Upper cervical chiropractic has been my go-to solution for nearly 40 years. It first helped me find relief from migraines when nothing else seemed to work, and since then I've relied on it to help manage the inevitable falls, injuries, accidents, and daily stresses that life brings. Over the years I've tried many different approaches, but upper cervical chiropractic has consistently worked best for me. Because of that, it's always the first type of chiropractor I look for. My experience with Dr. Polucki and his Santa Clarita chiropractor office in Newhall has been excellent. The staff is warm, welcoming, and professional. Dr. Polucki is gentle, thorough, understanding, and effective in his approach. After moving from another state, I needed to find a chiropractor that I could trust. Dr. Polucki is a gem. read more

For the past 18 years, I dealt with nerve pain from my back into my leg that never seemed to go away. I saw multiple doctors, and even a surgeon told me it likely wouldn't improve. Eventually, I found a Santa Clarita chiropractor, Dr. Polucki. I originally came in for something else, and there were no big promises--just a clear approach and attention to how my body was responding. Since working with him, the nerve pain has significantly improved to the point where it's no longer affecting my daily life. After so many years of dealing with it, that was something I honestly didn't expect. read more

I've been a chiropractic patient for 40 years, so I know what to look for. One of the first things I noticed with Dr. Polucki was that I was walking straighter without even trying. Even my daughter noticed the difference. That told me early on that this was exactly what my body needed. I also feel stronger, more stable, and more confident in the way I move. read more

Very friendly staff we found this place in search of curing my wife's vertigo. They don't deal with insurance so I had to pay out of pocket up front. Now searching to cure her back so we start all over again. read more

Several specialists confirmed that I have Ménière's disease and there's little to no hope of ever getting better. The medication's and hearing aid didn't help much, and I was losing hope of ever hearing right or feeling balanced again. I found some information about upper cervical chiropractic online and how it might help Meniere's disease . And then I found out that there is an upper cervical chiropractor right here in Santa Clarita . So I made an appointment got the exam and was referred to get a 3-D CAT scan of my upper neck . When Dr. POLUCKI went over the results with me, I could see the problem and felt comfortable with letting him try to help me . I felt a wave of relief on the very first treatment and within a few weeks, the dizziness, the ringing in the ears, and my hearing has improved 95% . I wouldn't have believed it, unless I experienced it . I hope this helps anyone who is looking for an alternative to endless medication without any real improvement . I now have my life back. My hearing is almost completely better and I don't have any vertigo anymore. read more

I have been dealing with sciatica nerve pain from an old military injury. The pain can be very extreme, and has left me in the hospital on two separate occasions as the disk presses on the nerves and becomes unbearable. Several months ago, I had to have my pregnant wife drive me to Henry Mayo, as I could not drive myself. Last year, I decided to try a chiropractor and went with a national company here in the SCV. It was a cookie cutter approach and left a bad taste in my mouth. I cancelled and did not go back. It did not feel right. In desperation, and while depressed due to my injury, I read a link online and saw Dr. Polucki's information. He came highly regarded in the SCV. I gave him a call and came in a bit pessimistic and skeptical. The doctor gave me an extended consult and I decided to invest my time and energy into a three month treatment plan. I am about six weeks in, and a million times better with no sciatica. It feels great to be back, thank you Dr. Polucki. If you have a herniated disk or back pain, you got to see this guy. read more

Since I started working with Dr. Polucki, just a few weeks ago, I am sleeping better. I am able to move better. The pain doesn't wake me up at night anymore and I love that he doesn't twist or crack my neck like other chiropractors.. I was in a car accident many years ago went to a chiropractor and it didn't help and I felt like it might've actually been making me worse so I stayed away for years . But the pain kept getting worse, and was interfering with my sleep, and even my ability to climb stairs, because the head pain traveled all the way to my feet . When I saw Dr. Poluckis reviews online and that he didn't twist or crack like other chiropractors, I decided to give him a try, and I felt almost immediate relief . I only wish that I found out that some chiropractors don't twist or crack many years ago because I could've avoided a lot of sleepless nights. read more

It took me a long time to find what I was looking for online. But I went to my doctors had physical therapy and after a year of suffering I still had back pain and vertigo whenever I turn my head to my right. Even during the evaluation I was able to sit pain-free which I haven't been able to do for over a year. I've been to chiropractors in the past that just cracked me the same way every time whether it was working or not. Same routine every time. But my friend John recommended that I go see Dr. Polucki. I liked that he listened to me and we worked through a process where he pinpointed my pain points, and was able to start giving me immediate relief. And even though I have some pretty serious injuries in my neck and lower back, the treatments, continue to give me more and more relief as we go along . I feel comfortable recommending Dr. Polucki just like my friend John did for me. Because this doctor listens to your problems and works with you to solve them. read more

I'm extremely grateful to have met Dr Polucki. For 2 years I had been having intense head pressure, migraines, TMJ pains, brain fog, and neck crepitus among other things. I had had terrible insomnia for the same 2 years and have been to a neurologist, physical therapist, a more traditional chiropractor, acupuncturist/TCM practitioner, and TMJ dentists. All of them did not have answers for me; it turns out that my issues were very layered. An undiagnosed/poorly treated neck sprain, muscles out of alignment, and a nervous system that was fighting 24/7 among other issues. Several visits later, I have most of my life back. I sleep much more easily and wake rested, my pain is much more manageable while being less than a third through the treatment plan, my posture is better and I'm learning to practice new lifestyle habits that will hopefully maintain the results. For those with TMJ, it is a complex disorder that affects the whole body, and in my case it seems to be highly muscular in nature and thus Dr. Polucki was able to really help. And for those who require neck and back treatments, Dr. Polucki's treatment does not crack or twist the neck in any way, leading me to feel extremely safe and comfortable with the visits. read more

