This was not what we signed up for! We have gross views of trailer trash! Freeway noise... construction noise at 7:30am. When we called to confirm site 41, because there are multiple sites. We were told to check in they would give us a great site. If this is great would hate to see their bad sites! read more

We have been here since Monday. Really nice campground. Friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor pools including a wading pool outdoor. Good size hot tub indoor. Reading/board game room next to office. Huge game room with air hockey and pool tables. Laundry room has 4 washers and 4 dryers. $2 each. You can add extra quarters to dryer for extra time. Dryers dry really good. Sink and towel dispenser available in laundry room. Big fish tank and leopard gecko across from office. I loved the gecko! Koi pond outside office. Overall I would say kinda dated park but still very nice. Quiet the whole time we've been here. Will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area. read more

Staff is friendly. The facility?... Looks like not a dime was spent to keep this place up over the years. Everything is very run down, outdoor facilities have obviously not been swept or blown off for weeks, and everything is patched together. An awful lot the permanent resident sites are a step above living on the streets. (I'm guessing this was a fantastic place 30 years ago.) First place we've stayed that we felt we needed to lock everything and leave nothing out. If you're looking for a resort atmosphere for your family, move on. read more

Don't be deceived by the pictures. The park has lots of deferred maintenance issues! It is tough for big rigs with tight, narrow interior roads. Many of the sites are 'permanent' leases occupied by park models. The only reason it got 2 stars is its nearness to Williamsburg. read more

I am so excited to finally be able to sit down and write this review! We ended up staying here from 10/27 to 12/1. We arrived here late on the 27th and our RV broke down at the gate. It was a Sunday night and we had no clue why it just shut off and we couldn't get ahold of any repairman due to the day and time of night. Lorena, receptionist at the campground, and her Kelly came up and tried to help us get the RV running that night as well. The campground gave us the name and number of a highly recommended repairman who we called in the morning. RJ and Mike, the maintenance men of the campground, came up to the gate and kept the exit gate open for people to come and go while we tried to figure out what was going on. The repair man came and said he couldn't fix it today and gave us an idea of what might be going on. From there, RJ got the tractor and towed our RV down to our lot. The staff here is absolutely amazing and during our stay we became friends with most of them. Janice, another receptionist at the campground, extended our stay when the part to fix our RV still hadn't come in and then she helped us extend our stay again - which we had to pay for but that was okay! Everyone here goes above and beyond what they need to. They're all friendly and a blast to talk to! There is are 2 playgrounds for kids, mini golf, shuffleboard, and basketball as well. It's all very well maintenanced and a lot of fun! The bad is that one of the heaters went out at the indoor pool and spa. So the spa/hot tub was shut down 3 days before the park closed for the winter. Stuff happens though and this wasn't on them or due to lack of maintenance. We were informed that a new heater was ordered so they'll be reopening the spa soon! There was also talk about repainting the indoor pool and hot tub as well as switching them over to saltwater. So that's something else to look forward to! As for the lots, some of them can be a bit small. We were on D5 and it was huge! We loved it! But not all of the lots are big. Some can be tight. Many of them are not level either and the roads are very tight. So be careful and take your time moving your rigs around here. I have to say that there is a steep hill getting in and out of the park. It is absolute hell to get up and down! So just a heads up about that. Over all, we absolutely loved this park and highly enjoyed our stay! We loved staying here and would consider buying a cabin here. We fully intend to come back again! This was an excellent park. If you're in the area, this is the place to go! read more

This trip was supposed to be a fun family adventure. It was nothing of the sort. The entry road into the campground is newly paved until it is out of view from the main road, after which it is "paved" kind of or a dirt road. This is nothing out of the ordinary. Our initial reaction was concern as we saw campers parked so near to one another some were within a foot of a another site. There are a great deal of permanent sites spattered throughout the property. The roads were narrow and winding making it difficult to maneuver with the camper. We were greeted by dated dilapidated buildings of peeling paint and decomposing wooden siding. Upon arrival we were given a spot that was barely large enough for our 28' camper. With our singular slide-out extended awning rapped against our neighbor's camper due to the sardine way that trailers are haphazardly placed. Our dogs had no room near our site to defecate meaning that we needed to walk a short distance to simply meet our pets' needs. The next day we learned that the assigned sites are not actually assigned, and are a free for all. This was confirmed by management when they sent another camper to our site after we had checked in. Not a great start to our trip, but allow me to continue. Nearly all listed amenities are unavailable or no longer exist. There is no indoor swimming pool. The game room is a musty smelling room that is not open and is constantly "under renovation" (according to a fellow camper who has a permanent site.) The pool is currently in shambles as it is being resurfaced and renovated. The 4 "court sports" listed share a half sized tennis court. Need to do laundry? I hope you can do it during the short time that anyone from management is willing to unlock the area that houses the machines. The bathrooms were neither clean nor has any pest control been done. (I wish that I was exaggerating with this next part) I walked down the dirt road/path from our camper to the shower house to take a hot shower. Since our camper has such a small water heater, and the rest of my family would use the minute amount of hot water available, I figured this wise. Upon opening the door and using the toilets, I noticed a single millipede. This of course is nothing to be alarmed about. I finish the task at hand and then head over to the shower stalls. One is out of order and is denotated as such with a dining room chair and a hastily scribbled message (effective yet unprofessional and concerning as to what kind of care is taken to ensure safety) . This left two stalls for my choosing, I chose the first and was instantly assuaged by what I gazed upon before me after wrenching open the cheap curtain. The floor was carpeted... or so I thought. Carpet however doesn't move. The floor and walls were engulfed in millipedes crawling over top of one another and spreading throughout the bathhouse like a moving black shag carpet in a way consuming the entire floor. This made me feel like I was living through some sort of horror movie from a twisted director. I briskly went back to our site and decided to take an icy cold shower rather than walk on and squish a plethora of bugs whilst attempting to clean myself. If that weren't enough to ascertain an image of the facilities add the noise of two highways visible from our site. It was quite noisy at all hours of the day, some people that may bother, me it did not. Upon leaving this decrepit and ill kept trailer park we went to check out upon which we were laughed at and told to "just leave." The service was poor, we had to get ALL of our information from fellow campers who heard it from fellow campers. The facilities are not as advertised anymore than fleeting similarities. This was by far the worst campground I have ever stayed at in my 25+ years of camping. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

