Since joining Alpha, we've seen measurable and meaningful growth in his development as a baseball player--most notably in his hitting consistency, approach at the plate, and overall confidence, as well as clear improvements in his fielding fundamentals and baseball IQ. What makes this even more impressive is that Niam trained at several other baseball facilities in the area prior to Alpha Athletics. While those experiences were fine, the results simply did not compare. The difference at Alpha is intentional coaching, individualized attention, and a genuine commitment to each athlete's growth. Jack had developed a sweet swing. I just couldn't get over the feeling that he was leaving so much power potential on the table and it just didn't seem anyone could figure out how to crack it. To make it click for him. I came across Alpha Athletics' (formerly Three Gear Hitting when we joined) sign near my neighborhood and checked out their website. They teach a hitting pattern that I'd come across on YouTube, but didn't understand, other than that it was non-traditional, controversial, but whose champion was a dude who trains Aaron Judge and insists it's the pattern of many of the game's greatest hitters, even if they themselves didn't realize it. I was intrigued. We signed up for the offered free lesson and in just ONE CLASS, Jack was hitting harder than I've ever seen him hit, and it was one after the other. Bryan took him aside in class, gave him individual attention, and told him to forget just a couple "fundamentals" of traditional hitting, showing him instead how to feel which muscles are responsible for launching. I don't pretend to understand how the HLP pattern works exactly. I'm still learning. So is Jack. He's a work in progress. All I know is that he picked up enough in just that first several minutes with Schmidty that he was letting loose like I'd never seen, and it continues. A couple months in and his confidence and love of the game had absolutely taken off. Their approach is modern. Jack's exit velo has taken off. Their drills are just go go go, and Jack's just lapping it up. I believe in what Alpha is doing. We've been with them now for a year and a half. It's working for my son and we're all in!

We have been coming to El Dorado Hills Sports Club for over ~15 years and over that time, they have…read morecontinually made improvements to make it better! The weight machines have mostly been updates within the past 5 years or so, the floors have been replaced in the main gym area, and the old cafeteria area has been converted to a workout area. There are other gyms in the area but don't offer the variety of workout options or they are just more expensive. We are also have a membership with their sister club in Folsom as this one does not have tennis courts. Will continue to use this gym for years to come!

I especially appreciate how he takes the time during/after drill to discuss with my child what they learned, explain proper body positioning, and relate each skill to real-game situations. For Folsom, they hold this event in April for the spring/summer items and they also have another event in August for Fall/Winter season. You can find numerous items from play pins, strollers, high chairs, toys, books and clothing! You name it, they probably sell it. If you are a new parent or know someone that can benefit from saving a buck, then this is the event for you!

Today (6/11/20) I took my 2 young grandsons to scooter at the skate park off Cambridge. A boy…read moreabout 11 wanted to ride his bicycle in the skate park and I told him that he could not as they are not allowed. He then went home and came back with his 12 or 13 year old sister. She then proceeded to ride her bike, without a helmet, in the skate park. I again told her that she could not as they are not allowed. She came right up to me and challenged me. A boy about 15 who was riding a skate board came to her side and tried to challenge me on whether bikes were allowed......they are not. This park must have parental supervision or a park employee must be there to keep these things from happening again. This is not the first time I have seen bikes in the skate park. I have 2 young grandsons and I will not allow some knot-headed kid endanger them. This needs to be resolved ASAP as a serious injury and lawsuit is coming your way if and when these kids get injured.

Concern About Staff Harassment…read more I attended a community event recently and had an uncomfortable experience with one of your staff photographers. Despite clearly blocking him and expressing that I did not want my photo taken, he continued taking pictures of me and singling me out to take my picture and record me. When I reported this to venue staff, the response was essentially that he was "just doing his job," which made me feel that my boundaries and safety were not being taken seriously. The staff did not address his behavior and requested a private meeting with me to question me. I'm sharing this so the venue is aware that attendees' comfort and consent must come first. Staff should be trained and reminded to respect boundaries and ensure everyone feels safe. I hope the venue will address this behavior and prevent similar incidents in the future.

Plenty of shade trees, open space, poop bags and water fountains ( for humans & K-9's)* *water fountains for humans & K-9's. Poop bags for dogs only. Both the big dog (over 30lbs) and small dog areas have ample room to run and play. We now have 3 very nice dog parks ( Folsom / Cameron Park ) within a 10 mile radius of our home. What a great place for "Man's best friend" to run, play and meet new friends.
