Meanwhile, she was giving unclear and inconsistent signals. I followed every direction given, yet somehow I was still blamed. That's not acceptable customer service--especially for a paying customer. I pay monthly for this service and shouldn't have to drive farther just to be treated properly. When I left the wash, my vehicle was clean and bug free. Now, they hurry you through, and the extra bug treatment is less than stellar. I went through the wash three straight times and still have the same bug splats in the same places. I called the manager, who informed me that the new owners made changes, some for safety, but mostly to get more cars through faster. They stopped scrubbing the mirrors for liability issues. I think I've run my course with this company and will be looking elsewhere for car wash services. If you just want a basic wash, they are OK. If you want quality was, find somewhere else.

I called the shop, confirmed that they could complete the job and received an acceptable estimate. I also mentioned that I didn't have a truck and asked if I could order the top and have it shipped directly to the shop and was told that that wouldn't be a problem; I got the impression that this had been done before. I asked if they could recommend any particular brand of replacement top and was told that both EZ ON and Robbins were quality brands, I went with a Robbins from TopsOnline.com. The person I spoke to at Barrett's was polite and VERY informative, so far, so good. Well, I ordered the top August 2nd, opting for the cloth because I believe it looks a bit classier than the original vinyl, seeing the new top installed I'm glad I made that choice. For any Miata types out there, the item number that I ordered was "R2917C-STBKB" with a description of "1998 thru 2005 Mazda Miata MX5 & MX5 Eunos -- 1 Piece Look Top with No Zipper Heated Defroster Glass Window With New Rain Rail" As planned, on August 8th, my top arrived at the shop, I was notified of the delivery and called to confirm receipt, I wish I had waited for the shop to call me since I could have reviewed that as well. The shop was booked up for the remainder of the week so the install actually began a few days later, I used their drop-off service and dropped my car off in the evening. The install was expected to take two days but took three, this wasn't a big deal, I'd much rather the top be installed professionally than quickly, and this was a beautiful install! I apologize to the business for this review being dated by a couple of months but that is actually a good thing, I've had a few more weeks to review both the top and the install. I am comfortable taking my Miata through touch-free carwashes and this top performs well under such conditions, I also drove through the heavy rain generated by Hurricane Harvey and thanks to some cool mornings, I've been able to test out the rear defrost. Everything works as advertised and I am 100% satisfied with both the product and the installation. Kudos to both Topsonline.com and Barrett's Upholstery Center in Killeen, Texas.

It has now been almost two weeks, and the work had not even been started. I understand that delays can happen, but this was a simple zipper repair on a small awning bag, not a major upholstery project. The lack of communication and the extended delay were extremely frustrating. I called and let him know I was coming to pick it up and take it somewhere else. Yes, they do mostly motorcycles and from what I saw when I was there they do a damn good job of it, but they also do cars trucks, RVs all of it. When I called they were very nice and when I showed up Leon the owner was ready for me and addressed my by name even though I didn't tell him when I was coming. The real review is the results, my car looked and smelled beautiful, they even cleaned the door jambs and the trunk jambs and footboards, everything was sparkling! They take their time but that's why you come here, so bring your patience otherwise I'm sure there's a touchless foam wash down the road you can get in and out of in 5 minutes. I'll be back for sure.
