There's a new game in town for the arts--for performance, education, production, or broadcast, et.al. This building was originally the Eclipse Theatre multiplex. It then closed and later reopened as the Art Houz Theatres. This, too, closed, and the building has been mostly dormant for a few years.
This has now changed with its reopening as Third Street. Third Street was created by some of our very talented artists of differing genres in the city. I was there lat night to see a play where some of this year's Fallout Fringe Festival plays were held. I stopped at the bar first for a diet cola before heading to the theatre.
While I had been here before, it was for a comedy club that existed for a while on the 3rd floor. I also was here for dinner one year, but this was my first time to see a play.
There is some parking ina garage below the theaters and stret parkign is easier here than in the main part of the Arts District.
I look forward to see more things happening in this fine venue. I thank the group that got together and are making this happen, some I have known for years. Thanks you for all your hard work to grow the arts in our city! It is appreciated! read more
