There was a nice baby changing area as well and they had paper towels too! If you need to stretch your legs there's a great gift shop bringing you all things from Indiana and also check out the fun graphics/descriptions that line the walls, you'll learn more about Indiana than you imagined. The building itself is neat from the outside--it represents several major industries home to Indiana. Did you know the movie, The Christmas Story is based in a fictional town in Indiana?!?

Oh wow! This is a nice welcome center. I've started to enjoy visiting welcome centers because there…read moreis usually a lot of good information about the area that can be found at these types of places. This one is no exception! The Indiana Welcome Center is filled with friendly people who love nothing more than to help you. There are brochures, pamphlets and literature about the area available for you to pick up. This welcome center has local art exhibits inside, including one about A Christmas Story, a film that was set in nearby Hammond, Indiana. (Although, I think the film was actually filmed in Canada, but that's neither here nor there.) There's also a huge gift shop, with lots of souvenirs, snacks and toys available to purchase. I actually found a tote bag that I didn't know I desperately needed here, so my visit to the Indiana Welcome Center was especially blessed. The restrooms here are large and very clean. At the very least, this is a great place to stop and use the restroom. Before you leave, be sure to see the A Christmas Story statue outside the building. It's a statue of the kid who gets his tongue stuck on the pole. It's an Indiana classic.

After leaving a very unpleasant Holiday Inn in Wisconsin we decided to only drive 1/2 way home and…read morestay at this Inn. Much better experience. Told the gentleman about the previous hotel and how loud the elevator was. He kindly gave us the furthest room available. Only reason I could not give it a 5star. Bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. Never want to see someone else hair. Ick Service was very kind.

They had the option to pick that on the website! Checking in was a breeze. Early check in was also notified to us the day prior and on the drive there. My husband made a call to them asking if we can have two rooms connected and they were very accommodating. They didn't promise but they delivered. Customer service was very satisfactory. We not only were able to have connected rooms for our family, they placed us in a corner of the hotel away from other patrons. That was very thoughtful of them. Rooms were very roomy and clean. Beds were extra comfortable. Bathrooms were very nice. The double Queen room was bigger than our king size room. Free breakfast is served!! Wow I find that a total rarity these days. We didn't get to enjoy a free breakfast since we went to a nearby IHOP but next time we will. My kids LOVED the pool. Excellent size and there was a hot tub. The water temp for both was great! We were able to swim very late (10:00pm) and woke up early to swim again (8:00am). Overall it was a wonderful weekend stay. No hassles and very pleasant. I'm very pleased we picked this hotel rather than any other in Morris, Illinois. It makes me want to research and try Holiday Inn in other cities.

Decided to stay at the Towneplace Suites for a family visit with my brothers in Minooka. I had…read moreoriginally booked a studio but upgraded to the larger option of a 1 bedroom suite. Here's a quick rundown of the good and bad. The good was the checkin was quick and the desk agent friendly. Room was spacious and clean with lots of room. I particularly liked the kitchen with fridge and microwave. Bed was really comfy and nice. Loved the TV and selection of channels. Also, the hotel is walking distance to BP gas station with mini-mart (which comes in handy for soda, snacks and quick meals). Wendy's is also in walking distance, behind hotel. Now the bad ... the room itself smelled of mold. Mind you, this is a new hotel but it had a bad mold smell. I also spotted mold on the tissue box. Upon touching, it was wet. Was there a leak at some point? Finally, I seriously believe the hotel may be haunted. I've never written this in a review but am now. Throughout the night, my bedroom door mysteriously opened (even after closing to the sound of a "click"). I also heard the sounds of rattling chains and howls. These WERE NOT from dogs or other pets. I was in a corner suite with no neighbor. This hotel is located next to a well known haunted cemetery (it's behind the Dunk'n Donuts across the street from this property). I would stay here again but I'm not sure how excited I would be given the spookiness factor
