I came to this location to pick up two personalized items. The two ladies who greeted my girlfriend and I were very friendly and brought my item out within a minute! They also made sure that I inspected the item before taking it away, which is much appreciated. The items I picked up (piggy banks for a girl and a boy) were even better than I expected! They were both very well-made and the colors were fantastic. If you're in search of piggy banks for babies, definitely look into the ones offered at Things Remembered. I'll definitely be recommending this location to friends and family for any personalized specialty items! read more

Our order of 2 ornaments is worthless. The ornaments were good but the engraving was terrible. Tiny print that is unreadable. Plenty of space to make the engraving larger but was so small you can't read the inscription. The ornaments are worthless. Will never order from Things Remembered again. read more

I was searching online for a nice watch storage box and it just so happens they had a nice one at a decent price. I wanted to see it in person so we went to this store to see it. The box was nice and the materials were pretty good quality. I purchased it and they engraved it within an hour, which wasnt too bad. I thought their service and products were pretty neat. I would definitely buy from them again. read more

I was traveling to Houston for a Christmas party. My local Things Remembered wanted an arm and leg for 10+ stainless steel flask that I had purchased at a different store and wanted customized with last names. We contacted Susan (store manager) before packing and she confirmed that she could help me and charge a reasonable price. I brought my 11 flasks off on Thursday night and she helped me finalize the design despite the store being super busy due to Christmas. She made recommendations on what would look best and still fit my taste. Her staff called on Friday to confirm all were ready. I asked if she could do a 12th, even though they were closing in 45 mins. They handled the extra flask without any questions while I waited 15 mins. Even more impressive, one the flasks that did not meet her high standard for work was redone without me having to see it first. Susan was very professional and friendly. If you want to add the extra touch to a gift, then I recommend you check her out. read more

Hello Yelpers! PLEASE, do not and I repeat do not go to this location!! This review doesn't even deserve a star. I had the most over-the-top horrible experience ever in my life as a customer in which I had to tolerate with a very rude store manager name Susan. I'm sorry, but I think she needs to find a new profession because obviously retail isn't cutting it for her if she can't be courteous to her customers. How did she even make it to management is still questionable to me. First off, I had some engraving done on some wedding gift purchases and noticed the years was incorrect. I brought it to their attention and was informed that they will engrave it for free but I will have to re-purchase the items again because it was not in stock. Although I didn't have much time to debate the situation, I decided to take it for a grain of salt and purchase the items again. I brought it in and talked to the assistant manager and he told me that he will leave a note (he knows that the engraving needed to be done in a week) and have Susan call me the next day. Well the next day turned into 4 days and still no phone call. I had to call the store and it turned out that she never got the memo. Instead of apologizing, she ends up talking back to me on the phone which never solved anything. We were going back and forth and boy it was a lot of work to just get a simple project done. I found a coupon that says "$5 off of $30(or $40- I can't remember) item per customer" on my phone with a barcode. Since I had to purchase two different items, I brought my mother who paid for one item and I paid the other item so it was two transactions purchased with two different cards. The assistant manager at first would not honor two transactions or use the coupon per transaction. Are you kidding me??? Can you not read ENGLISH? It was like pulling his teeth just to get him to understand the coupon... I seriously looked at him like he was dumb who could not read and he finally honored it. This experience just ruined it for me as I have been a loyal customer for over decade to Things Remembered. I'm so delighted I will never have to see Susan's fake-self again. So please everyone, spare yourself and go elsewhere. And Susan if you're reading this, here is a helpful tip. I would suggest you learn this acronym "WETCO" the five traits most crucial in employees with frequent customer contact: Warmth, Empathy, Teamwork, Conscientiousness, and Optimism. read more

12/17/2015 @ 300P The District Manager contacted me about my concerns regarding poor service by Susan at the store. I was pleased that she took the email I sent serious enough to follow up. I told her to check out the reviews on Yelp because the rudeness is an ongoing thing with the store Manager. I always appreciate when corporate follows up and I hope the issues not just with me but others will be address. We should not continue to support businesses that treat their customers poorly. Initial Review below: I have tried to give this particular store my business two days in a row. I placed an order online yesterday and an hour hour before I was supposed to pick it up I received a call from the store telling me they were out of stock and they were cancelling my order. They never offered an alternative or even an apology nor did they try to call me earlier to the time I placed the order. I received an email later from someone in their customer service department apologizing and offering me 20% off for the inconvenience and when I called the customer service department it took me speaking with a supervisor to get things right (btw Shelly was awesome). I placed a new order today through Shelly and I decided to call the store an hour later to ensure the same problem wouldn't happen with them being out of stock. Susan the Store Manager got on the phone and was extremely rude. I had never been talked to so badly by someone at a company I was a consumer at. Even though it's the holidays and they have an influx of customers there's no excuse for poor service or rudeness by the store's employees. Just like customers should not be rude to the employees. The store should staff accordingly so they won't compromise customer service in order to churn out the product. My suggestion to Things Remembered is to ensure your managers are customer service based people and not just there to engrave and manage the staff. Horrible experience and I will most likely find a local store to do my engraving moving forward. read more

