    Beware of a lawyer name Byron Loewen in this firm. Very expensive, hidden costs and charge you…read moreevery nickel and dime but did not do a single thing to represent you. He even withheld my money without notifying me. He charged me $45/email and one of the email content is just to setup and appointment to meet with him. He also charged me email between him and my realtor. His admin sent the documents to my "sold" address instead of my new one. It will be a nightmare and cost you an arm and a leg if you use this lawyer.

    We chose this firm to represent the lender (BDC) in our recent real estate transaction. We…read morepreviously used Gowlings in past transaction but found them expensive so decided to use Miles Davison instead. We dealt with Jason Collins and the transaction was painful. He required all sorts of information that was not required before. When questioned about this, he said it's his firm's policy to require additional information that is not required by the lender. Understand that the buyer gets to pay for the legal fees while Jason peruses additional unnecessary information. Then the buyer gets to pay for the legal fees for the other lawyer to prepare the information for Jason's perusal. Who doesn't love paying double legal fees unnecessarily? Also, the requests for additional info delayed the funding and dramatically increased the stress involved in what should have been a simple transaction. And the invoice was MUCH higher than Gowlings. DO NOT USE this firm for real estate transactions.
