The gas station may the best deal in Riverview. It is located in the busiest intersections of US 301 and Bloomingdales Avenue. It is always 1 cent cheaper than it competitors. The facility is clean and nice. Well lighted at night. Security camera on the side of building to catch and illegal activities. This is 20 pumps station make it easy for the customers. I visit this Thornton's location very frequently since I work nearby. It is on the corner of a busy intersection and leaving the station can be rough if you need to turn back onto 301 going toward I-75. It is a spacious gas station in regards to space between pumps and is pretty clean. They have air and vacuums which are both for a fee. There is diesel available at most pumps and they also offer an Economy grade gas product which is cheap. Overall, the price of gas is very competitive since Wawa is within sight. Food and drink prices are comparable to other establishments. But don't expect the selection you would find at Wawa, which is on the other corner. They don't make fresh food, but you will find the usual hot dogs, taquitos and soft serve ice cream here. The reason I keep coming back to Thornton's is due to the rewards program. The card is free to sign up for and there is almost always a deal. Free chips, free soda, free ice cream, 10 cents off per gallon...you name it. You get 10 cents off of your first visit after signing up. Well worth it! My only complaint is that the lines at the registers can get long during high volume times. Everyone has their local gas station, this is mine! Usually no problems here at all just your typical gas station! But let me touch on the things most people miss! Unless you are making a right hand turn out of either of the two entrances, it's gonna be hell! It's located right on the corner of 301 and progress/Bloomingdale all very busy streets! Staff is pretty good and usually stocked with everything you need! (Other than my colt 45s, they stick them like once a month) but gas is reasonable and I suggest you get the thortons card and app! They do offer a lot! read more

They also have the hard to find dill pickle sunflower seeds which are amazing (if you like pickles!!). Here's the breakdown: Prices are good-but let's face it, when you are across the street from a Wawa, of course prices are going to be good. Place is kinda dirty near the registers. Always seems to be trash on the floor-maybe it's just because I usually pop in after work, which is around 6pm. It's always busy which isn't bad for them, of course. The cashier, Stephy or Stephany, she's always nice, gotta give her props on her kindness all considering how busy it is. Usually they are short staffed which sucks. They really need to hire a couple more reliable employees. I go there for convenience and the price is right. Other than that, if Wawa was on that side of 301, I'd rather go there. read more

The gas was cheap and they offered free drinks for the first 30 days. You can imagine how crazy it was every day. Since it has been open for over a month now it is finally a chance for me to go in. The coffee is delicious for a gas station and the sandwiches were surprinsingly good as well. I had never heard of Thornton's before so I had to check it out. This is the perfect place for a gas station, right on the the corner of 301 and an I-75 exit. If you live in the area and are getting gas it is worth going inside to see what they have to offer. I usually come here often for fuel as they have usually the lowest prices in town, they are even within a few cents of the Warehouse Clubs. Cash/ Credit same price and lots of islands are beneficial when it gets crowded. I am not usually a big Slurpee/ Icee person but with the diverse amount of flavors they offer for their Icees, unfortunately more times than not I end up leaving with a large cup of frosty flavored sugar for $.89 ( If you use your Thortonton's card for every 9 you buy , you get 1 free. Customer service is always friendly and helpful and they usually have at least 2 people behind the counter. read more

I'm a regular customer at Thorntons gas station but I bought some bad gas that made my car run very rough. I filled it up for the first time . I always keep my receipt, I told Thornton employee that the gas I bought was making my truck pull and ride uncomfortable,they replied to call corporate and corporate will hand the matter. I called corporate spoke to costumer service, and was directed to leave a message with Todd Foreman. He was gone for the day. 3/5/2017. I call the next day Todd talked so rude to me saying I'm the first person in all america to call and complain about the gas. I said Obama was the first black president. I immediately ask to speak with some higher than he. Legal department, Ms. Reeve's. Also rude, but eventually I read the receipt over the phone so she said she would get back with me and let me know what they can do so I'm waiting for that poor service they take our money proudly take our money but when they don't respect the customer for something of their product to totally disrespect the customer when it's complaint not fair at all.
