I was under the impression that they had to send our title to our HOA but after speaking with Jeff he clarified that land titles is not only running behind, but that they typically don't send that off to anyone but the home owner. He pulled our title and emailed me a copy right away. There was also some miscommunication between the sellers of the house and their lawyers regarding city tax payment, resulting in us being charged a penalty for late payments (payments that were due before we took possession). When I discussed this with Jeff he said that he would look into this further as it seems their paperwork was correct and the sellers were supposed to have paid for the month. Jeff called me back right away to confirm this was the case and is working with the other law office to get us reimbursed. I did have some issues with phone calls not being returned, but after speaking with Jeff he informed me that our contact there had been on holidays and apologized for any lack of communication on their end. I am quite impressed with Jeff and his desire to ensure good customer service. I really appreciate his taking the time to clarify some misunderstandings and to help me better grasp what their role is in the process of securing our home.

She held back $2500.00 for a survey needed on our house we were selling. After 7 months she has not returned the remainder of our money. On the day we got our new house she had not transferred the funds for that house. On possession day we were not able to get a hold of her. After calling for three hours she finally picked up her phone. She had told us over and over that she is looking into returning our money. She has no staff on phones to take messages and refuses to answer emails, phone calls, or texts. She is the worse lawyer ever. We have bought and sold a few homes and have never experienced this before. I say DO NOT USE HER EVER!!!!! She is keeping the amounts under a certain number so that she can only be sued in small claims court. I would give her zero stars if they had that on here. We have put in a complaint with the LAW SOCIETY OF ALBERTA. We really hope that they are able to do something to protect others from being scammed by her.

Seemed like such a nice guy, but was not impressed with all the added in costs that we never talked about and had been told they were covered in the fees already agreed upon. They make so many mistakes that it will surprise you, and come up with a story to put the blame on somebody else!! The seller was responsible to remedy the deficiencies as a condition of the sale. The seller failed to remedy anything and Weeks was wholly uninterested in supporting me to uphold the purchase agreement. After months of useless responses from Diane, I was forced by city inspectors to remedy the problems myself at a cost of over $20,000. If you want good legal guidance, steer clear of Weeks.
