My sisters husband passed and we came here to have urns engraved, they were not very helpful or professional. First time we came in, they told us "sure we can engrave the urns!" Then we come a few days later to drop off the urns and they say "we can't engrave this brass urn because it will chip the paint..." okay fine so we get some plaques engraved to stick on the urn. They say "it should be ready tomorrow we will start on this right away!" ... two days pass then we don't hear from them... so I call to check on the order, the guy says "we haven't started the order I'm waiting for my manager so she can oversee because I have no idea what to do" and I'm like "can we please start this as soon as possible, the service is the day after tomorrow" and then they started as soon as I called, not before not after, despite saying they would take care of us as soon as possible. So they told us to come in 1-2 hours and the plaques would be ready. We came in 3 hrs later and they were rushing to finish. The plaques were stuck on kind of ugly, you can see the adhesive and it looks obvious and unprofessional. When I mentioned this the worker said "it's because we're rushing to stick these on". They even deviated from the original plan of plaque placement and had us purchase a stand to place one of the plaques on at the last minute. I wish that they would've taken time and care with my sister's husbands urns, but they didn't and she was too deep in grief to care. I would not recommend this place if you are grieving and need personal, special care. read more

My worst Experience :( Went here during Christmas season to have a gift made for my husband's boss. When we got it back it was all scratched up. Spoke to the Manager who tried to help me get another but they were all also scratched. She insisted I take a different scratched one, and had the whole, it's not me its you attitude. It was a ripoff and I will never spend my money at this location again. Very cramped. Don't expect to come in here with a wheelchair, stroller or if you are just larger than the average bear. read more

I walked in to purchase a retirement gift and the two employees ignored me for 10 minutes. I called a friend to ask their opinion on the gift and when I was finished I looked around for 10 more minutes. Finally I asked if I could get some help and one of them didn't even look up when she said sure and kept moving papers. I left never to return. read more

Admittedly, I'm a bit of a workaholic & keep a busy schedule. All that to say... I am not a fan of unnecessary waits. There were 2 customers prior to me. While I was in line, a lady came up to the counter to make her own side line.. When the cashier finished with the last customer in front of me - she tried to assist us both, rather than say, "I'll be right with you." To somebody! I Came here to get a going away gift for my former boss. I decided on a beautiful clock to engrave. I wrote a small little paragraph and waited a quick hour for them to finish the engraving. When I came back, I looked at the finished project, I was so excited at how amazing it looked so I took it home. When I pulled it out of the box, I noticed that there was a word misspelled. I wrote down my company's name incorrectly! I panicked and called to see if they could work with me and John the assistant manager was happy to engrave my clock for me once again. The Finished product was beautiful. John is a great asset to things remembered. He has great character and serves the customer swiftly and appropriately. I'm very impressed at the level of detail he put into the second finished product. From going on my company's site and matching the logos font to adding periods and exclamation marks at the end of my sentences. You made my day John, thank you very much. read more

Was patient with me even though I was indecisive, needed engraving work and arrived within an hour of the store closing. Horrible experience! I bought a keychain locket for father's day and within a week the magnet in the locket didn't work and the pictures kept falling out. I went to the store and the workers gave me attitude about the locket being scratched. I told them it's expected that it would get scratched because it's a KEYCHAIN. However the said they only thing they could do is give me free engraving if I bought a new one. They wouldn't even considering replacing it even though the keychain was defective. I told them the keychain was $20 and it's not worth buying another one because this one broke within a week. The sales worker said I'd be saving money if I bought another since I would get free engraving. She was such a rude idiot. I would never shop there again. Things are so expensive, the workers are rude, and the things are cheaply quality. read more

I have bought many gifts at the Inland Center Things Remembered store and all have been done on time and look beautiful, but what really surprised me was that my friend needed a special gift for an awards ceremony and the manager told us he could arrange to have her logo downloaded to their computer system so that it can be engraved on her items from any store. Not a good experience! Purchased and item from them for my wife's birthday. Filled out the paper work to have it engraved. Went to pick it up the next day and when proofing it noticed a misspelled word. Brought it their attention and the first thing they said was the engraver follows the work order on how it is written. Luckily, I still had my carbon copy and pointed out to them that it was spelled correctly on the work order, and that they made the mistake. After I showed them, he told me to give him 15 minutes to correct it. Came back 15 minutes later and picked up the item after proof reading the engraving. Took my wife away this weekend to celebrate her birthday and gave her the gift. Once she opened it we realized it was engraved upside down! Shame on me for not checking that too! Just assumed the engraver was intelligent enough for making sure he or she was not engraving the item upside down. Took it back this week and the person behind the corner had attitude about it and told me I would have to come back the next day when a manager was present and let the manager know what happened. Their name suits them because I will always remember the incompetence of their employees. read more

HORRIBLE service! I can't believe this. First we ordered a keychain for Father's Day and everything went fine. Then at 7pm that night we got a call telling me that what we ordered was out of stock and I needed to pick something else. We asked them about the display piece, so they agreed they will do that one. We came in to pick it up the next day and the lady told us "Didn't you get a call? That's not in stock". We told her about the display piece, and she told us they told us wrong, it's gone too. So we had to pick another. We did, then had to wait for that one to be engraved. Not only when we got home was the date WRONG but the keychain was engraved wrong. It wasn't a flip like normal ones were, one side was upside down! When we went to return that, the service was horrible and we were treated like we had to keep quiet about the issue even though there was another girl with another return because they spelled our name wrong! Yeah, I will not be dealing with this unprofessional place again, and judging by the other reviews given, I wouldn't if I was you either. read more
