He was sooo small and delicate, the owners needed a little more time with him and to determine that we were suitable paw parents. Since then, we've maintained a casual acquaintance with this store and it's sister stores, occasionally stopping by, visiting and buying stuff for all of our pets. An efficient commercial pet store doesn't necessarily mean the same thing as the more pejorative "puppy mill", and the knowledge, compassion, professionalism, and friendliness of Megan and all staff at all their stores is a testament to their continued success over many decades. Tonight, as I write this, Tequila, bundled snuggly on my chest, is taking his final breaths and passing on... I will, and have, recommended this business to anyone who asks.

We walk in there and they say hi and then take calls before talking to us again. Then they come over pet our dog and riled her up and then kept repeating that. We told them our dog get anxious. Then, they were getting upset that our dog didn't want to get there PetSmart collar on her neck instantly. Obviously any animal is not going to want that after you riled them up. They took 25 mins to even get her back there. So they tell us 3 hours to groom our dog. Okay kind of reasonable she told us it would take the full 3 hours because she is a retriever. We then we say our goodbyes. In the meantime we go and look at new collars and go to walk out as soon as we walk out we get a call. PetSmart. So I'm thinking maybe they needed another proof of vaccination for the dog or something stupid. They tell us we need to pick her up right away because she refused to get into there kennel. EXCUSE ME. KENNEL? If it's supposed to take you the "FULL 3 HOURS" why are we putting her in a kennel. Not only were the workers getting upset she wouldn't want a choking collar on her YOU TRY TO PUT HER IN A KENNEL. I'm in complete disbelief. She is an animal it is completely natural for her not to be in a cage. I'm very disappointed how they treated her and I would not recommend this to anyone else. It is very basic and they don't care for the needs of your pet! I would recommend going to a family owned business where they care for your animals! I would say do not go here for any kind of grooming at all!
