Well we all have our bad days, I guess, but on this particular day, of course I had out of town guests whose ordered was forgotten for 45 minutes. Would have appreciated an apology or threw in a free anything. I doubt anyone comes here alone with kids to leave at the table when you have to keep going back and forth checking on/picking up your order. Sorta wish the menu was a little more clear too. I feel like I'm doing a pop quiz! Ha! Is there another word for "vessel"? Seeing that on a menu comes off somewhat odd and unappetizing. We came for their brunch and the dogs jumping in the pool because we have dogs and love to meet new friends. We arrived late and most of the brunch menu was sold out. So we decided to wait for the lunch menu to come out. The corn nuggets were good along with the pretzel bites. Everything else was just bad. My mother in law ordered a panini and ate half the threw the rest away. I ordered a flatbread that had pulled pork, apple butter a mix of cheeses with tomato and onion top. It sounds delicious, but was not good at all. I was happy to actually get to try their IPA on this visit. To be honest the beer and the people behind the bar are awesome just like the dogs outside. As for the food, plan on eating before or after you come here. There is absolutely no reason to order food here. read more

A great way to spend a Saturday night! Thirsty Farmer is definitely a family favorite. A perfect family atmosphere. The food never disappoints and the beer and cider are even better. Besides going down a side road that looks like a scene out of the Blair Witch project at night, this place was great! I'm a dark beer girl and they only offered a chocolate porter, but boy did they nail that chocolate porter. It tasted delicious. They had live music and the place was pretty busy. They sell merchandise and also sell food. The workers were friendly and helpful. Check this place out! Oh! They also offer an Adams County beer passport. It was very busy. I expected faster service, and the pickup was a little confusing, but I was served what I ordered.

Have been here before and had a great experience with their food. Tasted great and good portions. Tried their Breakfast for Dinner tonite and it fell far short of their other menu items. Scrambled eggs and tater tots were good. Cold pancakes and cold butter make for a bad combination. There was a cold biscuit but no jam or marmalade was available. Something that bothers me even more but partially my fault. I paid with card and was prompted to tip before the food was even delivered. Against my best judgment I did tip. After the food was delivered and was poor wished I could have asked for my tip refunded. Was not worth tipping. I will try again but regular menu items and Not Breakfast. read more

I came here on a Friday afternoon in the summer (hey, teacher life) and it wasn't crowded at all, but I can see about some people's complaints about the noise level. They need to get some sort of something in there to better the acoustics. But other than that, I really enjoyed my trip here. We got the mozzarella sticks and they were awesome (I don't like that they give you 5 because if you're in a party of 2, 3, or even 4, that leaves you arguing over who is going to get an extra, especially in my group lol) I'd like to come back and try some of their sandwiches. Beer was good. They let you sample before you commit to a pint, but I'm almost positive they don't do flights, which is a shame. read more

Disappointed! This was our first visit and we needed a little direction. Do we wait to be seated? Do servers come to the table? Where/how do we order and/or which line is for what? We stood around like fools trying to find some direction. I don't know if this is the norm or they were short staffed, plus, there was a wedding event inside, but, no one was readily available to help us. I made my way to the woman behind the bar and asked if she could answer a question for me, she said, "no"! We finally just picked a line, stood in it and hoped it was the beer line, luckily, it was. The only reason I'm giving this a 3 out of 5 star review is due to the EXTREMELY slow service from the bar area that Thirsty Farmer provides. When one visits a brewery they don't expect to wait 15-20 minutes to order beer/food. My wife and I along with another couple visited the brewery on Sunday, August 11th. A beautiful day, and the place was packed. Stood in line the first time and only ONE person was taking food and drink orders along with pouring beer. We stood for well over 20 minutes before we were served. The line behind us was at least 30 people deep. I'm certain they had to wait much longer than we did. The second time around there was two people working behind the bar. It was like watching paint dry with the snail's pace that these two individuals were working. Even with tow people behind the bar it took well over 15 minutes to get our beers. By the way, the food, beer and facility is great. Just extremely slow service. Will not go out of my way (drove 1hr. to get there) to go there again. read more

First visit. We are locals to the area. Follow up note to earlier reviews....they have flights! Four beers to a flight. Very affordable and yes they have food! Some sandwiches, fries, onion rings and pretzels. Nice to have both beer and munchies. Beer is quite good. I have four of the darker beers. Hazelnut is my fav. Wife liked to lager. We watched a little doggie competition happening on the grounds for entertainment. Fun place. read more

On Sunday the 5th of October 2020 I recommend the Thirsty Farmer Donuts to friends of mine from VA. They made their order to go and the husband went in to pick up his order, but the lady at check out gave him a hard time because of the color of his skin. It was bad enough that the manager and a patron had to step in. I feel bad that I recommended their yummy donuts to my friends and they were treated badly because of their skin color. It's been a while but went here again today. Dogs where jumping and they had a bounce house for the kids. Thought our grand kids would have a good time and we could get lunch for them and spend the day. Grandkids did have a good time but, we left early with no lunch. Inside counter had long lines and people tripping over themselves. So, went to the outside tap 3 times. First time they said they were still setting up; I get that so went away for a while. Went back a second time and was told they where still trying to get the credit card reader/system to work properly. Again, I get that so, went away again..........Third time I approached the tap, the girl behind the table was having a conversation with some guy so I waited........She then came up to the table, I asked "Are you up and running now?" she responded "No I'm just standing back here looking silly". Not what I expected and not the inconsiderate respond I was hoping for. We left and didn't return. Small menu but the panini was very good .Our first stop was jacks Hard Cider in the old Hauser Winery.The place really went down hill starting with the road and ending up with the grounds We should of stopped at the Farmers Brewery first and saved time and money . Good beer, horrible acoustics! That about sums it for me after my first visit to this new establishment. As bars/restaurants go, the Thirsty Farmer was painfully noisy. It's obvious why there are closed captions on all the TV ... no way can you carry on a conversation, let alone hear a TV! For me, that's the kiss of death, which is really too bad. Like I said, the beer was good; the food, okay. But I dislike filling out my own order form, taking it up to the counter, carrying back my drinks ... it might as well be a school cafeteria. What's wrong with traditional wait staff? I'd gladly tip for a little service. I'll have to give the Thirsty Farmer another try when we can sit outside on the deck. read more

We stopped here as part of the pour tour and were not disappointed. Our bartender Brian made us feel right at home. We had a couple of flights of beers which were very good. My husband tried the cider, the lager, Hefeweizen, and the apple graf. I tried the chocolate porter, the stout, Hefeweizen, and hazelnut town ale. The hazelnut brown was my favorite!
