The staff alone give this place a 5* rating! But that's what you get when you go to a village pub/restaurant. The local people are so welcoming and lovely. The staff were friendly and VERY helpful. My mother in law recently moved to the village and had the pub had been recommended by neighbours. We ate there on a Saturday evening, in total we had,Starters: Vegetable soup (homemade), Garlic Mushrooms, Prawn Cocktail. Main: 2x Sirloin Blackrock Steaks, Chicken and Leek pie. Desserts: Homemade Banoffee Pie, Chocolate Sponge and a Strawberry Eton Mess. Drinks: 6 pints of beer all for a FANTASTIC £73!!!!!!
Lovely pub, typical village looking pub which added to the experience! Pie and Pea night is on a Friday.
If in the area, please do visit, it's a magical place. I'm pleased my mother in law lives in the area as I can visit when I visit back home! I would advise you to pre book a table as it is very popular amongst the locals and surrounding areas! read more
