them if they weren't in the co-op with me. My daughter had a great time during the visit and asked "When can we visit the nice people again?" My hope is to visit frequently this summer. I will be back with my husband next week. He can't wait to try their black beans and rice.
