I've been looking for birthday cake for my dog for the longest time. I remember we used to go one small bakery near Rice University. But couldn't remember the location anymore, so I searched up another. Three Dog Bakery popped up with big reviews, so I gave it a try. We loved it. The cake/ cookies selection is amazing. My dog really enjoyed the peanut butter cake we got her. Will definitely go back!

So excited !!!!!! Yummy !!!! From Oscar !

Three Dog Bakery is my go-to place when ordering cakes for my fur-babies. I ordered the peanut butter 5' round birthday cake. You can customize the writing to however you want it. Just remember there is not much room for writing. I pre-ordered it 24 hours in advance and it was ready by next day at noon. Came and picked up the cake the next day. I was greeted by a lady and asked if I needed assistance. I told her I am here to pick up a birthday cake and gave her my name. The store was clean and sells other items such as dog cookies, cake, and pet products. My fur-babies devoured the cake. Would highly recommend this place to celebrate the dogs.

My go to place in the heights for dog treats and toys. This month I celebrated my dogs gotcha day. 3 years which my sweet little girl Blanca. Three dog bakery always has so much selection and very artsy treats. My dog has never complained and gets super excited when she sees the box. This year we bought her a new hat to kick things off. Store has other things pet related. Go check them out! And if you're hungry there's a burger place across the street called Someburger or a pizza place called Gypsy poet. -R

Happy Birthday Baby Girl! She loved it! *update: I tried the Reese's treat and it tastes nothing like peanut butter. These treats should taste good even though they're for dogs.

Fresh baked dog treats

If you're looking for freshly baked dog treats, then this is your place! The original location is in Rice Village and this store is similar to it. I come about once a month to spoil my dogs with treats and buy dog food that I can't find at mainstream pet stores (i.e. Pet Smart and Petco). They have seasonal treats that are super cute and freshly made, I always see them baking whenever I am there. This is also my go to for my dogs' birthday cakes- they can personalize them with their names and even my picky dog will eat everything here! In addition to food, they also sell dog toys, leashes, super cute bandanas, dog clothing, and even human t-shirts. The staff here is always so welcoming and loves to give out treats to all the visiting dogs. Definitely come here for a visit if you want to spoil your pup! P.S. Lots of parking available - there's a private lot in the back of the store and street parking on 11th Street.

Celebrating our angel baby's 4th birthday so we stopped by to get treats and bakery items. Our dog is allergic to eggs, so we are happy that they have ingredients listed even on their bakery items. They have good sales. We were able to get 1 Three Dog Bakery item for free after buying 3 items. Our babies loved the bakery treats and ate them so quickly. Definitely a great little spot in the heights area!

Three Dog Bakery made my baby's sweet 16 a success! The shop was clean, and the staff were very friendly. I did find the wait time for a custom cake (2 weeks out!) to be a bit ridiculous, but I was ok with adding writing to one of their ready cakes. My pup absolutely loved her cake! Thank you so much!

I wanted to give this bakery five stars, but I felt that the service was lacking. I came in to get a birthday cake and some treats for my dog. Neither of the workers greeted me or asked if I needed help. They just stared and waited until I said something. The main cashier was also in between phone calls and seemed rushed. I compared my interactions with the customer after me and it was totally different. They were asked how they were doing, whether they were a rewards member, etc. It just seemed like they weren't willing to help me. Aside from the customer service, my dog loved the cake and treats. I'm hesitant to come back but maybe I'll give them another shot later down the line.

Fresh and fun bakery treats for the best girl in our lives! I've stopped by a few times to pick up birthday treats, cheese stick snacks, and whatever else looks appetizing for my dog and they have been friendly and helpful every time. Decently priced and our girl always devours the treats right up! Parking is a little hectic as it is on a busy 2 way street but it's manageable!

He had no wing feathers, tail feathers, crest feather, covered in sores, bleeding in places, .... he was stressed. At this time Cass was only 8 years old and his pet parents were older and the mom was ill. The family found out she had cancer and she shortly passed. Then because of all the bills, the house was foreclosed upon. Dad didn't know what to do when he needed to go into the hospital and he didn't have a place for Cass. He stopped by a Petco that I worked at and asked about boarding. I explained that at this moment we didn't have boarding and referred him to a Vet Clinic close by that I knew was familiar with birds. He explained that he already checked with them and it wouldn't be feasible. Here Cass was wearing a sock with the toe cut out because he had plucked all his feathers out and was mutilating himself. I explained to dad that Cass could be relinquished and we could make sure he received medical care. Two days later dad brought Cass back and relinquished him. We weren't set up for a Umbrella Cockatoo. I personally bought the cage that was appropriate for him and the food that he was used to. He had already been through hell, I wasn't going to make him deal with more changes. That first day we had him at the register while we were getting things ready. He perked up, started bobbing and swaying, started singing, and he was going up to each person that checked out saying "what, what" . I took him to the Vet that I knew had bird knowledge to tell me how to help him. They basically wanted him on birdie Prozac. They stated that he was nervous because of all the changes in his life and he needed to be medicated. We did that, he didn't pluck but he wasn't that stimulated bird interacting, playing and talking animatedly. I took him to another vet and they gave him a silvadeen spray for his chest in case there was something wrong with the skin. The sores healed up quickly but he still didn't seem happy. I took him to a third vet, Dr. Grana, she had worked at the Zoo for awhile, then went to a regular clinic. She said that she wanted to make a few calls to her vet friends at the Zoo. I get a phone call from her the same day as the first appointment. She told me stimulation was what he needed. I spoke to my District Leader and told him a little about what was going on and that I had adopted Cass because of all his needs. My DL said that I should do Meet The Critter events with him so people would understand the needs of big birds. So it started, for 4 years Cass was a regular at the store for Meet The Critter. He would talk and Play with people, he would get bored with one situation and climb down to go to the next. We found that he loves Taylor Swift and that he understands some Spanish as he yells "baile baile ". He has regulars that come in that he sings to so they will come pick him before they go shopping. He has us trained. When I tell people about birds, I let them know that birds are perpetual 3 year olds. The toys have to change often, the interaction has to be significant and they can be destructive and throw a temper tantrum. Cass finally got to the point that I can lay him on his back and snuggle with him. I felt as proud as a mother whose child said their first word. The day he said "want some " instead of trying to take the food out of my hand was another great day. The day I realized he didn't like hoodies, but hats were fine was another growing experience. Or the day I found out Cass was purposefully pooping on me because he was mad at me.... that was interesting. He is a 3 year old trying to teach me to understand his moods, his nuances and his language. He's smart and he's going to outlive me. I received a crash course in what can happen if all the little things aren't paid attention to. Do I know everything about birds? No, but I keep asking and keep growing with knowledge because I have this forever baby that I have to keep working with. Petco taught me that people might want a pet, but that some people might not need a pet and it's okay to say no. I have never gotten in trouble for telling someone that we couldn't sell a companion animal to them. Petco puts companion animals first.

