This establishment has been around for many decades, so glad to still c it thriving. But, It's been years since being in a Things Remembered, I usually come here for big work event or celebration presents that need quick professional personalization. They have really up'd their variety of personalized items, such great wide selection now, in which most can b ready in an hour. They still have their old school traditional snow globes that wind and play music, glass ware & flask, professional pens, clocks, office desk & wall decor, picture frames, wedding gifts, award plaques, etc. What I found new & amazing is the wide selection of sterling silver & gold plated jewelry (necklaces & bracelets) with different stones & cubic zirconia diamonds, lots to chose from, great styles for all ages, infant to senior citizens. Plus, they have great variety of colors and sizes of water containers (Ex.- hiking style hydro flasks)that can b personalized too... I got a beautiful heart charm & necklace for daughters bday, I personalized it- and Thank U to Mitzi for all Ur help and patience in making this beautiful & unique "forever" present, it's a small heart and Mitzi erasures me I could put daughters 5 letter name on front side and Mom on back side, I was extremely surprised & very impressed how the outcome turned out. And I didn't come in for this originally but saw the jewelry and couldn't resist. Something else that quickly caught my eye too was the personalized sewn afghans, baby blankets, quilts, teddy bears, travel to gym bags & totes, unsure what the turn around time is for these to be sewn & personalized, but I'm almost sure it's not an hour. The store is well organized & clean. And enough staff during this busy Graduation & Fathers Day season. All the staff were easy to talk to & knowledgeable about their store products which made shopping easy, fast, and less stressful. Prices for the variety of great gifting items were affordable, especially with store promos of B1G1 half off or another deal B1 jewelry G1 keepsake box of Ur choice for free. I ended up giving my friend who is retiring (original reason for coming in) the free keepsake box since I bought my daughters necklace, such a great savings of $25. BUT as expected, the personalization is costly, I spent $33 for personalizing my friends keepsake box, and $27 for daughters charm, but sooo worth the unique surprise for loved ones. There is also, a club card to earn points and free money for future purchases for only $5 a year, after seeing the many new unique items & my favorite -the jewelry. Located near the JC Penney's part of the Main Place Mall is this Things Remembered. The store isn't very large, but they do display many different items for all occasions, from graduation to weddings to gifts for a bridal party. I needed an anniversary gift and popped in to take a look at their stuff. They had silver picture frames which I could get engraved. The one frame I wanted had a the words "LOVE" floating above the 5x7 frame and was reasonably priced at $30.00. Unfortunately they didn't have it in stock, and was willing to sell me the display, which I didn't want. While browsing, they had a keychain of a slot machine on sale for $9.99 (regularly $14). My friend is a slot player, so I took the last one and got it engraved. The clerk "upsold" me on a more premium, bolder font for $5 more and the engraving itself cost $9. The engraving cost more than the item! I guess that's how they make their money... sell you items at a reasonable cost, and get you on the cost per word engraving. Lovely store, but wished they had more stuff in inventory. The frame I wanted was at the Brea store, located 1/2 hour away. Or, I could go online and get it done, and pick it up at the store for free. A-ok experience. read more

The store is a little small but the deals were great and the customer service was even better. I went into the store with my wife and parents just to browse and see the deals they had going on and Daniel was super helpful and made the experience great. He offered advice on different styles of engraving and personalization on the items we ended up picking out. The best part was that the engravings were done within an hour! Horrible experience and customer service!!! First, they were out of everything. Originally wanted a charm bracelet- out. I saw a frame I liked- out of the size I wanted so I had to spend more. Second, I had a coupon from an email- didn't work. I went to their website and it said 25% off everything. I showed the girl at the counter and asked if she could work with me on this since they didn't have the frame I wanted and the computer wouldn't except my coupon. She wouldn't. Didn't even say why just sat on the phone with someone and kept shaking her head "nope" Their products are overpriced. Go somewhere else!! read more

I went in with a couple of wine glasses and the engraving was $19 each for 4 'words' -- a date in numbers counts as one word. When I went to pick them up, I noticed that the date was wrong. They were very friendly and helped correct the mistake. Minus a star for having to wait 30 minutes more due to the error, but the service was great! They were very friendly and quick to offer solutions. I walked out of there the same day with a couple of beautifully engraved wine glasses. Great service, just maybe have them read the message back to ensure that it is engraved correctly. read more

