Was coming into…read moremammoth for a camping trip and learned very last minute that the mosquitos are pretty bad this year due to all the water from this winter. We don't really have mosquitos where we are from and our dog is not on any heart worm preventative. When I learned about the mosquitos (morning that we were supposed to hit the road) I called my vet in my home town and they weren't able to squeeze us in. I almost didn't bring my dog but decided to try to call a vet in mammoth and called Alpen. I explained my worry for the heart worm and they were happy to take me in that day!! Once we got into town, we stopped by and we're able to get some preventative. The lady at the front was so nice and helpful. Later that night when we pulled up to our first campsite there were HUNDREDS of mosquitos. Our car was swarmed from the second we pulled up. After some time prepping with bug spray we made our way out. Proud to say my dog seemingly got no bites over our 4 day stay all thanks to Alpen vet! Very thankful they were able to get us in on such short notice.

You would think he would pop his head in say hey who he is amd hi to jasper. Nope they labeled him aggressive and were not gonna be friendly. I asked the dr politely to step out for a second so I can put the muzzle back on my dog. He never came back in. My dog was hurting himself with the muzzle waiting longer. It was strange and very uncomfortable and extremely stressful for myself and my dog. I don't think they had good bed side manners, it felt all so rushed. I need my dog to have some sense of safety and he didnt get that from this vet. No consideration for my dogs mental health or mine. He is my everything and to be treated like he is a monster is wrong I read a review on yelp, this lady was banned for a honest yelp review. That is called retaliation and does not look good on the business. I am proud to say my dog and I are banned too! I was not coming back again anyways. People are going through things that you dont see and speaking to a customer in a caring manner is important.

We waited 2.5 hours before being even assessed. But other than that I was happy with the visit. I read all the reviews and was worried about the level of care due to what I was reading. My cat bootsie came in with what seemed like she was exposed to a toxin. I'm glad we brought her in. It was the hardest decision ever but right by her. She had a fever of 106.4 and would have likely passed at home in pain. We opted for euthanasia due to the diagnosis and I knew it was coming. I couldn't afford treatment as it was. They didn't even charge me for the doctors exam for the $189 they only charged us for the euthanasia. Which I felt was a fair price for $199 to take the body home vs golden valley vet whom I called for a quote on the same thing and they quoted me $360!!! Not even for cremation The doctor she was very kind and explained the options and gave me reality. We made the right choice by Bootsie. The staff were great in helping me shave a patch of her fur and even got her paw prints for me and nose prints. I didn't even think they would get it since her whole mouth was covered in the activated charcoal I gave her. But I saw when I got home how many great prints they did of her paws and nose and it warmed my heart to have those. Thanks for helping her transition over the rainbow bridge

However, once we were placed in a room, we waited for an hour and a half and no technician or veterinarian came in to check on us. No one provided any updates or explained what was going on. We ultimately decided to leave and go somewhere else. This was not how we wanted our little dog's final moments to be handled. It felt like there was very little communication or urgency. It was a very disappointing and upsetting experience during an already difficult time.

Dr.Tais is the first naturopathic physician to treat me. I scoured the websites looking for a…read morenaturopath in the Fresno area, with the understanding my insurance would not cover any of my treatments with any such doctor. I had been quite ill for about three years and became frustrated with all of the poking and prodding ( 3 surgeries, and 1 year of physical therapy) my primary and all 14 specialists were asking me to endure. My labs, tests, cat-scans, MRI's and surgical findings always came up "inconclusive" or just "slightly off/out of range", no real definitive answer or name for why I felt so awful and my body was morphing into someone I no longer recognized. After the last major surgery I was desperate to feel well again and deteriorating quickly, with no faith in the physicians and surgeons caring for me. My primary said I was just a sensitive woman and indicated I may just have anxiety issues. Enough was enough, I took a leap of faith and emailed Dr. Tais who kindly responded and answered my questions about billing, payments , labs, and tests before scheduling a first visit via email. She let me know I was welcome to telephone with any other questions. I did telephone and she called me back, I was a little surprised at first because rarely does the actual provider speak to you on the phone themselves. Upon our first visit I found Dr. Tais to be kind, caring, patient, and a very good listener. She ordered a few labs, requested all of my records from my previous 14 specialists and primary care doctor and said she'd phone when results came in. In ONE VISIT and ONE ROUND OF LABS she chose to order she found the culprits of my rapidly declining health!! ONE VISIT !!!!! I was relieved and upset all at once, I wasn't crazy after all and SHE found out what was wrong in ONE VISIT!!! One of my first questions after wrapping my head around the treatment and the fact that I absolutely knew something was wrong with my health was..... "Did my previous panel of physicians miss this key indicator in my many rounds of labs with them?" Yes , they did!! It was right there in the labs that they forwarded to her themselves in black and white. It has taken everything in me to not go back in to every one of their offices and point out on their labs and her labs the egregious oversight that robbed me of 3 years of my life!! The doctors that my insurance would cover visits for wasted my time, resources, ordered time away from work, and missed my children's many milestones (years of my life) because they overlooked their own orders and labs. I am not a wealthy person and have paid a few thousands of dollars over the past three years trying to resolve my health issues. Had I only known about Dr. Tais and her practice I would have spared the three years of damage to my body, and had a much healthier and larger savings account. She is now the only doctor I trust, I chose to continue with her practice even after pinpointing the root cause of all of my many symptoms and am now a loyal and lifelong patient. I am feeling so much better now and we are working to fine tune the treatments to get me back to optimal health!!! The follow up visits (much less than the initial setup appointment) aren't too much more expensive than my regular copays with my health insurance and my husband agrees that Dr.Tais is worth every penny!!!
