This review is for the Introduction to Korean class…read more While I liked the teacher, I did not like the format of the class too much. Teacher would talk for a bit then we had to partner up with whoever was sitting near us and go over some exercises. I did not like having to partner up with other people because of a few things: 1. Some people (like me) could already read and (mostly) speak hangul while others were complete beginners (which is fair). But that means I ended up having to help other people around me instead of learning. 2. Too much time "wasted" "partnering" with other people so I didn't feel the class time was being effectively used. Granted, with an $80 price point for 8 weeks of classes, it IS worth it if you want to dip your toes into Korean (which you should, because it's an awesome language and country). I think that this class would be better if you have someone to go with you who is around the same level of you and also interested in attending.

They are not nearly as well known for Korean classes as the KCCLA it seems (due to their lack of…read moreadvertising/word spreading), but honestly, I like them a lot more. They have Thursday night class from 7-9 pm for more intermediate Korean learners (think Intermed. A and up at KCCLA) and Saturday morning class 10 am - 12 pm for beginners. I have attended both classes multiple times, and both teachers are fantastic and kind/patient. A full 12 week or more term with a book/binder is only $30, and you can attend both classes for that price too if you wish. Their parking situation is much easier than the KCCLA's...you can park in their outdoor lot (trade in your entry ticket for a token to exit the lot) or in their underground garage. You might also find street parking nearby...and it's just a few minutes walk from the Vermont/Wilshire station. I used to go to the KCCLA too, but quit. KCCLA has become a victim now of its own popularity in my book. I have nothing bad to say about them personally, but it's just more of a hassle (to me at least) to fight traffic through Miracle Mile/Wilshire and then deal with the difficult parking situation there, and the classes can be kind of cramped/crowded. I feel a lot of less stress coming to the KEC (of course, I live less than a mile away too...)

I was looking for a background live scan check that I need for registering for my NCLEX PN exam…read morenear my school last year December and I found out that LA translation now doing it too. So after years since I used their service, I came here again because it is like only 5 minutes away from my school and I only have a lunch break 1 hour to get it so I called and they said I can come. Luckily, one person finishing up his Live scan check and I did papers works, gave my id for copy, and did the live scan fingerprinting. It was quicker than I expected. I appreciate they double check for any spelling error and info before submitting. After the experience, I told my other classmates to get theirs too and they did. I was charged better price than the other three places I found on yelp that I called before L.A. Translation. As a student, saving $40 is good. I highly recommend to Nursing students who needing background livescan check to come here for quick service and most reasonable price for it. I had no problem and I scheduled my NCLEX PN exam with no problem. Also, one of my friend needed her letter to USCIS to get notarized so I called and asked and John said they do notary and to just tell my friend to bring the copy of her documents and so I recommended her to try come here and she did. She said she also had a very quick good experience and it was very helpful experience. (I wish I took photos of the new office but I was in a hurry, and this is a late post review because I got so busy the past 2 months) Thank you so much for the help!

Even after notification, she refused to correct the mistakes, insisted on using her inaccurate version, and demonstrated a lack of understanding regarding standard Hangul romanization and address formatting. Furthermore, the turnaround was slow, taking four days and a follow-up reminder to have her mail the document, followed by a total cessation of communication when asked for a copy.

My proficiency in English has improved significantly thanks to Daniel, Toni and supportive learning environment. Moreover, I've had the pleasure of making friends from various countries, which has enriched my cultural understanding and personal growth. The community here is incredibly kind and open-minded, made me feel comfortable and welcomed from the very beginning. I must mention that teacher Daniel is exceptionally kind and makes classes incredibly interesting. I am amazed that how he is patient with all types of students. His preparation for the classes is outstanding, professional and he never bores us. Additionally, Toni makes her classes really compelling that you will grasp everything she teaches. She will be your friend only in few seconds. I love that both of them have best sense of humor. Also, if you ask me, they have broad knowledge about everything that makes classes engaging and insightful. They have quickly become my most favorite teachers. Their engaging teaching styles have made my time here even more enjoyable. Also, I made many great friends here. Although I didn't have the opportunity to study in teacher Sheena's class, she is incredibly kind, gives good advice, and is so fun to talk to. Also, I'm really grateful for Dr.Park and Mrs.Park. I'm truly glad that I had the opportunity to study at Adams College. It is definitely the best college for English studies.