It's a smaller location inside the loop; luckily it's convenient and an alternative to buying…read moreonline on Amazon or Chewy. Got some cat gear and the staff was generally friendly. When we signed the contract the guarantee that the dog comes healthy. The next day I'm playing with the puppy in the morning and notice a puncture wound that's scabbing next to where they said he received his shots and I took pictures and sent them to The family pet store owners and they called me and said that it was a "reaction" to the vaccination and and to compress it with warm water I take the puppy to the vet that same day 7/14/20 to get his shots and that checked out and they let me know that it's not a reaction but a puncture wound caused by something such as a bite etc. they ( the vet) then preceded to give us ointment for the area. I let the owners of the family pet store know and requested that they give us an explanation so we know what happened to the puppy they told us that when they got the puppy from the breeder he had an active infection where the puncture wound is located and they had been treating it with just warm compressions. They are not licensed vets they should've taken the dog to get looked at for that beforehand. They did not disclose this information with us before we purchased the pup and if they had we wouldn't have gotten the dog because The puppy was not healthy we have to care for it's puncture wound so that it heals properly and he doesn't risk getting an infection. Not to mention because they didn't get he wound professionally treated with the proper medicines the scab is going to leave a bald patch on the puppy's butt ( he's already losing lots of fur there after a bath ) We assumed we bought a "healthy" dog and that we wouldn't have to take care of a wound especially for the price but we were wrong they knowingly withheld information about the dogs health and completely discredited their about us statement. On their website and I quote "Most people unknowingly end up with puppy mill pups due to choosing unreliable routes to abtain a pet. You can be sure that you will only find healthy, ethically raised puppies here. All of our puppies are born and raised in a home setting and come from parents who are very much loved and are family pets first. We only work with small local breeding programs, whom we have established solid personal relationships with. We value our pets as family members and hope that you can see the different level of standard we uphold at our store. It's a lifetime of love - one puppy at a time!" Is definitely lacking and untrue I really wanted to like them and give them the benefit of the doubt but honestly if they would've just let us know from the start that the puppy had a healing wound from past infection this would've been avoided and the price for the dog should've been negotiated and lowered. We love the dog but feel cheated for the price we payed and are "working" with the owners of the to fix the issue they seem like reasonable people but after they withheld information about the condition of the dog I can't trust them to do the right thing. They clearly only care about the money and not the dogs that they sell. UPDATE: 7/15/2020 the owners of the store did not give us SOME of the money back for the puppy that they sold to us with a defect they offered to give us a refund if we returned the dog because they knew it had a healing puncture and didn't let us know but we declined because we love the pup and don't feel comfortable giving it to those people who clearly buy from bad breeders and puppy mills the dog would be safer with us and not be put down if we did return it. Overall this was a huge learning lesson and I strongly discourage people from buying from this guy and his wife they know that Texas doesn't have puppy lemon laws and take advantage of that. Stay away from these people and the store they know how to twist and lie I'm sure they have been sued before in California for selling sick puppies which is why they opened up shop in Texas.

It's definitely a huge store, but much homier than some of your traditional pet stores. I used to shop at Petsmart because they offered a coupon book of freebies when I first adopted my cat. I didn't even know places like Pet Supermarket existed! They are always running promotions on different items throughout the store and even sent some of the neighborhood customers $5 off coupons (no minimum purchase) to use for June through August. I popped in to buy my kitty some more food and saw that the usual brand I get was $3 off, so that combined with my $5 coupon was a great deal. I was scambling to tear off June's coupon, but the cashier chuckled and said I could keep it because they were meant to be reused. My cat has to eat the "fancy" stuff because she's allergic to basically everything, but they stock every single brand you could think of. And it's not just the expensive brands that have the deals. The last time I went, the Purina Tidy Cats litter was $1 off and offered a free bag of treats! My absolute favorite part about this store is that there are adoptable kittens that the employees encourage you to play with. You're welcome to pop open the latch and cuddle the kitties for as long as you'd like. They're from Houston Pets Alive, which is a no-kill shelter and adoption fees are only $50. The cats are positioned right next to the adoptable birds, rabbits, and hamsters, so there's plenty to keep them interested until you come visit!
