I was transparent with him and his nurses about the trauma I had endured, including being abandoned by an ex-partner because of my physical appearance, and I made it clear that this surgery was my attempt to finally heal after the death of my mother and get me life back. I put my total trust in his hands to fix the crease and areolas I came to him for; instead, his care resulted in physical deformity and a total breach of professional conduct. He took my money, ignored my specific surgical goals, and left me more broken than when I arrived. The Physical Facts and Deformity I paid nearly $5,000 specifically for a nipple papule procedure. Instead, my nipple literally fell off in the shower. For months, I sent emails in distress after my surgery before my nipple went down the drain. I was terrified. When I asked for even a partial refund for this $5,000 failure, he refused. Deformity & Scarring: My stomach and breasts still appear as "one piece," as do my back and buttocks now. I paid for a butt lift and I am now left with a deep "ditch" crease extending from my butt crack to my mid-back. It is tight, hideous to look at, and painful. I had a curvy physique before, and now I am flat. Beyond that, I have painful "black popcorn" rugged scars that did not exist before. They are jagged and ugly, extending under my armpit and to my back. My previous incisions were smooth and neat. He kept saying it would be you but better. I am not better, it is worse. Failed Revision: My areolas, werent moved or lowered, which is something I specifically paid for. He kept saying it was improved, but they are in the exact same spot . After a follow-up, he saw me in the hallway and said, "At least they look good with your clothes on." He said it with a smile like he was proud. I sent him a picture of me in office attire with one nipple sitting near my collarbone, poking through my shirt on a Zoom call. It was so embarrassing. I wondered why people were looking at me like that. You can see it sitting way up high in the photo--right breast high, and no nipple on the left. I can't wear office clothes without feeling humiliated. I close my eyes when passing mirrors because I can't bear to look at myself. Unprepared Post-Op I was sent home with surgical drains despite no prior disclosure or care instructions. I was just given a bag full of stuff I didn't understand. I was so lost and confused after my surgery, having no idea what to do with the drains. Now, he has "divorced" me. He emailed me the consent form to release my records at his request, not mine. Because I am on HRT (hormones) and need mammograms, I am now left without a physician to consult with my gynecologist for these necessary cancer screenings. He took my money and left me with medical risks. The Professional Conduct and Verbal Aggression At my six-month checkup in October 2025, it wasn't getting better. He told me to wait until May 2026 for another revision and marked my body again, showing where he would make incisions between my breasts--an area he admitted surgeons normally avoid. He was willing to scar me further even though he admitted the crease was "destroyed" and the surgery wouldn't fix my problem. He insisted I pay even more money for this, despite my nipples falling off. He even made it about himself, complaining that his bills were going when I asked him for at least a partial refund. I sent an email to his office manager asking again for a refund, she had me make an appointment with Dr. Wendel. I did and took my 80 yr old Vietnam veteran dad with me for support. Dr. Wendel was verbally aggressive and yelled: "I don't care how many family members you bring up there, I'm not giving you your money back." AND I QUOTE. He then stormed off. Before the surgery, he was shaking my dad's hand and thanking him for his service. To treat my father that way? My dad did nothing but try to support his daughter. Any parent would.I wouldn't expect a second-class basement mechanic to behave that way, let alone a physician. Conclusion I signed consent forms while nurses called him the "boob whisperer" and told me I could trust him. As a Christian and fellow woman, I trusted them. I have worn a bra 24/7 for nearly a year because he made me believe the crease might form that way, knowing it wasn't true. He told me my crease was destroyed when I came to him so if it was destroyed, why would he take 25k from me? He told me I should be "glad" he took my case and that no other doctor would touch me, which is a lie. Another doctor said they could help, but I can't get the surgery because Dr. Wendel refuses a refund. He keeps saying "it's improved." It's not improved. It's changed, but changed doesnt mean better. I am deformed, humiliated, and out of my life savings.

