So I wandered tonight because I'd missed my bus and it was either this one or the one on the ramp which openly discriminate against homeless people. I didn't recognise any of the staff tonight. The first person who served me was polite. It was very quiet, I went to the bank and when I came back the staff rwalking round in twos informing people to leave, The second staff member was ok taking my orders, didn't give me a receipt I ordered a festive burger pie and hot chocolate. They'd run out of the latter. The police came in, they went to talk to so.e sleeping customers, I thought I'd witness another aggressive arrest on a homeless person. The person who served me called the police to tell tales. He served a drink to one of the policemen while I waited and waited. He finally brought it. I asked where's my, sorry for. Keeping me waiting? He replied something like where do you think you are ? To which I replied there is no need to be rude especially as I have Trip Advisor and Yelp to write it up. The place got noiser and noiser ruder and ruder yet no staff said anything. Won't be going back there for a while. . . ..

With a good selection of Oriental dishes (or sauces as the case may be) hailing from a number of regions (my favourite being the Chinese and Thai options) there should be a choice for most tastes. Start by choosing your base (egg or rice noodles, rice - option to make egg fried, or just veg) add your sauce (recommendations come in the form of black bean or the spicy Thai holy basil) and then choose any optional additions you would consider adding to a normal stirfry (good selection of meat available). Cutlery to go arrives as chopsticks or the ever useful plastic spoons and forks for those that struggle going native! Perhaps a few extra side dishes and some other starter style dishes wouldn't go amiss but then again that might defeat the quick lunch to go! All in all the repeat visits made indicate that the food might be slightly addictive!

A simple idea, choose your base (rice or noodles), any extras and a tasty sauce for just £4.20 (prawn crackers and drinks are an extra £1.00). I had the Rice and Vegetable stir fry, extra mushrooms for £0.80, and a Holy basil sauce. Spicy? YES! Tasty, YES! A perfect meal deal. Affordable, quick and convenient. The small interior fills up with your chosen flavours as they cook your food before your very eyes. They only have 3 small stools to sit on by the window, so you may have to take your food out if there is no space. What I really appreciated was that they prepare and cook all vegetarian dishes in separate areas, meeting dietary, ethical and religious requirements!.

Yes, all my dreams have come true and I can now access this high end junk food without trying to figure out which building works are currently thwarting the difficult journey to the Bullring. I don't think the burger meat is that great but overall the taste is good, not least because you freely can select your preferred toppings. The fries are good quality, especially with the seasoning. The soft drink machine is pretty exciting I have to say. I am like a small child mixing Coke and Fanta and then some totally inappropriate flavour like vanilla. As Dave M says, this is basically just quality fast food with good service and, priced at £10.50 for the little cheeseburger/Cajun fries combo, plus soft drink, isn't for everyday but it's good for a treat.

Bottom line is that I'm gonna sit on the fence although it probably would be more in the 3.5 category if I could give it this rating. I got my burger to go and ate it on the train with a bottle of their Brooklyn lager on the way home. Overall the burger was extremely tasty with generous free extras and the onions and jalepenos really hit the spot. The only issue here was that at almost £9 for the burger, I probably could have eaten 2 - maybe 3 due to the hunger I had - the burger was pretty damn small!! I didn't get fries but my beer was also pretty warm which wasn't great. Based on the burger I'd give it a 4, but the cost and size let it down.

This has been one of our locations three times now, and I'm beginning to wonder why it's not been more. Service during the day is casual, sit where you like, here's a menu, back in 5. The food selection is BBQ tastic, and is served very similarly to the big states places, on a little red tray. Nice but small craft beer selection, nice range of cocktails and spirits. There's even PBR if you're looking for the complete USA experience. My friend always goes for the Buffalo Black burger, which I have to say is phenomenal. I've varied and gone for the brisket one, and the pulled pork meal. Sides include "loaded" chilli cheese fries - which deserve a mention on their own. Burnt ends (side of more meat please!) and 'slaw. It's all been good, I've not experienced a bad bit of food there. Price isn't bad, for two of us last time it was £45. That was for the two burgers, burnt ends, mac n cheese, chilli cheese fries, and four beers. I'd like to see something like a Nashville hot chicken plate on the menu with the BBQ stuff, but other than that, this place is wonderful. It sells all of the things I like. Bravo. I didn't even notice it was a Bitters' and Twisted place until I read it here..

