In the case that Chris represented me for, he literally got a larger pay out then I did. I have a lifelong spinal injury. He doesn't care. I highly recommend you do not work with him under any circumstances.

If you are reading this review, then you are probably seriously considering Gegenheimer to be your…read moreattorney. You are also probably in a very sticky situation and you need someone strong and experienced to set things right. Look no further---Gegenheimer is THE ONE. And, let me just say this: yes, his fees are quite high. Our family spent many thousands of dollars on our particular custody case, and IT WAS WORTH EVERY CENT. You know the old saying? "You get what you pay for." In Gegenheimer's case, that saying couldn't be more true. You really have to see Gegenheimer in action to fully appreciate his professionalism. And, he won't put you on the stand cold turkey, either. You will spend quite a fair amount of time with him going over every single detail of your situation. He will also train you in what to expect (and what not to expect) and in what to say. If you want someone who will coddle you and tell you everything is going to be alright, Gegenheimer isn't the one for you. He gets straight to the heart of the matter and squeezes the life force out of the person you are up against. I love to hear my friend talk about Gegenheimer. She says, "He is very unassuming, and I thought he was just another shark. When I saw him in court, I was really impressed! Her ex's attorney was cheap and you could tell he hadn't been an attorney for very long." Don't ever doubt Gegenheimer for one second. He knows all about the different judges you will deal with, and he is a good judge of other attorneys. He really does know what he is doing!

There's a reason Sam is the #1 result when I searched for a divorce lawyer on Yelp…read more I went to Sam after my (not quite) ex-husband had been procrastinating filing our divorce for far longer than I'm willing to admit. I left him a message and he called me back the same day, even after business hours. We discussed my situation and he asked all the right questions to keep the conversation informative and efficient. He was very honest that I was almost finished and that I could very easily have finished everything myself. I appreciated his honesty (and he wasn't pushy about it) and felt even more sure of hiring him. He was able to schedule to meet me first thing the next day. In his office, we went over everything again once more for clarity. He reiterated that the process was already almost complete and I could have easily completed it on my own without him (just to make sure he was being very transparent), but to me it was worth hiring him just to make it not my problem anymore. We filled out a few pieces of paper and then I was on my way. Sam was able to get me into the courthouse the following Monday (rushing there on his own electric scooter). I went from hiring him on Wednesday evening to having a finalized divorce Monday morning. His empathy, sense of urgency, professionalism, and responsiveness made me wish I had hired him a year ago instead of waiting on my lazy ex-husband. If you're in the market for a divorce lawyer, you can't do better than Sam.
