The scheduler, Jennifer, is knowledgeable and efficient, returning phone calls promptly, and scheduling expertly to my convenience. Pete is the plumber assigned to my location: he arrives promptly, is very courteous, listens attentively as I explain 'the problem', and diagnoses a fix. Follow up to the service call is expedited promptly. Pricing is worked out very well: I had 2 old toilets replaced, and I was offered to negotiate a high-end expensive, designer product, or simply a more cost-effective product. In anticipation of needing a new furnace, I asked Pete to draw up a quote; hands down it was a good price, better than competitor's price. Living in my older home, there are many problems which require the services of a plumber: leaky gas lines, and deterioration due to hard water and the resulting mineral buildup on outdoor faucets, shower faucets and toilet flush mechanisms, as well as those old clogged drains! We've used other plumbers, having lived in this house for over 40 years. But I'm quite happy with PHD, and the price is right! And, by the way, a home warranty company was recommended to me--so I did some research: you're better off letting your home insurance company insure your large item (furnace), than pay much more with a home warranty company IMHO.

The Polite Plumber - Sloppy work didn't even determine where the beams were just punched in a hole haphazardly.

The price was reasonable and whoever I dealt with at their company was quite nice. We will continue to use the Polite Plumber for all our needs!

The guy was here over two hours late and there was no call nor text to inform me of his lateness (which totally would've been fine as I understand other issues get in the way but at least should have been communicated). Finally after two hours of waiting, we had to call for them to clarify that he was running late. When the guy finally got here, he quoted $800 to clear our main line and an extra $300 if he needed to remove the toilet for access. A full $1100 without tax and tip! Not to mention, we clearly stated the issue and the guy had to "recreate it himself" to see what the issue was and by doing so, flooded my entire basement AGAIN and left us to clean up his mess and causing more damage. We called Roto Rooter after the quote to get a second opinion and they had a guy out in less than 12 hours and gave us a quote over the phone of $350 to clear the main line. They did not re-flood our basement and quickly helped fix our issue. They were transparent that access through the toilet, if needed would cost extra. Avoid Polite Plumber, not affordable, ridiculous prices, causes more harm than good.
