This was formerly Manor Care of Carlisle and has changed names. Nothing but the name has changed,…read morethe facility is still horrible. My mother has been there for rehabilitation (physical therapy) for a sciatica hospital. She was released from the hospital to this facility for that purpose. It has been horrible from day one. She is not allowed to go to the bathroom without calling a nurse - it takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours before they actually show up to take her. At one point, she went alone because she was tired of waiting. They sent a male to give her a bath and assist her in the bathroom. I understand male nurses and/or aides, but males are NOT to be one on one ALONE with females in this setting. It is no different than in a doctor's office. The food is horrible. They serve meals that look like something you serve children at a summer camp. Beans and hot dogs all mushed together and tuna sandwiches for dinner. The lady in the room with my mother say ALL DAY waiting for her bed to get made up. It was 8:30 p.m. when they finally came to do that for her. My dog is treated better at the kennel. I would not recommend this place at all.

I was told that this facility has a good reputation locally. However, my sister has been a resident…read morefor over a year now and I am not able to reach her. She no longer has a cell phone and there are no phones in the patient rooms, apparently. I have called the main number and sometimes there's no answer there on a weekend. A few times someone has answered and forwarded my call to a nursing station. But no one answers! One day I stayed on the line and it rang for over 5 minutes before I gave up and hung up. I have never been able to reach my sister! I thought that there exists a Patient Bill of Rights by law in PA which prohibits isolation -- keeping nursing home residents from having contact with the outside world. If not, this should be investigated and illegal. For this reason, I would not recommend this facility to anyone. It is wrong to not provide residents with an in-room telephone and it is wrong for the staff to not answer the phone at the nursing station. I know they're busy. But that is not an excuse. I can't even complain to the State of PA Ombudsman's office because I cannot speak on behalf of my sister because I can't reach her! Beware of this place.

I tried to get my mom help in the previous weeks and when I finally found a nurse or ordinarily they were into the computer or in the phones and when I approached them it was like why are you interrupting me. I'm busy.. then I try to tell them about my mom and got a few comments that a staff should never say and then closed it with its not my job.. I don't think anyone has a a clue what they are doing

Frontline staff I can't say enough about the above and beyond things they do for residents. I was there for several months. The PT and OT staff are exceptional. The food service is hit or miss think high school cafeteria food.

This is not a good place to send your loved ones. They are not about rehabilitation, that should be…read moreremoved from their title. My friend has been there for almost 2 years, she's only 52 years old. They are take a large amount of money from her insurance and her disability (social security) check. And they are claiming that she owe them money. They've taken an extra $9,436.00 from her when they started double dipping by pulling money from her insurance AND Disability (Social security) these people have her sharing a room and serving her some of the worse food possible. They removed her off of physical therapy , while at the same time lying saying they want her to get better. You don't remove someone from physical therapy that needs it in order to get better. This facility doesn't want you to get better that's not how it makes it's money. I'm looking into a law suit in the very close and near future. I've already contacted several lawyers none of them stand out to me yet , but as her care gets worse. I'm getting angry and I'm gonna have to choose one soon. Wish me luck! When dealing with evil people I need lots of prayer. These people only care about profits not patients.
