I love this location! The employees are SO nice and I always leave with a smile on my face. Drinks are delicious, the Miss Abby is my personal fav and they totally just roll with the modifications I like. It's fun to try all the yummy seasonal treats, but I've also never been done wrong with a bag of just the plain beignets too. This was my first time learning about fancy sodas, and I have to admit, I'm obsessed now. While I don't think I will ever put creamer in carbonated beverages, having the opportunity to make fancy lemonades and super refreshing soda drinks with some extra flavor was really fun, especially since I had to spend some time at the airport that day. It's all about the beignets! Pretzles and dirty sodas were good, but the beignets were the stars! They are big, soft and served warm. They are bigger than traditional, but very good. This is my first time in Utah and I know that this state is known for its cool soda bars, so of course I had to try. I got a build your own with sugar free monster, vanilla cream, Fresca, and raspberry puree. Wow! It was delicious. Girl's road trip to enjoy some fall foliage and had to get in on the "soda wars" sitch in Utah. My friends had this dialed in, but this was my first go. Super glad we hit Thirst for my inaugural sip. I chose the Hissy Fit. Being a newbie I didn't have any clue what to expect. I thoroughly enjoyed it, although I might get it a little bit less sweet next time. But this is obvs personal preference. What brought this to next levs for me was the little baby bag of popcorn that they offer as a bonus. It was the perfect amount to scratch my salty sweet combo bite/sip itch. There is literally nothing better than the pretzel bites at Thirst. They're perfectly buttery, salted, gooey. Oh my goodness I crave their little pretzel bites on a regular basis. Get them salted and with their nacho cheese and you'll thank me later. They're fresh and hot and YUM! I'm not a huge dirty soda person and have always just gotten a regular Diet Coke or a boring soda when I come here. I recently got their Kick Back Rickey with Sprite, grape flavor shot, and lime and it was yummy and refreshing. I switched out the Sprite for Sprite Zero so it wasn't as sugar heavy. This location has a drive thru and no seating inside. The drive thru line is always fairly long but has moved quickly every time I've gone. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Nothing sums up Utah like a good old soda shop. Thirst happens to be my favorite. This location can get pretty busy but they move fast. This is my favorite little pick me up treat every once and a while. A Diet Coke with raspberry purée and vanilla cream is my go to. They also have a small selection of snacks. They have pretzel cups, cookies, and beignets. They sometimes have maple beignets which are SO GOOD. They're always so nice and this is definitely the perfect little pick me up. read more

Came for the beignets which were good. Got the big box and half were powdered sugar and the other half cinnamon sugar. Came with honey, raspberry and chocolate syrup "drizzle" It was aight The beignets on their own were good enough no need for extra "drizzle" Idk but their menu board said they had a Nutella drizzle but that shiz was actually chocolate syrup. So thankful for Thirst for an incredible first time experience to Utah's best - the soda shop. As someone who has heard great legend of the soda shops of Utah, Thirst truly lived up to the hype. As a longtime fanatic of soda (if that's a thing), Thirst truly fulfilled all my greatest dreams. The menu is infinitely customizable. Whether you want to go fruity, go creamy, be quirky and use a tea base instead, they have it. Additionally, they also have a preset menu of their favorites, and I opted for the Johnny and June and added my own mango puree. I will say that I didn't really taste the mango purée but it might've just been all the flavors together. I really enjoyed my drink though, the tiger's blood addition to the sprite brought me back to elementary school sno cone days. They also provide free popcorn (it is really salty) which is the perfect pairing to the sweet soda. I will say the drinks were too sweet for some of my friends, but for me as someone who grew up drinking a lot of soda this place met my every desire. Also for customizing drinks, less is more! Apparently flavored soft drinks are all the rage in this area. Probably due to the disapproval of caffeine amongst the LDS people. There are competing businesses with similar themes. We picked Thirst based on Yelp reviews. Had a Coke Zero with a raspberry purée and it was quite large and filling. Daughters had a Coke with coconut cream and a Sprite flavored drink. Although sweet, we enjoyed them. We also had a couple of orders of Beignets with dustings of powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar along with honey and raspberry dipping sauces. The team is always so nice snd happy when I go, but this last time the team was still top notch but the drink was not... I decided to try something different and went with a large kick back Ricky- extra lime. They handed my pretzel bites and my drink. I looked at my drink and it looked.. slightly purple but not as dark as I thought it would be. I took a sip after already leaving the drive thru and was surprised it tasted like... sprite, just sprite. So I stirred it up a bit and got some more... sprite with lemon seeds. I was super disappointed. I was really looking forward to my drink! But all I got was a large sprite for 5-6$ ... I should've just gone to McDonald's. I think I would've paid a dollar or 2$ for the same thing. Pretzels were warm and delicious which totally saved my purchase. Nothing to complain about, but only good things to say. I've been coming to this location since I was a college student so since about 2019. I've seen them grow, and see their menu grow as well. They have delicious drinks, and are open to making your own drink (which can get pricey so be mindful). They have delicious sweets as well. The service is great, the workers are always in a good mood, and seem happy to be there. There is usually a big line during busy evenings/nights. read more

I ordered a 44 oz Pink Starbust and it was SO GOOD! It really did taste like pink starburst! I imagine if I had ordered full sugar it would have been even better! Sadly, I had to make mods because I am diabetic. I am so glad that Thirst has sugar free options because it is always a struggle to find a place with a decent variety of options! Originally this drink is a Sprite base with guava and the addition of strawberry and raspberry flavor, as well as vanilla cream. My version was with Sprite Zero and sugar free strawberry and sugar free raspberry, plus the guava and vanilla cream as is. I 100% recommend this drink! read more

Good drinks. I got the Johnny and June drink. It was good and mixed throughly. The drink didn't stand out above any other places comparable to Thirst. This was my first visit. We came on a Wednesday so we could try the beignets others were talking about. I had never had one so expected fluffy dough that was sweet. I did not eat them as soon as we got them, but ate them when we got home since they were so messy. Maybe they would've been better at Thirst in the parking lot. I thought I could taste the oil too much so did not like them. I also got the sugar cookie that people were saying was better than Swig. I did not like the sugar cookie either. The sugar cookie was very dry and crumbly. Swig, in my opinion, is much better. I probably won't be making the trip back to Thrist. One thing that I really did appreciate was how friendly the cashier was. She was very happy and enthusiastic. I wish the food would've been better so I could come back and support the great employees. read more

I was lured to this place specifically because they offer beignets on Wednesday's and pretzel bites every day! These food items differentiate this place from all the other soda shops in Utah, so I thought it was worth a try. The pretzel bites are pretty damn good. They tasted relatively fresh and come in three different seasoning options with three different dipping sauces. #winning We tried all three flavors and dips and polished them off pretty quickly because they were so good. I loved the nacho sauce! It had a kick of spice and was the perfect nacho-cheese texture. The reason I can't give four or even five stars is because of the beignet order. You can imagine how disappointing it was to order four beignets and get three and...a third? (If that) The order is supposed to come with four beignets, so we were definitely shorted. I tried calling to ask if we could get our fourth and the person on the other line hung up on me... As for the three "beignets" we got to try, they are basically Utah-scones with powdered sugar on top so they're DELICIOUS!! If you're looking for the most authentic version of a beignet, look elsewhere. As a funfetti fanatic, I was a little skeptical when a friend told me a drink store was selling funfetti cookies that I needed to try. Man, sign me up for 100 more--besides maybe the cookies and creme option at Goodly Cookies, Thirst's funfetti cookie is the best cookie I've found in the Salt Lake Valley.
