Prostate cancer is in his family so needless to say we are worried. I waited a few days then called Dr Kaplan's office to see about getting an appointment. Dr. Kaplan's office said they did not receive the referral. I got their fax number and called our doctor back. I confirmed the fax number with our doctor, and confirmed they did send the referral over and gave me the exact date they sent it. I asked my doctor to resend referral again just to make sure which they did when I was on the phone with them. I waited a few more days and then called Dr Kaplan's office back again. We are really worried and wanting to get this going especially if there is cancer. Dr Kaplan's office said they still did not receive the referral. They wanted me to confirm that I had their correct fax number which I did. Dr Kaplan's wanted me to call our doctor back again. I asked if Dr Kaplan's office could just call our doctor to get this resolved. And Jason at Dr Kaplan's told me that he could not make these type of phone calls he only makes appointments. So, I asked if someone else in the office could call our doctor - he said No. I asked "you are telling me no one from Dr Kaplan's office can make a phone call to another doctor's office" Dr Kaplan's office (Jason) said No. Dr Kaplan's office (Jason) said he has a backline fax number I could give to my doctor. I feel that they just do not care and if there is something really wrong with my husband I don't want to deal with a doctor who has this lack of customer service. I felt like they don't care and there was no urgency - I guess they have enough business, so they don't give a *%it. Anyway, end of story is that with just an important life and death stakes we asked for a new referral to a different doctor.

After 3 1/2 years of immunotherapy the decision was made by my oncologist to have a total nephrectomy. We were referred to Dr Adam Kaplan, Urologist specializing in robotic procedures from the Providence Medical Group in Santa Rosa. After our first consult I knew I had the right person for the job and that we didn't have to consider having this done in San Francisco. His demeanor and confidence gave me the assurance that everything would be okay. Six weeks later, I'm happy to share that my CT scan is clear and there is no sign of the disease. Dr Kaplan has had extensive experience using the robotic technique for nephrectomies and my recovery demonstrates how excellent of a surgeon he is. I'm already back in the gym and feel fantastic. We highly recommend you check him out if you or a loved one is faced with such a medical decision. Ken F.

I saw Dr. Miraglia in a practice with several other amazing Dr's as a child. My mom was a labor &…read moredelivery nurse so she knew all the best pediatricians. I never had a bad experience, I mean no kid likes having to get a shot but we talked about it first so I could understand why he had to do something that slightly hurt (great injection technique). This Dr was one of several that were there for you when you needed them. I think Dr. Miraglia gave me stitches after an accident, my mom didn't want me to have a bad scar & knew that he was the best doctor plus he was willing to stay at the ER later to suture me up. I wish I hadn't had to move when I did cause I have never liked any Dr more than my original pediatricians! I always hoped that I could return to the area so any children I had would see Dr's I already knew & felt comfortable with. I liked that the office was full of experienced Dr's that truly cared. I know my late mother would be able to write an even better review as a nurse/mom but since she can't I'll just say that she would be giving him an epic 5 star review.

He almost snipped me as a newborn when everyone thought I was going to be a boy! I came out a girl. He has been the most amazing doctor I've ever had. I dread going to the doctor, but when I was little (and even all the way up to being 19) I LOVED going to see Dr. Miraglia. I was always excited to see him. He always had my mom and I giggling and happy, no matter if I had pneumonia or a small rash. He is absolutely like family to my mom and I. He also saw my brother most of his life, who is 30 now. We are both incredibly healthy and happy kids. This is more of a personal review, but don't let that review (that only one) with one review steer you away from Dr. Miraglia. Your kid will leave with a smile on their face, a new sticker every time (that was one of my favorite parts of the visit) and you knowing your kid is in the best shape they can possibly be. If not, he'll fix it. Also, he's a DOCTOR, he's not going to ask you a medical question that he needs to physically see! It's called a damn physical! Ridiculous. Anyway, he's amazing!

I had just returned from vacationing with my boyfriend and a couple of days later my back (around the kidneys) began to hurt so badly that I could hardly move. I went to see Dr. Lowy and told him of the pain. I also told him that it felt a little funny when I urinated. He diagnosed me with pancreatitis (a condition that I was told later by TWO other doctors that no one in their right mind would be the first diagnosis for an otherwise healthy person). After ordering that I get some blood work done, he analyzed it and told me that I wouldn't feel well for a couple of weeks, and to stay in bed. He told me not to take any aspirin or other pain killers as they would exacerbate my condition. After staying in bed without any pain killers for the two most painful weeks of my life, I finally gave up and had to go to the emergency room because my pain was excruciating and I had a temperature of 106 degrees. The emergency room doctor was able to diagnose me right away with a kidney infection, put me on antibiotics and send me on my way. The ER doctor told me that when I came back from my vacation I probably had a urinary tract infection (much more likely for a healthy young woman who just got back from a vacation with her boyfriend) that went untreated and spread to my kidneys. This UTI could have easily been caught by a simple urinalysis, which Dr. Lowy failed to give me. He did not listen when I told him that my kidneys were hurting. I am now paying off a $6000 emergency room bill for a simple UTI that went wrong because of this man. Do not go see him for any reason! You are likely to end up sicker than when you went in.
