She is a nice lady , but doesn't tolerate anyone's ignorance, she moves the line and I like that

I use this post office frequently for my small online shop but have been driving further away to another office because the clerk is so rude and unprofessional. She is curt and irritated with every single person I have seen interact with her, even the sweetest cutest little old ladies. She doesn't seem to have much emotional regulation so I don't want to say anything to her and risk her escalating it and getting aggressive. I almost never ever complain about anything or anyone, I understand life is stressful sometimes and we are all going thru personal challenges, but she makes me dread my visits to the post office. I hope she gains some self awareness and understanding to adjust her treatment of others. She is insufferable read more

There is a different woman there who is just as ignorant as the previous one. I bought stamps in December and had to mail a very important letter. I handed it to her and asked if she could mail it and she pointed at a box next to her and said "put it in there." So I did. Guess what, it never made it. Went back there today to re-mail the same letter. I asked for specifics and she had a smart mouth attitude again. She is beyond rude. I told her I need a tracking because the last thing I mailed from the post office was stolen and I wanna make sure it gets there this time.. She said "don't take that out on me ". What?????? I said "i put it in the box you told me to put it in and it never made it there." You wonder why the post office is failing and people choose to go with FedEx and UPS, it's because of the ignorant employees. If you hate your job, get a new job, don't treat people like shit just because you're miserable. read more

Post office locked. Says its "open online". Hours posted 8:30-12:30 pm. No sign for changes. Tried to call the customer service number....WOW, what a waste of time. read more

The women working today was unfriendly, rude, sarcastic and clearly having a bad day. She doesn't deserve a job working with people.

The clerks there are sarcastic and arrogant, and have always been that way. They don't deserve to have a Government job. In the future I will drive to Downingtown or Coatesville rather than put up with that abuse. I hope whoever is in charge of them sees this, but I am sure nothing will happen. read more

Besides some of the employees being very rude, I have mailed cards from that post office and they either never arrive to the destination or they're two weeks late. That's unacceptable. I'm going somewhere else from now on. read more

There is an older lady postal worker (at Thorndale, and as an occasional fill in at Downingtown, PA) that is so mean, you should either use the other line, or run for the hills. She is legendary among her co-workers as they all hate her, and if you mention her, they will say, "I know who you mean" You will know her by her condescending voice as she sounds like Madiera teaching the little boy to say "Thank You" in the Tyler Perry movie. I have personally helped many of her customers (since I've had years in doing shipping for eBay) to find the best shipping methods,as she takes pride in lack of information, making sure customers pay too much, or making them step away to sign a form that is needed, that she didn't tell them was needed in the first place. I have answered postal policy questions, helped others to find forms for their shipments, and explained the difference between priority flat rate boxes, vs. customer supplied priority box, vs First class weight cut-offs as well as expected service times, mind you as a customer, since it is so pathetically ugly watching her berate and disrespect everyone from young ladies to senior citizens. She has her certain customers, but that probably won't be you, as they leave you will see her turn on the condescending, "I'm better than you" and blank you attitude. I'm so nice to her, over and over, and she is horrible back, I tried many times, thought I could turn her into a human, but to no avail. Please USPS, put her in the back room where she cant do damage to your customer base. Or is that the objective? read more

I live in Thorndale but drive to Downingtown so as not to have to deal w the nasty, hateful woman who's always in the post office in Thorndale. I've tolerated her for yrs bc I live so close, but I've finally reached my limit of being spoken to w contempt & of being treated like I'm a piece of gum stuck to her shoe. Downingtown is much nicer in every respect. read more

Hours are wrong. Lobby closes for an hour each day from 1-2pm, though this is not anywhere online.

Lady inside was absolutely miserable and rude. She didn't want to answer any questions. I was in there less than 30 seconds

The woman who waited on me on November 12th was so miserable. If you don't like your job quit. Don't take your misery out on the customer.

How is it possible that there is not a review already on this PO? This is the WORST post office I've ever been in! Unfriendly, backward personnel at the windows. The one exception being the deep voiced guy who fills in once in awhile. He's great. The African American woman has zero manners. Zero personality. She points and growls at the screens when she wants to show you something. Take a little pride in your work lady! This is especially noticeable when not 4 miles away in Downingtown EVERYONE is pleasant and friendly. I sent four registered letters recently. Online it tells me they were delivered but I can't see the signatures. The woman referenced above tells me I didn't ask for a return receipt. HOW WOULD I KNOW THAT WHEN IT WASN'T EXPLAINED TO ME! I assumed that was always the case because I don't send registered letters often. This woman needs remedial training in customer service. Of course, that won't happen because she's a civil servant. Can't be fired or reprimanded. So all I can do is point out her shortcomings here. It's not my fault you hate your life and your job lady. read more
