Problem began when I changed my home internet and changed my password. Several things in the house needed to be reset , phones TVs, alarm system and yes the generator. I was able to accomplish resetting all the devices to my new internet except the generator. It functions, still does weekly tests but i have no connectivity for remote monitoring nor can Kohler monitor my generator's activity. Called and spoke with Browning they sent me a link to a 4 minute video that was not very clear and at the end actually failed to change the password for the instructor so that was useless. Called back to Browning and they said they could send a technician to reset the password but there would be $100 fee! Which I don't think I should have to pay. Spoke with Brent Browning who said he wouldn't send anybody out without the $100 fee, however when they come in July to do annual maintenance he'll be happy to reset it then for no fee. He basically said because I had created the problem that I couldn't expect him to fix it for free. While he is correct that I created the problem by changing internet provider, there should be a user friendly way for me to change the password for the generator. And I think he owes me that. The ability to remotely monitor the generator's activity and tests is a huge perk. And unless the Kohler national hotline can help me. I guess I'll have to wait until July to enjoy that (6 months from now!) Service after the sale has always been an important factor in my purchasing decision. After this I don't feel that my satisfaction is very important to Brent or Browning Power systems

Brent Browning, of Browning Power Systems, LLC was the only one of three to answer my phone call directly. I ended up having four of the companies give me estimates. Mr. Browning's estimate was competitive, but much more importantly I was impressed by his professionalism, knowledge, and demeanor. Over the course of a couple of months Brent always either directly answered my calls or returned them promptly. He helped walk me through the process of getting my gas meter upgraded for the Generac install, and what to expect from Consumers Energy's requirements for the installation, etc. The day of the installation Brent and his crew were at the house promptly at the agreed upon date, and time and the installation went smoothly, and efficiently. Browning Power System, LLC's entire installation crew were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. Having a Generac install is not just about the installation, but also the reliability, and competency of the maintenance of the Generac, and I am highly confident that Browning Power Systems LLC was, and is the right choice for this product, and service. I could not be more satisfied with Brent, his crew, and his company.

When I have spoke to Jimmy and for him to come out and explain how much I would save and how much I could reduce the mean energy company from getting my money was worth the effort. To have him look at what the other companies were trying to sell me and being honest on what i should get this made tons of sense. I just can't wait to have them install my new panels and start to take control of my energy cost. I'm looking forward to see what the future holds. I would highly recommend them any day of the week. I will update once everything is done. So second update. The panels were installed on September 30th and it looks great. Jimmy texted me to let me know what time I should expect the installers to show up. He even informed me that he would show up him self a little bit latter in the day to check on everything. They started around 9am in the morning. They introduced themselves to me and let me know what they were going to do and what to expect. As the day progressed they kept me informed and also were awesome to show me what they were doing and asking if I had questions on anything. My kids were watching them through the windows and everyone was so cool that they waved and smiled at my kids. Jimmy even showed up talked to me and what was really cool was to see that the owner had brought everyone lunch. They finished up around 5ish and picked up all of there stuff and made my place look like it was when they left. By far this was a awesome experience with the owner and the crew. To see everyone happy and enjoying there work that they do is amazing. Thank you guys for everything you have done for my family. I will highly recommend you to everyone I know.

    Story of the furnace: It was blowing cold air. We would have to turn it off for 30 seconds, then…read moreturn it back on. It would then blow warm air until it hit the right temp. Once it turned off and got cold again. It would then kick on with cold air. So we would repeat the process. We called Answer H & C who said they could come out immediately and look at it. Which I was grateful and the reason for an extra star. Once they started looking at the furnace, within minutes said it was because of our smart thermostat and the power adapter. They said we needed a new one. Which not knowing much about furnaces I took their professional opinion on it. I contacted the smart thermostat company and they said with the problem we were having is not due to their product. They wanted us to get something in writing from the heating and cooling company. Which we did not get in the first place. So I decided to contact a different company to see if they would tell me the same thing. Once again within second of taking off the panel, they saw some O ring that shouldn't be laying there in plain sight, and said we have a bigger problem. After taking 30-45 minutes inspecting the furnace they found we had a huge crack in our heat intake I believe they said it was. Which could cause carbon monoxide poising. By the state of Michigan they had to shut our heat off. Which this was the coldest week we have had so far. They showed me on the camera where the crack was and actually ended up finding two. We ended up going with that company for a new furnace since they were able to bump us up ahead of schedule within a couple days. Long story short, it seems like the Answer gentleman that came out did not want to work to hard and he realistically could have caused us more harm not fully inspecting the furnace. I was upset we paid $150 for him to come out and put the blame on the smart thermostat within 5 minutes of being there. Only reason I gave an extra star was the time frame they came out. If he would have inspected it and found the same crack I am sure we would have immediately went with them for our new furnace. Now I will look else where whenever needing any other service done.
