Hiring THREAD Events was easily the best money spent for our wedding! I wanted someone who had previous experience with our venue, and after chatting with a few planners we decided to go with Ashley. We ended up choosing the partial planning package as I wanted help with design along with coordination. Throughout the whole process, Ash was such an incredible wealth of knowledge and responsive (I had A LOT of questions for her, too). While I had hired a good number of vendors on my own, Ash was vital in organizing all our rentals & recommending a florist (who was AMAZING). She also developed a design guide with three different concepts for us to choose from that would help keep the look of our wedding visually cohesive. On the day of the wedding, all we had to do was follow our itinerary timeline and pretty much just show up! Everyone I talked to who had gotten married kept telling us that inevitably something will go wrong, but as far as we were aware everything was perfect. I truly believe that Ash and Tushita (who was brought into the loop a few months prior) were essential to this all coming together--they also made sure to check in with us the whole time to see if we needed anything or to just bring us a cocktail! Working with Thread Events for partial wedding coordination was easily the best choice we made when we planned our wedding. When we came to Ash we had already narrowed down our venue choices and had an idea of where we wanted to go for catering. Ash was always happy to work with us, super responsive with emails, put together an amazing team of vendors for our day, and worked seamlessly with the vendors that we had chosen on our own. From the moment we met Ash, we just got along so well, and knew that she understood what we wanted to prioritize for our wedding. I never regretted taking her advice about any aspect of the wedding, and when it came to our photographer, our florals, and our rentals her advice was golden! She always laid out the options, let us make the decision, and was so supportive of our choices. Her creative vision was amazing, especially when I just handed the reins to her because I was overwhelmed with choices haha! When there was an issue with our caterer and our venue while we were in Mexico, she handled it and we didn't even know about the issue until after we landed back home. As it got closer to the day of the wedding, she was happy to text about details and reassure me when I got stressed. If there were any snafus on our wedding day, we had absolutely no idea because it was flawless to us! I went into this thinking wedding planners are a waste of money but I couldn't be more wrong. Although we only had a very small, intimate wedding, there are so many things that I did not know I had to think about. I am not usually a person who sweats the details but it was extremely nice not having to worry about a thing on my wedding day. We had Ashley with us from the very beginning. We had a concept in mind but with her vision, experience, and connections, we got the wedding of our dreams. When we needed a DJ, we told Ashley our style and preferences and she got us a great deal with one of her preferred vendors. When we went to our planning meeting at our venue and they told us they "forgot to charge us for the chairs in the contract we signed" Ashely fought on our behalf to waive the fee. On the day of, all I had to do was show up, see family and friends, have a cocktail and relax. Ashley and her team took care of everything. I didn't think I needed a wedding planner, but in retrospect I can't imagine having done it without Ashley. She was indispensable at every step of the process. When we scouted venues, she knew stuff to ask that I never would have thought of. She is a tough negotiator with venues & vendors who knows how to get you the most bang for your buck. She was also great at getting my parents on board with my choices; they trusted her professional knowledge. On the day of the event, she was amazing; she put us at ease and made sure everything went smoothly-- including getting medical care for one guest who had a health emergency! Planning a wedding can be overwhelming and even with all the free planning tools out there, it can still be challenging to know where to start, from pricing to lead-times to choosing the right vendors that suit your style. Ashley (and Becky) gave us thoughtful vendor recommendations they had already vetted, so we couldn't go wrong in deciding what felt right for us.
