I showed Casey images of what I wanted and she came up with a mood board of things that incorporated my vision but also had her own professional ideas - and then a few months later, I totally changed what I wanted. Casey was so on board with this new vision (even though she had done work for the previous vision) which I really liked how open she was to changes and wanted me to be happy with the end result. So then she took those images and she showed me all that we could do and incorporate to make the event feel exactly how I wanted. My stage and truss and centerpieces were BEAUTIFUL. I was speechless, breathless, when I walked into the ballroom and so were my guests. It felt like we had left California and gone to the coast of Italy and it was amazing. I would have sat in this room forever if I could. I loved the input she gave and I asked her for recommendations on the tablsescape and she always was available to answer every single question that I had. I was having trouble finding a dance floor wrap, her team designed the image and she got it done. She was overall SO PLEASANT to work with, I loved her energy throughout the process, and she was one of my vendors that made me feel SO comfortable and stress free (which is so hard to feel during wedding planning). My dream wedding came to life because of Cat & Three Petal's team. We booked our reception at The Venue by Three Petals and at first we were hesitant to book with Cat since we know she is the queen of floral & it might get costly. We had a few quotes from other florist and to our surprised Three Petals pricing wasn't much more. When I went to see Cat she saw our vision and just in the way she explained what she would do made me trust her and know I was getting the best. Throughout our whole time planning we changed things and she worked with us. Every time we wanted to meet her she always made time. She answered her emails and texts on time too, which is a bonus because I swear some ppl just don't know how to do that lol. Three Petals is AMAZING! We first booked with Venue by Three Petals and a couple of months after and meeting with various florists we decided to go with Three Petals. We met with Cat and she understood my vision. I am no flower expert but I knew the kind of look I wanted and Cat surpassed all my expectations on the wedding day! Three Petals created all of our floral arrangements and decor for our wedding. My husband and I worked with Casey and she brought our wedding decor inspiration to life! We wanted a simple/elegant look with hints of gold and greenery for our wedding. We decided to use white roses for all of our floral arrangements and it was very beautiful. This review stems back to my experience with Three Petals 2 years ago when I was planning my wedding. A friend of mine had used them for a wedding and I can't say that I remembered alot about the flowers, but I do remember it being a lovely wedding. And truthfully, I didn't know where to start...so it just seemed like a good idea to make an appointment with Three Petals. I met with Fayth who was perfectly nice. I don't remember all the details, but I do know that we went over our venue, the look and feel I wanted, we went over her albums and she proposed a few ideas. While their stuff is most certainly pretty...I knew almost immediately that she didn't quite understand my aesthetic or what I was going for. I was looking for whimsical and rustic...and her suggestions were definitely a bit more on the grand scale and traditional side. But, her ideas weren't ugly by any means--just not me and just not representative of the Pinterest photos i showed her. But hey, it's a process, so no big deal. I gave her my budget and I told her I needed it to work for both wedding events (I was having a more traditional American wedding and Ceremony Saturday at the Carondelet House in DTLA and a traditional Vietnamese reception Sunday night). It's hard...but I told her that there was a little flexibility. She seemed to completely understand...and I left pretty optimistic. I get a quote relatively quick...and find that the quote was just outrageously high. I'm talking about more than DOUBLE what I told her our budget was. When I said a little flexible...i meant $500. I didn't mean double what I was able to afford. I was blown away. I would have preferred her reaching out to me to tell me simply it wasn't possible or figure out what to do...but truthfully, the quote nearly gave me a heart attack. In the end, she didn't reach out to me after sending the quote and i didn't respond to her email either. She was perfectly nice and pleasant...but I just felt that I didn't feel it was worth it. Our aesthetics were too different...and truthfully, if the quote is double what you can afford...can you even work your way down to something even remotely doable? read more

We had the pleasure of working with Catherine Chu of 3Petals who impressed us by how quickly she understood what my vision was for our wedding. She listened to me describe the ideas I had in mind, and only made recommendations whenever necessary (unlike some florist I talked to). And when it came to their pricing, we found that their prices were reasonable so we immediately booked our altar decor, floral sprays, boutonnieres, and corsages with them. Although their prices were reasonable, we kept thinking we can still save more money if we just make our own centerpieces and bridesmaids' bouquets. We were so indecisive, yet Cat managed to stay sweet and patient the entire time (even though I'm sure we were probably driving her nuts). She gave us a lot of time to figure out what was best for us with no pressure at all. In the end, we found out that we would only save a little, but also take more time and effort just to make them ourselves. So after going back and forth, we finally decided to have 3Petals take care of all our floral needs...and we're so happy we did! They did such a wonderful job that our guests kept telling us how beautiful all our floral arrangements looked, especially our centerpieces and bouquets...and to think we were considering making them ourselves! Absolutely beautiful and elegant! These gorgeous flowers made our daughter's outdoors wedding at RLL One of the kind! There are different types of white roses, peonies and lots of cascading white orchids. The high and low clear glass vessels made the flowers seemed like they are floating in the air. There are also huge flowers arrangements on the classic white ceramic vessels surrounded the white dance floor, Wow! Cat the owner of Three Petals is a talented Flowerist. After my sister used Three Petals for her wedding and everyone raved about her flowers, I knew I had to book them immediately after I got engaged. I seriously loved everything about my floral arrangements for my wedding. Everyone couldn't stop telling me how beautiful the flowers were - and that solidified my decision to go with Three Petals. I had my reception at the Venue where Catherine also owns and operates. She was able to accommodate my vision and delivered even more than I could ever ask for. I wanted a floral wall but couldn't afford a full wall - Catherine created a deconstructed floral wall that blew my mind - it was made of columns and shapes of flowers that looked breathtaking. We decided on short centerpieces since we had such a large party (430 guests) so that it would not obstruct anyone's views, and I'm glad we chose that route as it helped me save money to spend on other things such as minimizing lighting (uplights were not necessary for centerpieces now).
