This is a really popular pub with younger people, set just along from the main shopping area in Brigg. They have quiz nights and Sky Sports on TV, and are always advertising Sunday roast dinners although I've never tried any of the food. I've always thought that it could do with a bit of a makeover but other than that, since the smoking ban came in (it used to be filthy) it's clean enough. This is the best pub in Brigg there are lot of regulars here and the beer is cheap too. They source an ale from quite far away and usually there is a happy hour every week which means that beer is really cheap to buy. The place is usually quite clean and quiet due to the nonsmoking restrictions, and so that it would be a suitable place for all of the family. What makes Britannica Inn is the white building facade and sign which is prominent in the heart of Brigg centre as you drive in. read more

Had a lovely meal there last week. Had chicken pie. Just a bit too much pastry for me and could do with a greater variety of fresh vegetables rather than frozen. . Pleasant service though. Enjoyed our evening. Cloudy Cider excellent. read more