Just look at the photos and let them speak for themselves... When my girlfriend and I went in to get our anniversary present for my parents. We put in our order and two days go by and finally receive a texting letting me know its ready for pickup, Upon inspecting the glasses at home there was the golden paint that they used for the coloring, had smeared everywhere on the glass and large thumbprints of the gold paint smudged all over the glasses. My girlfriend and I were absolutely shocked that Things Remembered would so blatantly disregarding and sloppy considering we have done previous engravings here before and know this is unacceptable and nowhere near their previous standards. We tried cleaning the glasses and still the smeared and smudged sloppy golden paint covered the entire glass and when we called Things Remembered to ask how they let something this sloppy go out without some sort of quality insurance, the lady on the phone replied with a big sigh and just said "yeah that really sucks, I'm sorry" Oh ya also we paid $150 for engraving and they silk screened the print on the glasses so it will just wash off in 2 washes and those photos are all taken straight out of the box and are already spotty and scratching off Do yourself a favor here is the website the OC engravers! I visited the store on 11/13/21 at the Main Place Mall Santa Ana location. My kid had received a piggy bank gift but it was broken in the box when we opened it. I went to the store and explained the issue. Lucas who was present there told me he would be able to replace it and give me a call when done. He knew since it was a gift I had no transaction information and this item was something we intended to keep. But since it was broken , we wanted a replacement. Also this time was engraved with my kid's name. He said he will call me when the replacement comes in. I received NO call. When I called today to follow up, he mentioned he called me and left me a message. I know there was no call and no message. I checked my phone everyday. He lied. Then he went to say he can't replace it without a transaction. I had shared with him in the very beginning that since it was a gift I had no transaction information. He just changed his mind and never informed me or called me about it. He lied twice, once about the call and then about the replacement. I asked to speak to his manager and he told me that he is the manager (lie again). I told him I was going to take this up with the customer service and then he tells me he has a supervisor. Again he lied. So now I don't know what the truth is and who is trying to portray as a manager and who really is the manager. How can one store have 2 mangers?? This is item is unique to Things Remembered and no other store carries this item. Never expected this from a brand like Things Remembered. Worst engraving ever. Went to this location before the holidays and the staff was rude and lazy. Everything is overpriced as well. Do yourself a favor and go to Orange County Engravers. I just came back from Things Remembered at the Main Place Mall. I was assisted by Paulina and Julie. What AMAZING customer service. I explained to Paulina that I wasn't sure what to get for a wedding since I barely new the people. She was unbelievably friendly and helpful. She even advised that a second gift would be 75% off. Mothers day is right around the corner. She had me in and out in 15 minutes, if that. My order was personalized and a text was given for pick up in 20 minutes! I picked my gifts where I was greeted with a friendly smile by Julie. She was very nice and made me feel welcomed and even at home if you will. I came to this location because I work in the area and ordered an item to pick up as a Christmas gift. The customer service here is terrible and I will never be back. The employees have no respect for each other or managers. I saw them constantly arguing with each or rolling their eyes when given instructions by their manager. Things remembered is my one stop shop for all types of gifts, so my brothers graduation was Saturday and I needed a last minute gift. I called an hour before the store closed and an associate informed me they would not be able to have the water globe ready that same night for me. The associate put me on the phone with the manager to see what could be done. He let me know he could get done as soon as possible and was patient with all the questions I had. If you ever need any help ask for Alberto, super helpful and informative. Got the job done in less the 35 min and looked amazing. We were so happy with the result and the water globe looked amazing! This will my last visit to any Things Remembered location due to poor customer service experiences. I previously posted a negative review for the TR location at the Brea mall. After receiving a late response from their corporate office after filing a complaint (over one week), I received a credit voucher for a future purchase, so I wanted to give this location a shot to see how it goes. I left disappointed. I am the only customer in the store that is actually buying something. The engraver is have a lengthy personal conversation with another customer who I believe is an off duty employee who just came in to chat. He is not working on any orders. The other employee was content in just standing behind the cash register silently. I was in the store for fifteen minutes and walked around the store passing by the employees several times. I received no acknowledgment. No one bothered to help me and I felt ignored. I used to work in retail, and I get it. I know how boring t gets, but I would always check in on my customers. If it's dead in the store all it takes is a moment to welcome the customer and then go back to whatever you are doing if you get the all clear. Anyways, my wife met up with me, and we had to get the attention of the cashier as she was doing her statue routine. She provides assistance, and we pick out what we want with the engraving. We ask how long it will take and are told around 1/2 hour. Normally, I would be okay with that except the engraver was not working on any orders. I was planning on passing on the engraving, but the engraver suddenly spoke (to me a paying customer). He stated that he would do my order right away. I guess the cashier gave me an estimated time based on him finishing his personal conversation and deciding when he would actually do his job. In any case, what should have happened is the cashier should have interrupted the engravers ongoing 15 minute personal conversation and told him that there is an engraving order. The engraver should have started the process ASAP (again no orders being worked on and no other customers). Better yet, the engraver could have paused his conversation and acknowledged me by doing his job since I'm standing next to him. I believe the multiple negative reviews. Customer service does not seem to be a priority with TR. The engraving process starts only when you either start to complain or look to cancel the order itself. Customer service is not difficult when you just put in a little effort since I feel my expectations were more than reasonable. read more

The manager Felix needs a serious attitude adjustment. I wanted to examine the item I was purchasing for a wedding before it was engraved and told him I was hypervigilant and if the item was damaged we'd have a problem. He then tells me "That's not a good quality to have." Um, no. How about you open up the merchandise, let me examine it and ring me up? Totally out of line. Then when I went to pick up the item, the engraving was up too high and not centered on the plate. He says "That's just how it is engraved and if we lowered it, the design you chose would be smaller". I almost walked out the door with the poor engraving job, but I just couldn't give my mentor this beautiful gift on her wedding day (less then 3hrs away) with mediocre engraving. Thank God for Alberto (I think that was his name) - he offered a SOLUTION and engraved a new frame for me in under 30 minutes. It was perfect! I've NEVER had a bad experience at this location, nor other Things Remembered stores. Felix's nonchalant attitude is bad for business. I'd rather drive to a TR in LA County then get treated like my money isn't good enough and my satisfaction isn't a priority. Smh. read more