Both surgeries were successful with no complications. He and his staff (including physical therapy) were very caring and it was obvious that my health was their No. 1 priority. My down time and physical therapy were very minimum. I do not have a scar on either hand indicating where the surgeries were performed. Even other medical professionals question the incision location on my hands. My third surgery performed by Dr. Coogan was in November of 2015. I had trigger finger surgery. My stitches were removed six days after surgery and my incision looks really good. It appears physical therapy will not be necessary. Even after 15 years he has the same nurse working directly with him. It was reassuring to me that she would be assisting him with my needs. She is always professional and pleasant with a smile on her face. I feel blessed to have a doctor of his quality. I came in with a lot of questions on my iPad, I didn't feel rushed at all and all of my questions were answered. I came in a couple of more times work questions and each time, Dr. Ingram was present and answered them. We settled on my surgery date, Nov. 6. Since this was the COVID era, my pretest did include a COVID test. The day of my surgery, I got my prescriptions (friend got them filled) and Dr. Ingram came in, did some markings and then nurse did her thing and I woke up with amazing boobs. At no fault to my surgeon, I developed a capsular contracture. During this time, Dr. Ingram had started his own practice and I tracked him down. We tried treatment (medication), but to no avail. I opted for surgery again. Not only did he repair the capsular contracture, I decided to go bigger (initially a 600cc saline and went to 770cc silicone). When I tell you my breasts are perfect! Everyone loves them! I can't recommend Dr. Ingram enough! I'm sending him everyone that has the idea of a breast augmentation! Dr. Ingram knows what he's doing when it comes to breast. They sit perfect without a bra, I have the best cleavage, and I don't have any weird scars! Hands down, the best money spent! If I chose to do anything else, he's my doctor for life now! Dr. Ingram is personable, professional, and very informative!! Hands down, I'm glad I initially went to him and I'm glad I stayed with him! I completely trust him with my body, my health, and my life! He also has new best staff! Diane is AMAZING!!!! I want to give him 10 stars, but 5 is the most they'll let me give him.

I had to have 2 surgeries and was left with a worst result than what I initially came in for. I went in for a reduction as I was unhappy with the unevenness and aesthetics of my breasts. After my first surgery, literal string (what was supposed to be the PERMANENT stitching) starting coming out of my breast to where you could just pull it out. Stitches popped despite following after care instructions to a tee, I had holes in my tissue, and Ingram said I was one of the few cases who happened to be allergic to the suture. This left me with heinous results. He offered to repair using different materials. I very regrettably let him revise after he insisted he could repair and leave me with the results I was looking for. He was lying through his teeth. My breasts look worse than ever before, than what I initially even went in for. The second time, another stitch popped and I was completely brushed off after bringing it to their attention and told it was nothing to worry about. I'm now left with a huge scar in this area. I'm left with horrid heinous uneven scarring in general all around my breast. When I went to get my stitches taken out the second surgery, I passed out from the pain. I fell into the chair and right after I came to, they just left the room. They literally just left me in there alone. It was the most bizarre experience I've ever had with a doctor. No one stayed with me to make sure I was okay, there were no apologies, and they never once checked in with me after that appointment. I went through surgery to be botched not once, but twice by the same doctor. I wish he was more transparent that this wasn't the surgery for him to complete as he clearly did not have the skills to execute like he said he did. I went in to my first surgery hopeful and excited after meeting with Ingram. After my experiences and the constant daily visual I have of complete disappointment, I urge you to not make the same mistake I did.

I'm writing to share my experience and offer suggestions to improve patient care at your facility. MRI Scheduling & Results: Scheduling an MRI and meeting with the doctor on the same day is ineffective if the doctor doesn't have the results available. It wastes both the patient's and provider's time. Please consider adjusting scheduling protocols so results are ready and available before the consultation. Visual MRI Review: It should be standard practice for doctors to review MRI scans with patients using visual comparisons to prior scans. This helps the patient clearly understand any changes in tumor size or progression. Medication & Supplement Tracking: It's frustrating to be asked what medications and supplements I take when these are prescribed or documented by your team. There should be a centralized, up-to-date record that can be easily reviewed and updated each visit, rather than relying on patient recall every time. MRI Machine Availability: Having broken MRI machines and forcing terminally ill patients to wait weeks for rescheduling is unacceptable. There must be sufficient equipment or contingency plans in place to ensure timely scans for patients with critical needs. Nutrition Awareness: Offering candy and sugary treats in a cancer treatment facility is highly inappropriate. Sugar fuels many forms of cancer, and handing it out is akin to offering a cigarette to a lung cancer patient. Please reconsider the nutritional options you provide in the waiting areas. I share this feedback not to criticize but to advocate for better patient care. I would be happy to speak directly with your team to help improve the patient experience at Tennessee Oncology. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Joe Fiore