I don't normally write feedback, but the experience from this location was terrible. First of all, I bought multiple wedding gifts from this company 2 times in last 2 months. My friend is trying to get a special wedding gift for one of our high school buddy, who we are friend for 15+ years. It was last week, I arrived to the mall before my friend on that day, so I decided to get some idea for him before he get there. I walked in the location during a weekday, so it was nobody there at all and there were 3 employees were working, one in the back and two at the front behind the counter. I first walked in, no greeting and which was fine, cause I thought they maybe busy of something. I walked up to this male employee and ask him for wedding gift suggestion. The male employee quickly pointed at the wall behind me and told me(The other lady was on her phone texting), "That whole wall right there is for wedding". I told him, "I already got the champagne glasses and the photo album, do you have any other recommendation?" The male employee was silent for good 5 seconds and suddenly the female employee, later on I found out her name was SUSAN, said, "The water globe". The male employee then pointed me there and just leave me there myself. Since my friend was stuck in traffic, so I took some pictures for some of the good looking water globe and sent to my friend. He didn't like the idea of water globe because they were all around $30 -$50, except one of them was $100. Since the wedding couple were our good friend, so we didn't want to get them something cheap. I decided to walk up to the counter again and ask those 2 employees and see they have some other ideas, this was how everything bad started!! I walked up to the counter and asked them (Susan still on her phone), "Do you guys have any other suggestion for wedding gift because my friend thing this is too cheap..........." I hadn't even finished my sentence SUSAN jumped in and yelled, "THEN WHAT YOU WANT?" and she walked to the section (BTW, that was the first time anyone walked out from the counter) and tell me this one is $100 and it's our best seller, then walked back to the counter. I was super outrage and couldn't believe what just happen in this retailer, because many time I come to the store in different location, I always ask them for idea on gift, but this was new experience for me. Once again I walked to the counter and asked for SUSAN's help and said, "apparently you are too busy on your phone and cannot help me, do you think I can get your customer service phone number and they maybe able to help me better?" She turned her phone at me right away and told me, "I wasn't on my phone, and I was doing work and texting my employee". I said, "I understand that you texting your employee, but I was asking you question about gift idea and you showed me that you had no interest to help me at all and yelled at me and asked me WHAT YOU WANT? If you don't want to help me, just let me know and I will go to another location" She replied, "I helped you, but I can't help you the whole time" I said, "The whole time? You didn't even help me at all." thing didn't get any better and I finally got my customer service number. My friend finally arrived and we looked at couple thing in that location and decided to drive to First Colony Mall (20 miles away). BTW I want to mention when I got to First Colony Mall location, they have only 1 employee working and no customer inside the store, but she was busy operating 2 machines together and try to get some products engraved for her customers. I asked her the same questions like I did in the previous location, instead of the water globe, the lady recommended me the clock, picture frame, and the wedding blanket. And I forgot to mention, she walked out on the sales floor and showed me all those products, instead of pointed them to me. My friend and I were so happy with her customer service in the First Colony Mall and we bought the wedding gift from her. read more

If I could give NO STARS I WOULD!!! I purchased a gold necklace over the phone from the store manager Susan when I went to pick it up the necklace had tarnish all over it that she could not remove with jewelry cleaner!! I told her I would not take the necklace so she offered to make me another one that would be ready the next day, I agreed and left the store. 10 minutes later I get a phone call from her saying that she does not have any of that necklace in stock and can give me something different she described what she was going to give me and when to pick it up. I came to pick it up today and the necklace was the CHEAPEST PIECE OF SHIT IN THE STORE!! I refused to leave with it! She had a terrible attitude and yelled that she would refund me my money! I decided to get a musical carousel because the baby shower is today!!! She over charged me for the lettering and the carousel!! I had to explain to her the charges from what I had already paid for!! She was rude and EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL TO ME WHILE GIVING ME MY REFUND BECAUSE SHE FUCKED UP!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! Please save yourself the heartache and pain of dealing with people that have zero customer service skills and don't know how to do their job correctly!! read more

I wasn't even in the store long enough to ask if they carried what I was looking for. I showed up at the mall 5 minutes before the store opened apparently. The two (very easily swinging) glass doors were unlocked so I walked in and said "good morning." The blonde haired older women that was there treated me like I had forced my way into the store, including muttering something after I left under her breath. I was looking for 100-150 personalized wedding gifts. This was my first trip to a "things remembered", and I have to say that they lived up to their name. It's the first place that I can remember swearing to never do business with that I have never done business with to begin with. There are plenty of other engravers. Nice job! read more

The store manager Susan was the rudest person I have ever met in my life. She laughed at my choice of font and spoke to me in the most condescending voice I have ever experienced. She was not gentle with the items I had purchased and insulted me several times. She scratched the bracelet I had purchased because she was a slamming it down. She took a phone call and started yelling at THAT customer while still slamming my bracelet down out of frustration. I asked her a question about the product and she ROLLED HER EYES, mumbled, couldn't even look at me, and didn't let me finish before she started responding. I've never met a human being this rude before IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, let alone a store manager. The 4 customers behind me in line started whispering about how awful Susan was, and soon every customer in the store was literally AFRAID of interacting with this woman. Three of these customers ended up walking out just by watching how HORRIBLY this woman spoke to people. read more
