The woman in the upstairs section talked me through loads of brochures and because we were after a two stop holiday which wasn't a standard combination for most of the tour operators she had her work cut out. After several phone calls on my behalf she found one company that would be able to arrange what I wanted. Although I didn't end up booking through Thomas Cook (I went direct to the tour operator and saved about 10% on the trip) I feel that their help was invaluable in me ending up with the perfect honeymoon break. Excellent service from a travel agent that really knew her stuff.

Andy is the manager and (according to him) he has developed his team, and therefore his office to one of the top flight centre offices in the country! He can often get very good prices (sometimes beating main airline website prices), but would not recommend going in their with a price from a website and ask him to beat it... he probably can, but this is not what this flight centre is about. Go there to book your complete itinerary and this way you can save time and money!

Came across Globehunters when searching Google flights. Figured Google was trustworthly so I went…read moreahead and booked my flight through their site. Should have trusted my gut and known this was too good to be true. A few hours after completing checkout, I get a call from Globehunters stating they were not able to confirm my flight as the price went up $50. The suggested that I rebook on another flight for $230 more. I declined and asked that my order be canceled as the original agreement could not be met. I checked the price of the flight on the Alaska airlines site and the price did not increase. They were lying through their teeth... Agent kept pushing the more expensive flight and eventually let me cancel stating the confirmation for the cancelation would be sent in a few hours. 6 hours later, still no email. I called back and they are "unable to find my order." DO NOT ORDER THROUGH THIS SITE. Poor customer service, and dishonest practice. Save yourself the headache and chargeback your credit card so you don't have to deal with these scammers.

When booking a holiday, I found that they were very helpful, especially with my special request of having our apartments next to each other - they emailed the hotel while I sat there - nothing was too much trouble! Stood around for 5 minutes without any communication from the staff. The lady with the blonde highlights was clearly not having a business related conversation, I politely asked if the Foreign Currency booth was open, she said yes but there's obviously no one there so no. Staff appear knowledgeable and are very helpful offering to tailor holidays to your needs. Unfortunately, despite being independent the agents seemed only to have a limited offering resorting to the internet for requests that they couldn't initially satisfy from their stock of brochures. They didn't have the knowledge of the results then turned up. Sovereign tend to specialise in long-haul travel and are placed at the upper end of the travel market. The offices are functional rather than plush. I would recommend this for exotic breaks but not for your package to the Med!
