Even if the queue seems long, you rarely have to wait long as they have a lot of excellent stylists. The small waiting area has comfortable seats and there is a good variety of newspapers to read while you wait! Although not the cheapest, it is good value for money and you will always get a decent cut from any of their friendly stylists. They are very patient with children, who are usually offered a lollipop after their haircut!

The hairdresser's (Debbie) hands stank of cigarettes - absolutely revolting and not something I've been subjected to in a hairdressers before. Really not acceptable. The cut was dreadful, out of date and unimaginative, she listened to what I said but did the opposite. To top it all off, it was expensive; top end price compared to other hairdressers in Huddersfield but distinctly mediocre in terms of salon and stylist quality. I will never go there again and I certainly don't recommend you do either. There's lots of great salons in Huddersfield, but this is NOT one of them.

I was lucky that they could fit me in that afternoon with Debbie. I was very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff - they were very welcoming and made me feel at ease which I really appreciated. I explained the various problems I have with my hair to Debbie and she listened very carefully and gave me some suggestions about how it could be cut. I was very happy with the result at the time and I still am, a week or so later, as I have been able to wash and dry it with no problems and have received a few compliments on it too. I don't expect Roger David is the cheapest hairdresser in Huddersfield but that wasn't what I was looking for. I paid £43 for my cut and blow dry (which is broadly in line with what I pay in London) and as far as I'm concerned it was very good value and I would certainly recommend Debbie.

The salon itself overlooks the valley with lovely views and is very modern with beautiful wood floors. The beauty salon is located within and offers treatments such as spray tans and manicures. The prices are a little over average but are really worth it. The people there are brilliant at their jobs and are very nice to talk to whilst being treated, they put you at ease in sometimes awkward situations.
