Brad Smith and his team are great. They are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They were able to get my Lexus in and change the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, brakes and more in short notice. Brad didn't try to talk me into anything extra, he just made some recommendations and explained everything thoroughly as to why it was necessary and a good idea to do while it's already apart. Unfortunately within 700 miles of driving off the lot the head gasket went out and vehicle overheated.So I towed it back to wait for the warranty claim to process for the needed repairs. The warranty company took a month to send an inspector out. The following week I received a notice that the warranty company canceled my contract due to a modification made to the vehicle by the prior owner. The team at Voice motors took care of me. They reversed the funds for the warranty contract and after discussing it with Ryan and Mitch they decided to cover the necessary repairs to get me back on the road.! I called and spoke to Mike who told me to bring it right in - whether it could be patched or not, I also requested a tire rotation (when at Juniors I suppose). He asked my expectations on timing and I told him I was just glad they could get me in. A few hours later, Richard calls to tell me it's done and no charge for the tire rotation. What? I politely declined and insisted on paying for the rotation. I share this story not so others will expect to "get something for free" but instead to expect high-touch, friendly, communicative, timely service at (IMHO) a a great rate! The entire team there could not have been better and although I live in Metro Detroit, I try to visit TC often and I can say with confidence, when it's time for new tires - I will consider driving up to see the Juniors crew. My car became undrivable before their loaner was available, so I had to bring it in early. At drop-off, I spoke with Mary Jean, who agreed over the phone that I could pay the repair balance in installments since I needed to use my savings to purchase a temporary beater car. Based on that agreement, I went ahead and bought an inexpensive vehicle and waited for the repairs. Once the work was completed, the entire agreement was suddenly denied. I was then contacted by Deb, who immediately began pressuring me to either pay the full balance upfront or sell my car to them at an extremely low and unrealistic price. When I refused, she informed me they would start charging $100 per month just to keep my repaired vehicle on the lot--something never disclosed in advance. She repeatedly referenced a supposed "normal" rate of $100 per day as if it were a threat, even though none of this was part of the original conversation with Mary Jean. The behavior felt strategic and manipulative, designed to corner me into selling them my car. When I arrived with the $2,000 I had borrowed from a friend, the visible shock on Deb's face said everything--she clearly expected I'd have no choice but to give in. The entire situation made me feel like they were taking advantage of someone they assumed couldn't push back. The store manager refused to speak with me by phone and insisted on email only, adding to the frustration. Throughout the ordeal, I received dismissive remarks, including being told I "couldn't be trusted" to pay--even though their last-minute changes were the only reason the situation escalated. I genuinely cannot understand how a business operates this way and stays open. Between the shifting terms, undisclosed fees, pressure tactics, and lack of basic professionalism, this was one of the worst experiences I've had with any repair shop. I would strongly advise others to avoid Olsen's entirely.
