Warning to Future Tenants: I was a tenant here for 9 years…read moreand always paid on time. The only reason I stayed so long was because my daughter needed to remain in the school district. Despite being a reliable tenant, management refused to renew my lease and forced us out, claiming they needed my apartment for the owner's family. This turned out to be untrue--my apartment was given to another tenant, apparently chosen because they shared the same racial background as management. And with the same level of integrity. The way this situation was handled was dishonest, discriminatory, and showed a complete lack of integrity. The new management (post-2018) is nothing like the previous owners, who were excellent. Since the change, tenants are treated poorly, security deposits are difficult to recover, and decisions feel arbitrary. The so-called "landscaper," who is also an owner, is rude, unprofessional, and speaks to tenants as if he's doing them a favor by letting them live here. The apartments may look nice on the surface, but it's just "lipstick on a pig." Any positive reviews you see after 2018 should be taken with caution. Bottom line: if you're considering moving here, beware.

This is the absolute worst apartment complex to live in. I lived there for 2 and 1/2 years and…read morethey raised the rent 3 times. When I moved out I requested my security deposit back and they told me that the damages outweigh the deposit. This was a complete lie. There was no damage besides maybe some spot painting that needed to be done. I cannot stress strong enough-DO NOT MOVE IN HERE.

I needed 4 wooden floors re-sanded and refinished. The years of tenants created deep furniture…read morescratches, pet urine stains, and overall dirt on the 100-year old original, oak flooring. The father came for an initial inspection. The work was scheduled. The son and a helper came on time every time, and they've worked seamlessly and quickly together. And, the son possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of different types of wood and old house construction. They've refinished quite a few business in the decades of their business. They resanded the rooms in stages. I opted for the natural wood (no stain), and they applied 2 coats on top (last coat was glossy). We added the kitchen floor to the work since the original wood ran throughout the apartment. It was covered in a tar and even dustier than the first few rooms. The father has a strong opinion about his flooring and says to avoid the quality of flooring at Home Depot. As I'm gaining experience with renovation, it's absolutely true. However, depending on the budget, it may not be possible to go with his recommendation. It was an unhappy surprise to be charged $150 for moving a couple of items the first day. If they had warned me, I could've moved them in a few minutes myself. A warning would have been nicer. The work is very good, but I haven't seen the final bill yet.

I was referred to Tom Lorentz who came to measure my hardwood floors for refinishing. Our meeting…read morewas pleasant and he said he would email his estimate. In the end he completely ghosted me and never responded further. Luckily, I then was able to track down Mitchell Park of Park Flooring who had done my floors in the past. They got done beautifully by Mitchell's team. Don't waste your time with Lorentz.
