When I used to live in the City Centre I found it hard to find cheap greasy spoon cafes outside of the Bullring Market. The entire City Centre seems to be geared towards materialistic shoppers, buying clothes that were painstakingly made in Pakistan by a ten year old boy. This is why I was glad when I found this little café that serves the best bacon baguette in the city centre.
I know there are lots of eating establishments open in the City Centre, but none have the appeal of a local café for local people, this one however does.
The tea they serve here is strong, always a good sign of a decent café. The black pudding on the Full English was also of fine quality. Despite this I always seem to go for the bacon sandwich or baguette every time I come here.
I would recommend this eatery as it is in close proximity to Snow Hill Station. If you have had a hard night out on a week night and need a hang over cure then come here and have a Full English to sort you out. The food is great, yet it doesn't hold the City Centre price tag. read more
