This is the hotel I walked to in Portofino, Italy from the harbor. I couldn't have done that prior to the procedure!

July 25, 2023 I am very pleased to write a favorable review for Dr. Jason Tucker and his team. For over 20 years I have suffered with chronic right hip pain. By procedure time, I had been diagnosed with a moderately severe arthritic hip. Hip catching/pain, hip girdle aching, sharp pains down my leg, limping, and sometimes "dragging" of my leg had become my way of life. No longer was I able to take long walks, run, bike, hike, or garden without severe consequences. NSAIDS and steroid shots were recommended by my orthopedic doctor, and I was put on notice that a hip replacement was in my future. With stage 3 kidney disease (Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) of 46) since 2007, I knew surgery needed to be done, but I was holding off till I qualified for medicare which I did last year. However, being an RN and knowing the risks of surgery and having no desire to amputate my hip joint, I was dragging my feet (literally) and therefore, was open to my sister's suggestion of stem cell treatment. A close friend of hers had a successful outcome after visiting Dr. Tucker and with her encouragement I had many phone calls with Tara (a gem) who scheduled an in-office consultation with Dr. Tucker. He was upfront in saying he thought he could get me at least 70 percent better, but also let me know there was a possibility it might not work. As a nurse I knew with any procedure there are risks, but if I had a bad outcome with a hip replacement, stem cells would not be an option according to Dr. Tucker. If the stem cells failed, a hip replacement would still be available. Fortunately, I had the finances to pursue stem cells, and how happy I am with my choice. I am 10 months post procedure and for the most part free of pain. In fact, I wake up many mornings in disbelief that I am not having that familiar achey hip pain and am so very thankful. I am now able to garden, take long walks, start biking again, and drive long distances comfortably and pain free. I have virtually taken no pain meds since about one week after the first treatment. The second fertilizer treatment was much easier, and I only needed pain meds a few days. I would guess I am well over 70 percent better, maybe 85 percent. I am still in rehab mode increasing my exercise and activity gradually and do experience some discomfort some days (not enough for a pain pill) so I go easy the next day to recover. I expect to continue to get stronger and stronger because that is what Dr. Tucker expects and so far he has been right on. The biggest BONUS of all is my GFR is now 63 which is in the normal range! I never dreamed that along with my successful hip outcome that my kidneys would bounce back to normal function. What a wonderful and surprising outcome! Dr. Tucker and his team are professional, friendly, and down to earth, good people who will take wonderful care of you and stay in touch afterwards. Patience is key, but the end result is well worth taking an alternative approach!

When my knee got to the point of needing treatment, I made the regretful decision to have it done at a cheaper stem cell clinic in the Charlotte area.

STAR Physical Therapy really helped me get back into running shape again. After a nerve issue in my…read moreback affected my leg this summer I decided to see if physical therapy could help to ease my pain so I could run normally again. Andi, Jamie, Ken and Kaitlyn were able to work their physical therapy magic on me for a couple of months and I am happy to say that I am now back on track and training for a half marathon in one month. If it wasn't for the exercises, stretching and traction that they provided me with during my appointments I don't think that I would have gotten better on my own. Thanks so much to Theresa and Hannah for coordinating all of my appointments and I know that if I have any more issues that Physical Therapy can help with that I would definitely go back to STAR Physical Therapy in Lebanon!

He worked with me through the pain; gently pushing me when I needed it and letting areas heal when they weakened. I never thought I would get back to a normal life, but For the most part I have. He graduated me right on schedule with a home program for the rest of the way. Also, the entire staff is very friendly to its patients and each other. That positive energy encourages us to stay positive as well. I have a pet peeve of being late and they were ALWAYS on time. Highly recommend.