PARENTS BEWARE It's pretty and has fun activities. However, some of the kids who live there full time, are an issue. Their parents are workers so the kids are always there. We had issues with these same kids bullying our special needs kids last year, and on our one stay there this year it was even worse. We have canceled all future stays due to these children and their parents lack of interest in changing or even seeming to care. The son and daughter were persuading smaller kids the stagnant non-potable water in the mini golf pond was not only for playing in it was for drinking. They convinced them to drink it. Later the boy picked on my kids verbally and physically, he got hot water available for tea in the lounge and threw it at them. He attempted to pour it on my blind sons head. My daughter stopped him. These things escalating to him telling my sons to come in the men's rooms and show him their privates. My kids did not. They told me. We told the manager and sent the details in writing. I never heard back from him until I asked. His answer was the boy and his parents said he didn't do any of these things so it stopped there. This child is a great danger to campers. His parents and management won't do anything. Keep you kids close! We will NOT be back. The resident bully and uncaring workers and parents are a big turn off BEWARE read more

We came for a weekend get-away being that we live very close. First impressions are everything. The resort was gated and that was good. The roads were a bit tight, if you have a big fifth wheel, be prepared to do your homework of the sites before driving in. The front desk was nice and while the clubhouse was very outdated, it was still comfortable. The general store provided the essentials and they provided a game room. We enjoyed the complimentary mini golf and the indoor pool. It is definitely a place we will come back to, but not the best we have ever stayed at. read more

Their playground does not have swings, so my kids get board there really fast. They need swings . Other wise we like this park. Also this park is scheduled to close for 3 months, so alot of our friends and family are going to be uprooted from their home, and that is causing hardship on a lot of them, that are used to living here year round, and they will be alot that you could loose. With hearing the talk a lot of them are sad because of you all closing it for 3 months. read more

Happy with the site we ended up choosing but wasn't aware until check in that it was first come first served. Called the campground the day of check in to ask for our spot number (since I thought I had reserved a specific spot). Left a voicemail asking for someone to call or email me back. No returned call or email. Was lucky enough to get off work early and checked in during daylight and in time to find out that it was first come first serve. We were told to go find a spot and were given a map. Grateful for a fellow camper who guided us to a less-sloped site. Went back to inform the camp staff where we had settled and were treated with a little curtness because we brought our dogs into the office (actually after looking for a "no dogs" sign and not seeing one). Lots of kids at the campground and lots for then to do at the campground. We don't tow a vehicle and so, are limited by what's accessible by bike or foot. This campground isn't near or accessible to anything via bike or foot. Opted to check out the pool (where apparently dogs are allowed ... or at least where the no-dog law wasn't enforced) and after a quick dip in the pool, was brushed out by a few stray hairs doing laps. Same hairy situation in the hot tub. Back to our site we went. All in all, nice sites. We were on a nice site, a little too close to the noisy roadway right behind us, but such is geography. read more

Very nice park. The sites were very roomy with picnic table and grill. The clubhouse has a hot tub and indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool. Nice hiking trail that goes around a small lake, very relaxing. The staff was friendly, especially Christopher. Only negative was an old abandoned welcome center right as you pull in, it gave me pause and I wondered what the park would be like. Luckily the rest of the park was nice. The staff was starting to give it some springtimeTLC. read more

People were very nice. Park was well kept. Sites are really small. Very hilly. Turns are VERY sharp. Really hard to maneuver a large rig.

My kids love this place, mainly because the pools are open early and open late which is great for us. The bathrooms are pretty great compared to camp grounds we've been too. I wish there was wifi at least in the lodge. The little cafe thing to get snack foods is NEVER OPEN! Sooooo annoying to be sitting at the pool and have to buy just chips they should have it open 11-2 like the sign says! Especially in the busy summer season I'd love to have some nachos with cheese right now. read more

Nice campground. Small but most sites are level. Gravel sites with paved roads. Some cabins available for rent. Big Rig friendly. No cable, but we got satellite OK in our site (some sites would have prob) Has nice indoor pool, hot tub, outdoor pool, minurature golf, tennis, basketball) The store is open, but sometimes, must use radio at front desk to get someone to help. Nice comfort facilites (2). Well maintained and clean. No problems with noise or mischief makers. Part of OutdoorWorld system, but also admits public for a fee (:-( that is a bad point.if you paid for a membership). Nice place to ride bikes. Very narrow roadways - Beware! Park your truck and camper/RV and walk around the campground before trying to navigate it. There are several turns most will not be able to make which would require you to back up a long, twisty, narrow way. The sites are narrow as well and not very deep. Some are better than others, and most of those are taken by seasonals. The sites were not maintained well. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The pool was nice (outside). We did not use the indoor pool. All of the activities are in the center of the campground (pools/mini golf/game room/laundry). A few of the "games" in the game room were out of order. Overall ... the campground has seen better days and the neglect and poor planning shows. It wasn't a bad stay, once we navigated in, but nothing great either. I personally would not go back to this campground after knowing how difficult the roadways were. If there isn't a site on one of the easier roads, I'd leave. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. read more
