I was somewhat disappointed to find that the store only contains romance books. But I mean, what should I expect from a place called Its a Love Story. But I can get over that. I just love being surrounded by books and some looked very interesting. The thing is, the place was quieter than a library. There were about 6 people in the shop, but it was so quiet, I was afraid to talk to my wife. The Dirty Chai Latte I ordered was nothing special, so I'd only really come back to be surrounded by books. But since most of the books aren't my Genre, It's less likely that I would. So, I chalk this one up to an experience. It's not a bad one, it's just one that's not for me.

It has a very nice shop inside where the smell of coffee is strong from grinding their own beans in house. I loved it and the vibe instantly. It has an old time feel which I love. The server was super nice and helpful in answering my wife and I's questions. I love that they serve lunch. I had a delicious tortilla soup while my wife enjoyed a panini, also delicious. My wife enjoyed a chocolate espresso, different ingredients than a mocha, while I enjoyed a chai latte. Both great and served very hot in a mug. Speaking of hot, the day was only mid 60's, but due to the many windows, which does bring beauty and good light into the shop, it was quite hot and stuffy inside, yet too cool to eat outside. I can't imagine how it feels on a hot day. The barista said the AC was on, but we couldn't feel it. They need to invest in some of those large ceiling fans Placed throughout the shop. That would do it, I think. Otherwise, we very much loved our experience there.

We absolutely love this place and believe they make the best donuts. We have been buying donuts…read morehere for many years and have always considered it something special. Over the past couple of years, though, we have noticed the level of service decline as the hours have expanded. While I appreciate the additional hours, I am not sure the staff feel the same way. I understand there will always be turnover and new employees, but it feels like some of what made this place special has been lost. Today we called ahead to place an order for a couple dozen donuts. We were on hold for about five minutes, and when placing the order, I had to repeat myself several times after almost every donut. We let them know we would be there in about two hours. When we arrived, the donuts had not been boxed yet. I mentioned that we had placed the order a couple of hours earlier and received a quick, somewhat snappy "OK" in response. It just didn't feel great. When we got home, we realized several of the donuts were not what we ordered. Nothing was mentioned when we picked them up about being out of anything. I assume some of the donuts we ordered may have sold out during those two hours, which is also why I wish the order had been boxed when we called. Had someone simply apologized and said, "We're sorry, we ran out of a few of the donuts you ordered," I would have been completely fine with it. I understand that people get busy and things happen. But you are never too busy to provide good service. We still love the donuts and want this place to be great. I just hope they can get back to the level of service that made us such loyal customers for so many years.