I've been dealing with some pretty painful neck/shoulder/TMJ issues over the last several years. I finally decided to research chiropractors in my area who specialize in this area of the body. After my first appointment I knew I was going to be receiving my care with Dr. Polucki. He spent SO much time with me at the first appointment to determine what my needs are and to be honest with me about trying to determine whether or not he could help me and in a reasonable time frame. He is so super concerned with quality of life and not simple quick fixes, which of course I've been used to with all the ibuprofen and neck cracking. I've been going for a few weeks now and am experiencing some amazing relief already! He's also given me some tools to use at home in my own work and life environments. I'm excited to see the various areas of my life that will be improved under his care. :) read more

I decided to try out a chiropractor; keep in mind I've never been to one, and honestly didn't know what to expect. I twisted my neck at work, and thought what better to try one out than when you're in pain. I called the office, and they told me they could fit me in at 11:30. The building is in the far back building on Peachland St. in Newhall around where the Post Office is. It's a lower level room in a larger building with several other assorted small businesses. The main room was comfortable, with a couple receptionists who greeted me as I entered the room. I only waited about five minutes or so before the chiropractor welcomed me into his room. A conversation ensued that felt like a hybrid between a job interview and speaking to a car salesman. The breakdown of the conversation was his attempt to set expectations toward what I wanted to get out of this appointment. I told him quite clearly that I saw a check-in offer on yelp, he had good reviews, and I'd give the place a shot; oh yeah, and can you please relieve the pain in my back (or my reason for setting up the appointment). We came to an agreement after sometime, that he could help with the pain. He told me that because I mentioned yelp (and I would gather he's had some run-ins with patrons from yelp before) he would give me the yelp price. I was taken to a room where they did tests; what I gathered were to see exactly how much pain I was in and how moveable I was at that time. After the check-up he gave me another spiel on how much x-rays cost and why It's important to see it so they can further diagnose why I've twisted my neck. Again, I was getting the yelp deal for something that regularly costs $150, he was going to give me for $50. I waited for them to be finished. He called me into the other room where he spoke to me about what my neck should look like, and what it does look like, and how it could be the cause for my problem. At this point he asked me if I was interested in doing a session now, and it would be $75- oh wait no, $50 because I mentioned the yelp ad. I explained that I was under the impression that the check in covered the initial exam, and the $50 covered the x-ray and first session. He then seemed very perturbed; almost jarred that at that time I wanted actual treatment for my money. After some deliberation, he stated that customer service was his number one priority, and to make my experience better, he would throw in the exam free of charge. We went to the back. He had me lay down on my chest, and the treatment lasted a total of probably five minutes. He massaged my neck a bit, and did what I can only explain felt like CPR for a baby on the back of my neck. He kept asking me if that felt any better, and first it didn't, but after a bit it did actually feel a little bit better. Had we skipped the hour and a half of conversations and tests, and moved into the actual treatment, I feel as though this would have been a better experience. One of the main questions that was asked before I said I'd pay any money (prices aren't divulged because "they don't know what's wrong yet, and can't tell what needs to be done") was, he wanted to know what a good experience with a doctor looked like. I told him that I like it when they are up-front. Allow me to be up-front: -The check in consists of a long drawn-out conversation followed by a half hour of tests - The x-ray costs $50-75 depending on if you mention yelp - Each session costs $50-75 after that Next time, I'll just put the fifty bucks toward a massage, and take a Motrin. read more

I have migraines, I have had them for years, I have been diagnosed by the best mds around; including neurologist, neurosurgeons, I have had all the mris, ct scans etc; I have been given all the appropriate treatments and medications. I have also had a recent increase in the severity and frequency this past 10 months- this only increased the kinds of rx added, by my mds, but did not do anything to help with the nightly migraine pain I was having. I was referred by a friend to Dr. Polucki -said he treated migraines, i figured why not? I made my first appointment and HE LISTENED TO ME and did a thorough exam and read all of my radiology reports, he did a treatment and I felt good leaving the office with a real treatment plan to try to take care of the cause of my migraines. It's been 3 weeks now and I have had only 2 migraines, I'm not taking any medications other than my vitamins and the rescue rx when I have a migraine I was having daily migraines and now I'm down to less than 1 per week and I feel fantastic, I feel rested and I feel I'm back to getting my life back. I just left Dr. Polucki's office, seeing colors brighter and feeling 20 pounds lighter. I go twice a month for a tune up and always leave feeling better. I started seeing Dr. P about a year ago for the aches and pains I get from my job as an interior decorator. When I started with Dr. P, I was also seeing a medical doctor and a doctor of oriental medicine for disabling fatigue that was making me miserable, loosing me income and costing me a fortune to treat. When Dr. Polucki did his initial consultation and exam he found some things that he said could explain my fatigue and why I wasn't better already but out of respect for my other doctors, I continued with them for two more months even though I only felt a little better after the first four months of treatment. I let Dr. P run some advanced tests and he put me on a plan of diet changes, some supplements and no twisting or cracking chiropractic care. Within the first month I was better than the prior six months of other treatment. By the end of the second month I felt like I had my life back. At the end of the third month I started my maintenance plan where all I needed was a twice a month checkup and a tune up. I've been working 12 hour days, five to six days a week for several months now and I feel better and have more energy than I did when I could only work a few hours a day. I never expected this from a chiropractor but my health, my life is so much better since I made a few simple changes in my diet and get my monthly tune ups. read more
