Gas stop. Located right off the highway. Easy access. Casino machines, hot foods, indoor dining area, country market area. I think it could also be a truckers station as well. Great snacks, and beverages as well. Nancy was my cashier , friendly and welcoming. Building clean and clear of clutter. Came here on my way to St. Louis to get some gas, I'm very happy I stumbled upon this place place because it is very accommodating. It must be recently built too from the looks of it. Tons of gas pumps for automobiles and plenty for big rigs too! Inside, the clerks are really friendly and there's multiple entrances and desks to accommodate both truckers and automobile sides. They have healthy snack options, bathrooms, showers, gambling machines. A wide variety of munchies, drinks. Very well organized and well stocked. Prices are a bit higher than most but definitely not a disappointment. read more

Stop here at least 10 to 12 times a year on the way back and forth to St. Louis. Mile marker 126. Place is always clean plenty of food and plenty of gas pumps. Everyone that works there is extremely polite and helpful. I doubt there are any JB supporters working here. read more

Only place you can gas up, get amazing coffee, greeting cards, jewelry, red velvet cake, yogurt parfait, a fresh sub sandwich, inner tubes, ratchets, rims, maxi dresses and propane. I was just at this Thorntons/Pilot in Lincoln Il! First of all let me say I walk with the Lord! He has seen me through some tough times! And i am walking upright pretty good! So when I see someone that is in need I feel it is my Christian responsibility to help my fellow Brother under the Lords Eyes!!! And this guy asked nothing from me! He was just commenting on my motorcycle and having conversation! At this time the Lord told me he is hungry and I need to feed him! So I did as I was told and handed him some money! Well evidently Pam the clerk was watching and at this time came out and berated this gentlemen! She treated this man like a piece of garbage! As a Christian it is our responsibility to step up and feed the hungry and help he needy! This lady needs to be fired! Her act of belittling this unfortunate man in front of alll these people was so disrespectful! I never wanted to take the garbage out like I felt today! Her act makes her so much less of a human being than the gentlemen I was having conversation with! I am a owner operator! I use to stop at this Pilot twice a week for fuel! Thats $1400 at today's prices! After seeing the way they treat the unfortunate at their establishment I will not be stopping here anymore! Easy on and easy off from highway. Large convenience store with plenty of choices of pre made sandwiches versus fresh made to order foods. Bathroom was very large. Front area by sinks was clean and fresh, but back by the toilets- several stalls were out of paper and one was backed up. Staff was informed and they headed right in to correct the situation. Would have done 4 stars except I had to have one of my kids get me TP and it was a dual dispenser and BOTH were out- thus had been empty for awhile. I would give them another chance though. read more

Holy truck-stop! And I say truck-stop, because they are now affiliated with Pilot/Flying J and you can get fuel here if need be. There are a ton of fueling lanes and I'm pretty sure I didn't see a single truck having to wait in line behind a lazy butt who won't pull forward. I'll admit, after seeing a Subway at every freaking truck-stop from New York to Texas, I was bummed when I saw that Thornton's offered Sub-Works. I was overjoyed to see that they offer Subway style burritos and that you're able to use your own personal kiosk instead of dealing with a grumpy attendant. You can choose steak or chicken and add any kind of condiments or vegetables that your heart desires. (We chose jalapenos, banana peppers, olives, onions, sour cream, and bacon.) It was excellent! They also offer a plethora of cold sandwiches, cheese, fresh fruit, hot and mild pickles, puddings, mini cakes, burritos, and breakfast sandwiches. Options for filling your cooler, aplenty! They also offered four kinds of coffee, any fountain drink you could want for .89$, and my personal favorite, the Fizz Freez. (It's like an ICEE but better and they had Mountain Dew, Cherry, and Wildberry flavors). The bathrooms were clean and both attendants I dealt with were kind and patient. I didn't get to try out the showers or park overnight but there did seem to be plentiful parking. I'm looking forward to stopping here again. One of the better "Pilots". read more

On a recent weeknight, the gasoline price here was about 3% less than at I-55 exit #160 Market St. in Bloomington. Ceramic-tiled restroom very clean. With powerful hand dryers echoing off the tile, it was very loud too. If you need to fill up your tank, it's worth your time to stop at Thornton. read more