This place generated a ton of buzz before the doors were opened mid November, so naturally I wanted to try it! After stalking their Facebook, it seemed the best time to grab a table and avoid long waits was right at opening. My dining partner and I turned up shortly after noon on a Saturday and were seated immediately. The first thing i noticed is how intimate the venue is. There really is only a handful of tables. We opted for our own high top table as stools aren't the most comfortable seating. The menu is simple and specific. I'd check it out ahead of time so you know what you're in for. I thought the servers were great. Timing of food, not as great. They were rammed but we were the first people sat for the afternoon so I'd expect less of a wait than 25 minutes for starters. We shared some wings and beef chili cheese fries. Now, I am from Buffalo, NY. The chicken wing capitol of the world. We invented and perfected chicken wings. Its hard to compete with our wings in this country. Back to the review, here the wings were left still attached which I kinda liked. Usually you find the drums and flats separated so this was actually a nice change up. I do think they needed more sauce. Ours were nice and crispy but dry. Overall they were a nice choice for a starter. Ooh and the cheese fries are lovely and served in a little baking tin. As for my main, I had a buttermilk chicken sandwich which was juicy and crispy goodness. The roll was a bit too hard for my liking. I left most of it on my plate. But the chicken was amazing. Random fact about me: I love pickles or gherkins as you Brits call them. It's always a nice surprise to see a place over here serving pickles. I asked for some on my sandwich and only got one tiny piece. Step up your pickle game Buffalo & Rye! I almost forgot to mention the cocktails!! Such wild and crazy concoctions here. I tried a grape fizz and red kool aid inspired drink. Grape fizz blew me away. Kool aid was a bit uninspiring. Not as sweet or flavorful as I imagined. There's also milkshakes that looked wonderful. Sadly I was too full for one. I really liked this place. Although I can't see myself visiting it as often as the other BnTs, it's still worth a pop in. Plan accordingly. It's busy!

One of my favourites (there are a lot of those too) is Mambo's Fast Food on Hurst Street, which strives to be better than your average kebab house. I have to say that I think they are doing a great job and hitting all of their targets. You can pick up a Donner Kebab alongside salad and of course chips, all for under a fiver, in fact it is priced at a surprisingly good three pounds ninety. I say surprisingly good because the quality of food here would lead you to believe that it was pricey, clearly this is not the case. Worth a special mention is the salad, as strange as that may sound when discussing a kebab house. This is because it is a lot fresher, crisper and generally tastier than your average kebab house salad. So if you fancy a kebab which is a cut above, then Mambo's is where you should take your business.

This is a breakfast review…read more I stumbled upon this place by mistake. I was just wondering around and found it, quite close to the best coffee shop in Brum, (Yorks Bakery Cafe on Colmore Row). Its nestled in amongst specialist whisky shops, the award winning Loki Wine, vintage clothes shops et al. I wasn't sure if they did a Full English breakfast - but although it looks like a deli, they do indeed offer a Full English for £4.99 (to include coffee or tea). The lady that served me was lovely, a warm smile when she took my order and when she served my coffee and breakfast. I ordered the breakfast, sat down and no more than 6 or 7 minutes later, a piping hot Full English was served, along with my coffee. The coffee was decent. The sausages were probably the cheapest I have eaten, but for the price point, I cant really argue. The bacon was pretty good, cooked perfectly. The fresh mushrooms were also cooked exactly to my liking. The breakfast also included a grilled tomato, beans as well as a perfectly cooked fried egg. And toast. 1 piece of toast. As a slight complaint, the sign on the window did say that the breakfast came with 2 pieces of toast, but do you know what, I will let them off. There was one HUGE complaint: The beans were contaminating the rest of the breakfast. We all know the rules - Beans separate! Overall, I was quite impressed. If they changed their sausages and served the beans separately, it would be a 5 star review.

The range isn't as big as some of the cheap baguette places but it's still decent enough. Cheap and cheerful.
